Perfect Family Getaway

Me, my husband, our 3 kids and my parents stayed here for 6 days. It fit us all comfortably, had a great layout and was close to playgrounds, and downtown. The owners were very responsive to communications during our stay and provided a welcoming environment. We would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was ready for us, we had what we needed. Friendly neighbors were a pleasant addition to the area. We will certainly keep you in mind next time we are in the area.

Well decorated property in fun location!

We picked this property because of the location (near downtown, Everman’s Co-op, a park, a beach, and more…) and because we saw that it had a “Blue Angels” room. The home was very clean and equipped with everything you need. The decor was super fun and made our stay even more special. The communication with the owners was easy and very helpful. They really went out of their way to personalize our stay and we were so appreciative. We highly recommend The Gathering House.

nice but a little disappointing

The house was clean and the towels were ample and plump. The mattresses on the trundles were really bad. It seemed that the master bed was not a queen but really a double. The kitchen sink was annoying in that it wouldn't stop dripping without always adjusting. The plates and bowls should be microwaveable. It would have been really nice to have room darkening curatins n the bedrooms.

That’s a shocking review. Are you sure you rated the correct booking? Out of more than 220 reviews on several platforms, and with a 4.94 overall rating, this is by far the most anomalous rating we have ever gotten. Sorry you were so disappointed.

Wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay at the Gathering house very much, we were in town for vacation and my wife’s birthday. We were greeted with a card and welcome gifts for us. The weather did not cooperate during our stay and we spent more time than we normally would at the house. There were 7 of us: 2 adults, 2 year old, 5 year old and 3 16 year olds. The rooms were comfortable and fit our needs well, the park across from us was wonderful, we did underestimate the need for a bit more living space but that was solely due to us needing to be at the house more and out of the weather, the adults had the chairs in the living room and the kids didn’t mind sitting at the table to watch TV and hang out together, there are not TVs in the rooms but the internet was wonderful and we were able to hook the kids tablets to internet. The coffee bar and stocked bathrooms were a very nice surprise. We were minutes away from everything we could need and wanted to do. We were close enough to the beaches but far enough from the crowds. We would definitely recommend the Gathering house and would stay again.

This property was fantastic. I have a family of four that stayed the week of Thanksgiving. The house is beautiful and we were all very comfortable there. It is close to everything! The owners are great, communication went very well and timely. The personal touches are fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend! Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful home

From the booking to check in everything was easy and efficient. Once in the home we were greeted with a kind letter and some special treats. The owners take great pride in their property and it was reflected in the special touches, lovely wall art and cleanliness. Our only complaint is that we didn’t book it for a longer stay! Would highly recommend this property!

Relaxing Paradise

Everything about our stay at The Gathering House was wonderful! The house is so close to everything downtown and we visited Joe Patti’s more than once for fresh seafood. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out was easy and smooth. We enjoyed playing cards around the table after eating dinner every night and watching fireworks from the Wahoos on the front porch. Everything was exactly what we wanted in a vacation, relaxing and fun. We will definitely be back!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at The Gathering Place. The house was clean and equipped with everything that we needed, including detergent pods for the washer, hair dryer, coffee, iron, and cleaning supplies. The house was exactly as pictured and steps away from a nice playground for the kids. The house right in front of the house wasn’t the best view, but we didn’t mind too much, considering this house was not as much as a house with a beach view. We enjoyed riding bikes to the bay and nearby restaurants. It’s a 20 minute drive to Pensacola Beach, but the drive is pretty. We enjoyed going to the beaches on the east side of Pensacola headed towards Navarre. They were way less crowded (we basically had the beach to ourselves) and still had showers to rinse off. Overall, we had a great vacation.

I immediately felt welcomed to my hometown again and the ambience of the historical decorations.

Enjoyed this property. We were in town for a funeral so it was a sufficient venue. There we're no TVs in any of the bedrooms which created a.challenge for the kids. The host are excellent and had great communication.

As Naval Aviators, we've traveled the world, sometime together, sometimes alone, and often separated by endless miles of open ocean. Home has always been those places where our growing family could come together, whether that was for a few days in a foreign port or in our own home at various places around the country. Now we have returned to Pensacola, where we hope to stay for the next 20 years. The Gathering House was built and designed for those who live far and wide and who wish to visit Pensacola to see family members or to rekindle old friendships.
