Come and enjoy a few nights of fun and fishing on the historical Fish River. This centrally located property is a mere 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Fairhope and it is approximately 30 minutes away from the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Our comfy river cabin includes 1 bed/ 1bath and is able to comfortably sleep two adults. The kitchen is fully functional as well as an outdoor charcoal grill. A large covered porch is an inviting place to sit, relax, and enjoy the view of the river. It is intentionally positioned on Fish River basin, which gives you a great deal of privacy while also being a stones-throw away from the main river. The cabin does not sit on the water. but our beautiful boathouse provides ample water access. We have a long pier for fishing and swimming, as well as a beautiful boathouse. We have a place to launch kayaks or other small boats as well as the perfect place for swimming. This prime Fish River location gives you access to some of the best fishing Baldwin County has to offer. This river’s name is no coincidence because it is chock-full of redfish, speckle trout, and even dolphins from time to time. Come and see what all of the fuss is about at The Cabin on Fish River.

I rate this property a 100!! If you are considering booking this place , DO NOT hesitate . It was beautifully decorated and very clean . It had all the comforts of home . The icing on the cake was the boathouse . We spent a lot of our time there . We absolutely loved it ! The owner was very easy to get ahold of . Overall , we loved our stay !
We enjoyed our time here so very much. It was beautiful, clean and so relaxing. Susan is a great host and thinks of everything. We will be going here again!
We enjoyed our weekend kid free getaway. It was quiet and just the relaxation we needed. We had some great food and enjoyed kayaking to Big Daddy's Grill. We even decided to go for a dip and had a dolphin swim up in the cove. It was an enjoyable weekend.
This was a wonderful place to spend a long weekend! The house was small, but perfect for 2 people. We spent most of our time down at the dock fishing or laying in the sun and reading on the top dock. Close enough to food and entertainment, but far enough to feel like a getaway. Susan was a great host and kept us updated as our trip approached. We would definitely stay here again!
The boathouse is fabulous, just wish the fish had been biting. The accommodations were very good. Bed was very comfy. Only thing missing was washer and dryer but kitchen was fully stocked. The only suggestion I have is cutting back on spraying or washing the bed covers in some kind of scent,
This serene property is nestled along a quiet recessed alcove along Fish River. It's a beautiful setup b/c you're able to enjoy watching boaters pass by w/o any river traffic interfering w/your swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, etc.Although the cabin had everything a couple needed for weekend getaway, the two story riverfront boat house was the real gem of this property. The upper deck is huge and has plenty of comfortable seating, fans to cool you down on hot days, a large screen tv, refrigerator, outdoor bar, grill and more. And, the sunsets are to die for.Trust me, you'll find yourself spending more time there than in the cabin. As for location, the cabin between Fairhope and Foley, AL. Either is about 20 minutes away and both have plenty of events going on and places to see throughout the year. The white sand beaches of Gulf Shores. AL are also a mere 45 minute drive.Lastly, if you have any questions, the property owner is quick to respond and to ensure your stay goes well. Go ahead a plan your trip. We'll be back again next year.

Great getaway!
We had such a great time at Susan’s little piece of paradise. The house itself is beautiful and you have everything you need. The boat house is superb - we enjoyed each evening going down to the dock and watching the fish at the green light. There are some big fish down there if you’re patient enough to wait and watch for them. We saw fireflies at night, too! We took the kayaks out one day and used them to float down to Big Daddy’s Grill, which had great food. We spent a lot of time on the river fishing, but only caught 2 fish. Susan told us about the local Mardi Gras parades and we were able to go to one of those, as well. The location of the house is just far enough away to be peaceful and close enough for everything to be convenient. Susan is a great host and I highly recommend her property for a relaxing getaway!
Everything was amazing! This was our second time staying here, and we had a wonderful time. The worst part is just trying to decide if we wanted to relax in the house, on the back porch, or the boat dock. I wanted to be in all three places. I had an amazing nap on the comfortable tanning chairs on the dock, and later, sitting on the porch listening to the rain on the tin roof, was just what we needed to end the day. We will definitely return!
My husband and I spent the week, relaxing, enjoying all the nature. aour favorite thing was the amazing boathouse.Cabin is small, but oerfect for a couple. This was our first visit to Alabama, the people, weather and natural beauty were wonderful.
I had a great time staying at this property. In every category it exceeded expectations. We chose this location because we want a quiet weekend away y to enjoy nature. This is a great place to do that . I was particularly struck by the cleanliness and condition of the property. Everything was as advertised and there were no hiccups. Everything worked and was in good condition. The communications were clear and helpful. I hope we will return soon. I would really like to do more kayaking.
The cabin was nice and the boat house even nicer. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and biking. We ate at Jesses in Magnolia springs, Big Daddy’s near the cabin and Gambinos in Fairhope.
We loved the entire experience. The house was great with plenty of amenities. The boat house was amazing with tons of access to the water. We swam, fished, grilled, and kayaked every day. The sunsets are beautiful overlooking the river. We will book this property again!!!
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cabin. The boathouse was amazing. We sat out there most every night just enjoying nature. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful location and property!!!!

Why they chose this property
We have always wanted to own property on Fish River. The cabin is in very close proximity to our primary residence which makes it an ideal get-away.
What makes this property unique
The property is located in a basin which provides a more private setting, while the main river is a mere one hundred feet away. A small sand bar is located near the basin which can be enjoyed during low tide. The scenery from the boat house as well as the cabin provides an up close view of an estuary protected for generations.
