This Beach Cottage is located at the Rookery, which is completely furnished in modern style, decorated with care and love to be clean and fresh when you arrive. Snowbirds welcome. Located across the street from the beach, it's 0.4 miles to the beach.

The complex has two pools: one small pool just outside your door and a huge pool with an extended shallow end and an outdoor Jacuzzi. It is located at mile marker 6, which is 16 miles down Fort Morgan Road from Gulf Shores. The living room has a sofa, leather lounge chair with ottoman, and another relaxing chair in the corner. The TV size in the living room is 32". Master bedroom has a Queen bed with 32" TV, the second bedroom features a Queen size bed with 32" TV, and the third bedroom also has 2 sets of twin bunk beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher and ice maker. This unit also includes a clothes washer and dryer.

The Rookery was designed to be a natural and quiet resort and is located adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. There are several golf courses, restaurants, and a marina near by.

* Policy prohibits rental to adults under the age of 25
*Parking passes are $25 each plus tax and one is included with your reservation. A 2nd parking pass can be added upon request.
*$125 is non-refundable if you should need to cancel
* Due to the Covid-19 crisis, all comforters have been removed from beds. We have replaced with a quilt that is washed with each stay. If you prefer heavier bedding, you may want to bring extra bedding. We want to do our best to offer a sanitized clean bed for your stay.

Please Note: After reservation, you will receive a digital rental contract that can be signed electronically. This is a mandatory part of the booking process.

Your remaining balance will be charged to the card on file unless you notify us otherwise if your stay is less than 14 days.
Reservations including stays 14 days or longer must be paid in full 90 days before your arrival and are due by check to avoid an additional 3% credit card processing fee. This also includes Winter stays lasting 14 days or longer.
An additional 3% processing fee will be applied to reservations lasting 14 days or longer that are paid with a credit or debit card.

Great resort for family. Easy location to town, beach and the old fort. Kids loved the old fort tour. Large pool awesome and smaller one next to our house was fantastic for the kids. We lived it.

Quiet and comfortable

very relaxing plenty of room for two teenagers and a preteen to have there own space and table large enough so we could all have dinner together .we had everything we needed for a wonderful week.

Beach vacation

The property was very nice. I was under the impression that there was a pool right outside our room. There was not. I was also told that there was an arcade. Did not find it either. No information at the house regarding where this was. Was kind of disappointed for the grandkids.

Get what you pay for . Never forget

I get that it was cheap and I should ha e known . Bedding was hospital type . No Extra sheets or pillow cases . Pillows and mattress were awful . I had to go buy two and pillow cases . Kitchen wasn’t equipped . No skillet unless you count the one you may could fry one egg in . Went and bought two skillets also . I mean the can open was a hand can opener and that’s hard for older people . No place to put your grocery’s . We had to put them on the counter and table . But I leaned . You get what you pay for . The comforter if you wanted more cover was stained or dirty . The towels were stained . And so cheap . I mean cute area the pool was so nice . I’ll stay in the rookery but never that house again .never .

Sweet, Simple, Plenty of Room

We came for a simple beach vacation - we had 4 kids under the age of 10 with us, who only wanted to dig in the sand and swim in the ocean. This cottage was an easy 2 minute drive from a great public beach and we went every single day. Plenty of room, just don't forget your essentials - we forgot salt, pepper, coffee, and trash bags. We will return!

We enjoyed our stay. Overall we liked the cottage, however the sofa needs replacement and both beds creaked and groaned. They also need replacement.

Beaches were GREAT!!!

We liked the area and the beaches! Fort Morgan Beach is the best beach to find shells early in the morning! It is a away from most places, so it was easier to cook at the cottage. However, we were not impressed with the cottage. Its actually a duplex with limited space. The cottage needs some upkeep and repairs. There was also a "security" person watching people at the pool in his own car - which was creepy. We will not be staying at the cottages again!!

COVID-19 Getaway

This was the perfect spot to be away from the crowds. While the stay was pleasant, there needed to be some repairs to some things. The beds are very noisy when you move. Pool was great! Short distance to beach.

Very disappointed with the lack of a view. The scruff and bush could have been cleaned up. The beds were very uncomfortable and the drive to anywhere was excessive. There was one teaspoon in the unit and lacking in pots and pans. The weather was lovely but that is the best thing I can say.

We enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed our stay. I wish the check out time was later. It’s hard to get everything packed and the property cleaned with the keys turned back in by 10am. Especially when you are traveling with children. I feel like with as much as they changed for the cleaning fee they should be doing more of the cleaning (my original post had the amount of the charge, but apparently that’s not allowed in the review which has me further annoyed). The place was really nice, and there was plenty of sleeping space for the 8 of us. The bed I had was really squeaky. You could hear it every time you sat down which was annoying. The place was well decorated and very cozy and clean. The water was rusty the first few times we bathed our children, but it did clear up. They also had to close the pool down because it got pooped in. That wasn’t a huge deal because we spent most of the time on the beach. They did open it back up the next day so we did spend a little time at the pool. It was nice, and the kids enjoyed it. For the price it was well worth it. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here. We all had a great time and we’re sad to say goodbye.
