Charming loft apartment, on the 1st floor without elevator, located in the historic heart of the old town, at the foot of the castle, in a 17th century building. Classified 4 stars by the Haute-Savoie tourist office (Udotsi 74).

Sainte-Claire, Annecy

The property is adjacent to Rue Sainte-Claire, the heart of old Annecy. Many shops and restaurants are nearby and you can readily walk to the train, car park and lake. The flat itself was pleasant, quiet and well stocked. The managers, Anne-Marie and Philippe were excellent in responding to both pre and post-booking inquiries. This is a very good VRBO option for two persons staying in Annecy.

Loved the property. Fabulous location right in the heart of the old town and yet very quiet. Less than 10 minutes walk from the train/bus station. A lovely surprise to step out of the apartment straight into the fantastic Annecy market on Friday. You are also only 10 minutes walk from the stunning lake with various activities, or to catch a bus for more swimming, walking and paddle boarding out of town. Annecy also has some great little shops, bars and restaurants.The apartment was very comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen to enable you to eat in if you wish. The bed is super comfortable and fans were provided for hot weather. The bath and shower facilities were good. Lots of personal touches everywhere and everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Old Town Charm

Excellent location in the old town area. Close to shops, restaurants, lake and Christmas Market. Loft was clean and had an equipped kitchen with everything we required. Having a washing machine was a great bonus, Outdoor terrace is very private and would have been great to use if the weather was a bit warmer. Check in was easy and host replied to messages quickly. Would stay again if back in Annecy.

Lovely stay in Annecy

We stayed for three nights in this very Instagram worthy apartment. So many cute bits of decor throughout, and all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Walked out the door and right into the Tuesday market where we purchased food for dinner that night. Although we had two days of drizzle we walked all around the village menu reading and around the lake for photos. The check in instructions are very precise and we had no issues navigating from the train station only a 6 minute walk. A prefect place to stay in Annecy.

An absolutely charming retreat

This property and the owners are wonderful! It is right in the heart of the old town with lovely cobblestone streets and pubs, eateries and the farmers market are right outside your door. We had a bit of trouble finding it with the GPS because it is in a pedestrian only area but once we did we were thrilled! It is absolutely charming and Phillipe was very responsive to any questions we had. We loved our time in Annecy!

Great experience!

My husband and I stayed here in Annecy for a few days in January. The experience was amazing! From the beautiful home with the (which was fully stocked) to the lovely, lush outdoor space to the perfect location. Philippe & Anne-Valerie we’re the best hosts! They were always in communication with us from beginning to end. Even if it was just to make sure we had everything we needed or answer any questions we had about recommendations ;) Annecy itself is a magical little village. We will definitely stay here again. PS if you are into snowboarding or skiing, I highly recommend renting a car and driving up to Avoriaz. Well worth it.

rue St Clare and it’s medieval architecture is truly amazing

We have been staying in Annecy for over 10 years at a village called tailores just across the lake we rent a lakeside house for 1 month every summer And stay at a French ski reasort for 1 week over Christmas We decided this year instead of staying at ski resort we could stay in Annecy and drive to a resort close by Le clusaz had snow and was only 55 min drive from rue st Clare Annecy The host Ann Valérie met us at the front door she spoke clear English and was extremely polite she showed us her apartment If you are not already impressed by the medieval architecture then the apartment will not let you down it’s extremely modern and has everything from a tea straner to a potato peeler a coffe percolator to a hair dryer even shower gell It’s a warm clean apartment with all appliances and it’s a place we would recommend and would love to pay a return visit

Felt a bit duped when we arrived as we felt the pictures slightly misrepresented the location of the property. It was however well placed in the heart of the town, very easy to access and clean. The nearby car park although felt a bit run down was really close to the property (especially if you chose the correct exit!) the apartment was clean and tidy. The toilet was very small, basically in a cupboard and the bath and shower sunken in the bedroom, with a sink opposite the bed. Then bathroom areas were a little bit old and tired. The kitchen was fantastically appointed and very clean, as was the lounge and dining area. I’d definitely stay here again but just be aware there are no views from the room. There was a lovely but small courtyard garden sandwiched between other properties that was very private.

Charming, comfortable apartment with a lovely patio.

We loved this lovely , quiet apartment. The decor mixed modern, functional furniture and accented the ancient stones and beams from the original building. The apartment is exactly like the pictures, and we loved the little patio, fluffy towels, many dishes, glasses, salt, pepper, soaps and more. The kitchen was well-conceived and even had a dishwasher! Anne-Valerie met us, and is truly a delightful and helpful person. Though the apartment is in a walking area, we parked in the St Claire parking lot which our GPS found easily. Then we exited the garage, walked to the little square behind the parking garage, and through the arches to St Claire Place. From there, we easily found Anne-Valerie and the Milton Pub over which the apartment is located. After meeting Anne-Valerie and unloading our suitcases, we returned our car rental to Avis at the Annecy train station. Our cab to Geneva airport was 116 E, took about 45 minutes (leaving at 10 AM)---and we met our driver in the little area behind the St. Claire parking garage --look on the wall of the area--it has a name--like a name of a plaza. The price, size, functionality, decor and location of this apartment was perfect! We loved Annecy.

Great central location in the old town. Very well appointed accommodation… they’ve thought of everything. Property is clean and if you wanted to eat in there is a fabulous kitchen with everything you would need including a dishwasher and washing machine 👍 Comfortable bed and a tiny toilet! The terrace is a real plus, a sun trap in the morning and somewhere cool to sit in the evening complete with bats. There is no lift or air conditioning - fans are provided but during our stay it was very hot.

Wonderful In Every Way

This flat was wonderful in every way! The interior was immaculate and beautifully decorated, comfortable bed and very quiet. We especially enjoyed afternoon tea on the delightfully private patio. The convenience to everything in old town Annecy was a huge plus. Highly recommend!

Annecy experience

Our trip to Annecy was amazing. It was made special by our stay at the apartment. It is an adorable, well appointed, comfortable place in an incredible location. We had everything we needed and more. It was right in the middle of Old Town, with restaurants and shops galore. We rode bikes around the lake and paraglided over the mountains and lake. This area has some of the most stunning views I have ever seen. Our hosts were responsive and welcoming and left everything we could need.

Beautiful apartment in perfect location.

This apartment is perfect for a couple. The kitchen is well appointed with washer, seating at the bar or at a small dining table. Outdoor deck with table is great for drinks, tea etc.Tub/shower with separate wc. Walk up 2nd floor . Excellent location for exploring Annecy.

Peaceful stay in the old city

This was our second stay in the apartment. We like the quiet even though the street outside is full of bars and restaurants, and the market is there every few days. The hosts are super-responsive and the place is charming. We’ll be back for a third time!
