About this property

Mountain home near Winter Park offers a cabin-in-the-woods feel, peekaboo mountain views and room to breathe for a fantastic vacation or long weekend getaway! Our home comfortably accommodates an extended family, up to 3 couples + kids, or a group of friends (up to 9 adults max) looking for a base camp to gather an relax between outdoor activities. Enjoy two living areas with fireplaces, 3 private bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a bunk loft w/ TV for the kids!

Townhome style condo is an end unit and faces open space with great light, views and privacy. Small sledding hill for kids is available out back and visible from dining area. Free WiFi (175 Mpbs) and kitchen/cooking essentials are provided.

Pet friendly subject to prior approval by owner, acceptance of Pet Policy by guest, and additional fees. Note: Pets may *not* be left in home alone unless in a crate supplied by guest.

Please enter correct total occupancy for adults and children at time of booking in order to show the correct rates for stay. Include all people who will spend one or more nights at the property during your stay. Nightly rates are a function of occupancy. Any increase in occupancy after reservation must be approved by Owner and may be subject to additional fees as applicable.

--- LIVING AREAS ---

Several gathering spaces provide room to spread out. The main living area is open to kitchen & dining and has a fireplace, stereo, balcony and grill. The lower living area is geared for entertainment with an oversized TV, surround sound, board games, and fireplace. The upper level bunk loft has a futon and 55” TV for the kids to watch their own movies or connect a game console.

--- SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS ---

Sleeping arrangements accommodate up to 9 adults comfortably and up to 1guests total (subject to occupancy limit of listing) , as follows:

• Bedroom #1 accommodates 2 adults with one king bed, a Juliet balcony with double french doors overlooking the main living space and a private bathroom.

• Bedroom #2 is over-sized with a queen bed plus a large bunk bed offering an full bed on bottom and a twin bed on top, all long enough to accommodate adults. This room accommodates up to 4 adults. Bedroom 2 has its own bathroom but may need to share with occupants of bunk loft.

• Bedroom #3 is in the lower level, has a queen sized bed and has its own bathroom.

• The top floor bunk loft (no door) is great for up to 5 kids and has a total of 5 twin beds, consisting of 2 bunk beds (4 kids beds, for kids only, <150 lbs max each) and a single platform twin bed (adult). People sleeping in the bunk loft would need to share a bathroom with one of the bedrooms on level 2. There is also a half bath on the main living level.

--- THINGS TO DO ---

Winter Park and the Fraser valley is a year-round family friendly destination. Winter activities include downhill skiing, cross country skiing, tubing, ice skating, fat bike riding, and snowmobile tours. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and rodeos. Casual dining options are numerous.

VAN SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM AIRPORT:

The best shuttle service to Winter Park from Denver International Airport is Home James. Please check their website at: https://www.ridehj.com. You can also call them at (970) 726-5060.

TRAIN SERVICE FROM DENVER AND DIA:

Amtrak’s California Zephyr train provides service most days from Denver’s Union Station to Fraser, departing around 8am and arriving at 10am. Service back to Denver generally leaves around 4pm and arrives around 6:30pm. When searching Amtrak, use “Fraser-Winter Park, Colorado “ as the destination. Check Amtrak Zephyr train schedules at: https://www.amtrak.com/california-zephyr-train

There is an easy RTD light rail connection from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Amtrak at Denver’s Union Station. Ride time on the A Line is 37 minutes and trains depart every 15-30 minutes, depending on time of day. Check RTD schedules for A Line at: https://www.rtd-denver.com/app/route/A/schedule

Awesome home in Frazier

What a wonderful home to share. Plenty of sleeping options throughout the home on 3 of the 4 levels! Kitchen was nicely organized with many helpful appliances. Beautiful view, quiet neighborhood, close to grocery store. Only 10-15 minutes to park at Winter Park skiing. We’d use again!!!

Holiday Gathering

The property was everything listed & more! Loved the set up and very spacious for our family! Comfy beds & seating in the downstairs family room! The hot tub was a plus after the kids boarded! We even had a fun baby moose as a visitor at the front door!

Absolutely wonderful cabin in the hills.

Was another great stay in Fraser! It was a spacious and beautiful home, everything we needed was there and so close to shopping for everything thing else we needed. Great place and we will keep it on our favorites list for future visits.

Spacious and comfortable retreat

This home was perfect for our party of 8, including 4 adults and 4 teens/preteens. The location was convenient to town for groceries, very near the tubing park, and a short drive to Winter Park Ski Resort. The home included an abundance of comfortable beds, private baths, and everything we needed to cook several meals. There were also games and excellent entertainment options for relaxing after skiing, not to mention the beautiful Mountain views. The area was peaceful and great for walking our dogs, hiking, and playing in the snow with kids.

Big, comfortable, beautiful quiet setting

This is a great condo and you could stay here comfortably with a large party. The kitchen is very well stocked and the furniture is super comfortable. There is room for kids to be kid. We’d love to come back!

Chris & Andrea live in Denver with their two kids and two dogs. Chris is an avid skier and enjoys mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Andrea enjoys hiking and snowshoeing with the dogs as well as kayaking on Grand Lake and Lake Granby.

Why they chose this property

We decided to purchase Summit Trail Lodge when we sat down in the living room and took in the view. We love the combination of super convenient location while also getting that feeling of really being in the mountains and woods.

What makes this property unique

Although a town-home style condo, this spacious 4-level property lives like a single family home and has an unexpected sense of privacy. It's up on a ridge away from all of the tract homes in the valley, juts out into dedicated wooded open space, and truly feels like a mountain home. We appreciate having two living areas and a bunk loft so that adults and kids can do their own thing.
