Stayed with my large family for a wedding near by. The property was great and we all had enough space. The host answered all our questions and was helpful. Would stay again
This is a beautiful, spacious property that worked well for our group retreat. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, both inside and outside, and having multiple suites with their own bathrooms was a big plus. The beds were comfortable, the suites were quiet, the pond was a nice feature, and we especially enjoyed the large, beautiful kitchen. The grill also worked great. There were a few things that kept the property from quite matching the expectations we had from the listing and the price. The landscaping around the gazebo in particular was pretty overgrown and could use some attention. Also, most of the screen doors on the suites had damaged screens, which meant we couldn’t leave the doors open for fresh air without letting bugs in. One of the damaged doors even scratched one of our guests. Those screen doors really need to be repaired. The kitchen was great overall, but a few basic items would have been helpful. We couldn’t find oven mitts, so we had to use towels, and there was only one pair of grill tongs with no grill spatula. There also weren’t basic cooking starters such as salt or oil, so guests should plan to bring those. We did pay a premium August rate, and for that price I would have expected the property and outdoor areas to be a little better maintained. The pictures online also gave us a somewhat more polished impression than what we found in person. That said, the amount of space, number of bathrooms, comfortable sleeping arrangements, kit
This is not a luxury hotel - but this is a great property for getting away from it all with enough room for an extended family! The kitchen is huge and well stocked. Each room has its own window AC and several rooms have their own bathroom. The Dining Room/Sunroom/Living Room layout is great for large groups - we even moved tables around and fit our whole family (20 people) at one long table one night!
Don't worry about packing linens and towels (except maybe a beach towel) as that is all taken care of! The home was also stocked with paper goods and soaps. Washer and Dryer are there if you want to pack even lighter!
Plenty of space to play games by the pond - paddle boats for the kids, gazebo with large grill. Explore the town of Honesdale just south, boating on Lake Wallnaupak about 30 min away, head north to go tubing on the Delaware (I recommend Lou's Tubes) and play in Tanners Falls nearby.
Only drawback is lack of cell reception (which is also a plus!) Owner was very responsive when we asked about the lawn getting mowed. Report any problems and it's taken care of!
Facility is great for a large family/group get together. Place was well stocked with everything we needed.
It is an older structure in need of some minor repairs but still a very comfortable and clean place to stay.

What a great place!!!
This house was great for our family's weekend trip. There was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The pool table, swingset and trampolines were perfect for our kids (ages 4-15) and kept them entertained for hours. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the house was very cozy. We can't wait to visit in the summer!
