Short Getaway

Everything was as stated. Wild Dunes staff was great. Check-in staff was very welcoming and cordial. We had issues with wi-fi but Wild Dunes IT was amazing. Wild Dunes support was fantastic. Only downside was being on first level but was ocean view.

beach get-away

This condo is in a great area. The beds were comfy, as was the living room furniture. The kitchen has been updated, yet lacked simple items such as a teapot, glass measuring cup, etc. The bathrooms are in need of renovation. What was most disappointing was that the property is listed as "ocean view," which was a bit misleading. It is located on the first floor of the building, so while we had a great view of the pool and palm trees, only the tiniest speck of the ocean was visible from the balcony. For what I paid per night, the cleaning fee, and taxes, this was not what I expected. I have had great success with prior VRBO stays, yet this one did not measure up.

Beautiful condo but needs some cleaning and maintenance

The overall property is nice however the condo floor was covered in sand and muck. The lighting was not consistent in the master bathroom. There were not enough towells and there were bugs in the bed. I got bitten all over. the shower curtain in the master was covered in mold.

Last minute trip August 3rd - 4 nights

Fantastic location. 300 yd walk to beach. Pool was right below balcony. But for the money, you'd expect more. Pool didn't open until 9AM (one day it was after 9:30), and closed at sunset..whenever that was. Unit was well stocked, but white shower curtain had a bunch of mold. Peeling paint in bathroom. And the last two evenings the refrigerator was leaking onto the floor. Resort itself was just understaffed. Most of the staff had left for the season (ie college kids back to school), so there were long waits at restaurants, etc. Everybody still working there were very friendly and did their best, but still.... Wild Dunes should charge less for their services, lodging, resort fees, etc. after July.
