Ocean Front at the Washout~ Foose's Folly

One of Folly's Best! This 3 bedroom 3 bath elevated house is located at the Folly Beach Washout. Sit on the front porch and take in an unobstructed view of the beach. Watch skilled surfers, boats sailing by, and dolphins playing. A huge partially covered deck on the side and back offers a picturesque view of the Folly River and the Morris Island lighthouse. This is so much more than just a rental house! The owners spend most of their summertime here so you know the house is immaculately maintained. The inside is very clean with very nice furniture and amenities. The living area is comfortable and has plenty of space for everyone. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds and the third has one double and one single bed. Each bedroom has its own TV. There is a daybed in the living area and a large TV. The area under the house is paved and offers a wonderful breeze and a place to enjoy the outdoors during a break from the beach. You will also find a hammock and the third full bath downstairs. Foose's Folly does not allow pets. All photos are current and accurately depict the property. Please book with confidence. This property is licensed by city of Folly Beach as a vacation rental - License Number LIC000767. Great place!

This our 3rd stay at this property. Super close to the ocean and the area is nice for biking. Also, the property management company, Best Rentals, is very responsive in terms of answering questions and dealing with anything unexpected that pops up.

Fantastic location in Folly Beach

Truly a great location. We had issues with the heating and had to leave a couple of days early, but that was no fault of the owner's/manager's. If ever we come back to Folly Beach, we'll definitely be staying here.

Great stay

The location of this property is wonderful, being able to sit on the deck and watch the ocean was amazing. Communication from the property manager was great, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice but definitely needs some updates and TLC. We aren’t fancy people so it was fine. Overall, a great place and we really enjoyed our stay.

You cannot find a better view of the ocean. The outside areas are great. The house is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. I loved the pictures of family in the house. The TVs are a little old. The middle bedroom TV would not connect to the Internet. There were ample towels and the beds were quite comfortable. We did very little cooking so having no dish washer did not pose a problem to us.l, but it may to some. All in all it was great!

Perfect home - away from home

Directions, access, layout, front and back / side ocean view patios deck, well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to cook for the family. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped with blankets, towels, ect. The rockers on the front patio were a perfect setting to watch the sunrise, surfers and the ocean waves. We'll definitely be back to this spot; like i said,, it's home away from home.

Amazing Views!!!

This home’s views are even better than the pictures! The home is directly across from “the washout,” a great section tor surfing in Charleston. There are dolphins to watch off the front porch, and it is an easy walk across the street to the beach. The back of the home has a deck with gorgeous marsh views as well. The home itself is extremely clean and well-maintained. I hope to stay here again and would recommend to anyone!!

We were very happy with our stay at Foose's Folly! The online pictures did not do justice to the view you had of the ocean and the marsh behind the house. We thought the street in front would be a bother potentially, but it was not at all. Safe to walk across to the beach and did not disrupt the view from the porch. The house was great!

Absolutely Perfect!

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Foose’s Folly. The view from the front deck was just spectacular along with the soothing sounds of the crashing surf. Sunrise and sunset can also be captured from this spot. House was cozy and immaculate. The town of Folly Beach is adorable with easy access to Charleston and surrounding areas. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We hope to return some day when the weather is just a bit warmer.

Location & layout of home are great! It is, however, in need of some TLC throughout & upgrading of appliances & furniture. Was shocked & disappointed re: no dishwasher & the TV cable did not include HD. (Big college football weekend...)

Foose’s Folly for New Year’s

This house has it all. Space inside, the best porches, views, and very clean. We decided to get away (my daughters and I) for New Year’s and Folly Beach’s Flip Flop Drop was did not disappoint! We had a great rime. My favorite was the porch. Even in the fog, it was nice to sit out and drink coffee and watch the surfer’s at the washout.

Wonderful beachside getaway

This place was wonderful. It had all the comforts of home with the added bonus of waking up to the tranquil sound of the waves crashing on the beach and watching the sunrise. We spent many hours sitting on the porch rocking chairs enjoying the view and relaxing. The restaurants & shops of Folly Beach are just down the road and its a short drive if you want to spend time in the heart of Charleston or explore many of the top attractions in the area. Check-in was straightforward & easy. We appreciated the bag of necessities (paper towels, dish & hand soap, etc) and the book of information of the area was very helpful. Would definitely want to stay here again in the future

This place was great

The house was quite spacious with a great view of the washout. The house was also well stocked and clean. The only thing I would mention is that the third bathroom is outside. That is not immediately clear in the description unless you read till the last sentence. Also there is no dishwasher.

Fabulous Foose’s Folly

This is a dream location, and a perfect beach house for a casual family beach vacation. We spent every day on the beach, and some evening walks too. The house was fresh and clean, and we had all the basic needs covered. Beyond the basics, the porch with both ocean and marsh views. We loved the hammock placement, the nature views, and tons of wildlife sightings. We even saw two deer running behind the house. The community is quiet and peaceful. The house was precisely as described and reviewed by others!

Nice little beach cottage great location. Property is looking a little down at the heels, clean but worn. Maybe that's a consequence of ocean front. Could use a face lift. I continue to resent the high VRBO booking fees - absolutely no value added. This is independent of the property, of course.

Perfect family beach rental

The property was spotless and in a great location with unobstructed ocean views AND marsh views off the back deck. Perfect for our family of 4 though could have fit a larger group. The home was well equipped and the rental Company was very responsive and easy to work with. We loved being a golf cart ride away from the craziness on center street. Very quiet and fun to watch the surfers. The neighbors did have a party but wasn’t too loud. The Master BR is a few degrees warmer than rest of house. Still loved it and would rent again.
