About this property

HighTide Villa | Private Beachfront Estate, Personal Chef, Butler & Chauffeur

Welcome to HighTide Villa, a rare, fully-staffed beachfront estate on Eleuthera's legendary pink sand, where 200 feet of private shoreline, calm turquoise water, and an attentive personal team are yours alone.
Sea turtles glide past your beach. Not another soul in sight.
200ft pink sand, sleeps 22, included vehicle, housekeeper on-site, Butler & Chef

At HighTide, the staff are the soul of it.

Miss Diane has been caring for this home for years. She lives on the property, knows every corner of it, and will make sure it feels
like yours from the moment you arrive.
Housekeeping runs Monday to Saturday, 10am–3pm, and she's available around the clock if you ever need anything.

Papa has tended these grounds for decades. His family and ours are woven together in the story of this place. When you see him, say hello, ask him for a coconut and he'll bring it freshly cut, right to where you're sitting. Just drop in a straw.

For guests who want every detail handled, our butler is available as an add-on, present daily, managing arrangements, reservations,
and anything the day requires. A personal chef is also available on request, cooking at the villa so you never have to leave the
beach. Available on request, reach out before booking to arrange.

Your journey begins before you even land, airport pickup is arranged in advance and you'll be driven directly to the estate in our provided vehicle. Chauffeur service remains available on demand throughout your stay.

For the duration of your time here, this team is entirely yours.

Most people will never set foot on Winding Bay.

Not because it's difficult to reach, but because so few people even know it exists. Just 12 homes share its entire shoreline, and HighTide Villa is one of them. That means when you stay here, you are among a handful of people in the world who get to call this beach their own, even if just for a week.

No crowds. No strangers. No noise. Just 200 feet of pink sand, calm turquoise water, and a sky so dark at night you'll see stars you've never seen before. The area is so safe there's no need to lock the house or car. That's the kind of place this is.

Five minutes away, the charming village of Tarpum Bay offers friendly locals, a dock selling the fresh daily catch, takeaway restaurants, small grocery stores, and a gas station, everything you need, nothing you don't.

Twenty minutes south, Rock Sound is the island's most complete town, best grocery store, bank with ATM, sit-down and takeaway
restaurants, liquor stores, gift and artisan shops, and Rock Sound Airport (RSD).

Twenty-five minutes north, Governor's Harbour is Eleuthera's social hub, casual to fine dining, the island's best wine
selection, and GHB Airport just 45 minutes from the villa. On the way, don't miss Island Farm for fresh local produce .
fresh bread on Tuesdays and Fridays.

HighTide sits in the central-south of the island, making it the perfect base for everything Eleuthera has to offer. Queen's Highway runs straight through. north to south, the whole island is yours to explore.

From the moment you arrive, HighTide is entirely yours.
The full home, the beachside cabana, the elevated deck, the hot tub, and every inch of that 200-foot pink sand shoreline, exclusively for you and your group. No shared spaces, no other guests, no one else on your beach. Just yours.

The garage and Miss Diane's private cottage are the only spaces reserved, everything else is yours.

Step outside and you have 200 feet of pink sand to yourself!

Most mornings it's just your group and the ocean. Grab a kayak and paddle out. Set up the volleyball net. Race your friends to the
water slides. Float. Do nothing. The day finds its own rhythm here.

When the sun gets serious, the beachside cabana is waiting, shaded, comfortable, right at the water's edge. Later, when the sky turns
pink and the air cools, the hot tub. Always the hot tub.

The island breathes too. Some afternoons the clouds roll in, the rain comes down warm and heavy, and the whole place goes quiet in
the best way. That's when people end up around the dining table with a board game and something cold to drink and somehow those
end up being the evenings nobody forgets.

On the water and outdoors:
6 kayaks · Inflatable water slides · Inflatable floats ·
Swing set · Beach volleyball · Badminton · Spike ball

INSIDE
The Great Room is where the group lands. Floor-to-ceiling windows so the oceanview never really leaves. Long dining table, big sectional,
65" TV, a games corner. Enough space that eighteen people don't feel crowded. Somehow still feels like someone's home.

Smart TVs in every bedroom · High-speed WiFi to the shoreline ·
Laundry room · Dedicated office space · Safe for valuables

THE PRIMARY SUITE
King canopy bed. A soaking tub with nothing in front of it but ocean. Private dressing area, walk-in shower, daybed lounge, and
a door that opens straight to the sand. There's an outdoor shower just outside, most people end up using it more than the one inside.
You fall asleep to the waves. You wake up to them too.

THE OTHER BEDROOMS
Every bedroom has ocean views and its own en-suite. No one draws the short straw at HighTide.

Bedroom 2 has two full beds that push together into a king, its own beach door, and an outdoor shower.

Bedroom 3 is a king suite off the wrap-around patio, quieter, more private, feels like its own little corner of the property.

Bedroom 4, The Bunk Room has six full-sized mattresses across custom built-in bunks, a proper stairway instead of a ladder, and its own bathroom.
The kids claim it immediately and spend the rest of the trip in there or on the beach.

There's a fifth bathroom just off the Great Room with a door to the beach — practical in the best possible way.

ARRIVAL
No keypads. No codes. No check-in desk. The house is open and ready when you get there. Just arrive.

The garage and Miss Diane's private cottage are the only spaces reserved, everything else is yours.

The house includes a rental vehicle with seating for up to 8 passengers. Additional rental cars can be arranged upon request. A car is essential for exploring the island, as there is no public transportation or rideshare service available.

Welcome to HighTide Villa
HighTide is a fully-staffed, private beachfront estate on 200 feet of pink sand in Winding Bay, one of Eleuthera's most secluded stretches of coastline. Wake to sweeping Atlantic views, swim where sea turtles glide, and surrender to a dedicated team whose only job is to make your stay exceptional. This is privacy, nature, and genuine luxury, all in one place.

OUR TEAM
A housekeeper lives on the property and is available 24/7 for emergencies. Daily housekeeping is included Monday to Saturday. Personal chef and butler services are available as paid add-ons, please inquire before booking to confirm availability and pricing.

Our team are deeply valued, we ask all guests to treat them with kindness and respect.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

IS HIGHTIDE RIGHT FOR YOU?
HighTide is not a resort. It's something far rarer. The roads to the villa are unpaved, the beach is wild, and the coastline is alive, tides shift, birds visit, seaweed drifts in, and the occasional piece of ocean debris washes ashore as a reminder of the world beyond this bay. We clear it regularly and love when guests join us.
There is no public transport, no rideshare, no crowds. Just 200 feet of pink sand, turquoise water, and a sky full of stars at night.
If you're chasing something real, untouched, and completely your own this is exactly what you're looking for.

We can't wait to welcome you to Winding Bay.

This was absolutely, bar none, the best vacation rental experience our family has ever had! A truly amazing location, a beautiful, well maintained home, all the extras a family could need, and daily cleaning, support, and help all around the island. Wonderful responsive hosts with support close by and a very quiet and exclusive location. The… best… vacation.,. experience.., hands down!

We’ve stayed several times in Winding Bay as we believe it’s one of the best locations on the island. Everything is right in front of you or behind you (Half Sound).High Tide is a great house. Couldn’t believe it could be improved but recent renovations are incredible. Solar electricity so you don’t have to worry about power going out is really amazing. More room for sleeping. Amazing kitchen and gathering room. Owners are so knowledgeable about island, you won’t go wrong. We’ve been visiting Eleuthera for over 20 years. You’ll find no better house and location imo on the entire island.

Heaven at High Tide

The property sits on a beautiful cove which we shared with no one! That is, other than two puppies that would come out and play with us daily. The beach was absolutely spectacular. So clear, we could see our own feet in the water. The accommodations were excellent. The house had ample room for us to be able to enjoy the view, or quiet time alone. The kitchen was very well equipped - as we cooked most of the days we stayed that week. We loved staying at High Tide and recommend this property to anyone that is looking to get away and slip into paradise.

Exceeded All Expectations

We could not have been more pleased with our stay on Winding Bay. The home is not a standard rental - it is a beautiful and welcoming family home. We were warmly greeted by the home's caretaker and housekeeper. Enjoyed two meals cooked by a local woman recommended by the owners. Visiting with her and her husband was like catching up with old friends, and the food was delicious. The views from the home are absolutely breathtaking, and the beach is spectacular. Had so much fun paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. We had a great time exploring other beaches, too, some in walking distance, others a short drive away. Many times we were the only people in sight. Just the quiet, peaceful respite we all needed. Incredibly special place and people. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Love this place

This place is amazing! From the driveway you get a sense the house will be awesome, and it does not disappoint. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a view that can't be beat due to the floor to ceiling windows in the dinning room. The home is very spacious for everyone to have some privacy but at the same time it has a large open space for all to hang out together. There are so many games & puzzles to keep the family entertained without the phones. The house is stocked very well with linens, towels, toiletries, and dishes. The beach is perfect & pretty much secluded. The only downfall we found with this house (which is the entire area not just the house) is the electricity goes out frequently. It usually is for a short period of time but can be really annoying. We could only find one flashlight & a candle. Just bring or get flashlights just in case. The home is very clean & they definitely take care of it. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed at!

Wonderful vacation home

We had a difficult time with the directions to the house upon our arrival but once we figured it out there wasn’t anymore problems. The house was roomy and comfortable. It was stocked with everything we needed…cooking supplies, beach towels, etc. Great a/c. Beautiful beach area with calm water. FYI it’s a drive to the grocery store and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Secluded and peaceful

We had an excellent stay amidst this old school gem. I wouldn’t say this house or location is for everyone but we love this sort of place. Tucked far off the beaten path, this water front house stands all alone. We never saw another soul during our 5 night stay. We used their paddle boards and kayaks and were able to spear fish dinner right in our backyard! We caught several large Nassau groupers, strawberry groupers, and pulled up conch. Saw lobster too but it wasn’t the season. The mosquitoes were horrific, so take your bug spray but that is par for the island this time of year. The view from inside the house was incredible. If you are looking for a modern house and decor, it’s not that. But we didn’t mind. It was all clean and adequate. One odd thing was that the third bedroom could not be accessed from the main house even though it was attached, you had to access it from outside, might be a problem with kids. Also need to bring in all your own drinking water. Note there is no generator if you lose power. Also the internet never worked at all but our ATT cell service worked perfectly so we just used our hotspot. We never even tried the tv, so I cannot comment.

Wonderful quick trip

High Tide is absolutely perfectly placed on Winding Bay. Views can’t be beat and the grounds are immaculate. The house is very comfortable and tastefully done. With a few tweaks and updates it would be perfect. The 4th bath needs regrouping desperately. Housekeeping needs to replace many lightbulbs and batteries in AC thermostats. The coffee maker needs replacing. A couple of lamps are wonky and one needs a shade. The walkway to the 4th bedroom is eroding with unlevel tiles that are a fall hazard especially after rain. Finally I didn’t receive the details on my trip (checking in/out, things to do, who to contact for problems) until the morning of checkout. I was familiar with the area so there were no big issues but a first timer might not. That said, I want to stress the house was lovely and the island and Winding Bay cannot be beat if you want a laid back, low traffic beach and community.

10 Days is NOT enough at High Tide!

This was our second trip to Winding Bay. The first time we stayed in a house a few doors down. This house was much nicer. It has 3 large bedrooms. One is only accessible from the outside which provided even more privacy. The master suite's bed was super comfy too. Four bathrooms is super nice as are the outdoor showers that have hot water! AC is a must in Eleuthra, and it worked amazingly well. There are 3 or 4 large central units for each room. We noticed a lot of other rentals only have window units, that would be rough. The kitchen was renovated and had everything we needed. We could have used a cutting board or two. Next time we stay here, we'll donate some to the house. One down side was that the bathrooms were old with cracked grout/floors. It was hard to find the "hot water" dial on the showers. They also left used soap, which eeeked me out a little. But that is so minor compared to the awesomeness that is Winding Bay and the High Tide house. FYI - the internet does not stay on more than 5 minutes, and calling and resetting it doesn't help. It took us a while to unplug from the real world, but we managed with cards and books and our own version of karaoke. Just know that if you need excursion maps downloaded or to communicate with anyone back home, you'll need to use your wireless carrier and not rely on the wi-fi. (Same for TV too - no TV access with no wi-fi). Our families kayaked and snorkeled out front on the reef 9/10 days we were here. We all enjoyed Turtle Bay/Half Moon Bay daily too. We floated the canal and swam with turtles, jacks, snapper and even sharks! There are many harmless nurse sharks back in the bay (along with a few others that are not so harmless). The island of Eleuthra is just magical, from Cape Eleuthra to Rock Sound and all the way up to Spanish Wells. We did it ALL in our 10 days there (even the touristy Governor's Harbor is fun)! Elaine and Columbus are both great too. The Bahamanian people are just so friendly and there is a never ending list of amazing things to do. We are already planning our next trip back to this stunning house. It's amazing.

Absolutely amazing!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about High Tide. Our trip was wonderful and the location of the house is ideal. I have been coming to Eleuthera for 48 years but this was my first time staying at Winding Bay and we will definitely return to this special spot. The only thing that was not perfect was the wifi, which we needed to fill out the daily health survey but we enjoyed the disconnection.

Beautiful Home, wonderful hosts

We enjoyed this fabulous home . It has a great central room and kitchen, bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and an unbeatable beachfront location on calm protected Atlantic waters. And of course, the unique and amazing Columbus and Delphine. We were only there for only a few days when our stay was unexpectedly cut short due to issues at home. We were so sad to leave. Our gracious host helped us rearrange our travel plans and even issued us a refund for the unused days.

Absolute Paradise

I travelled to High Tide with my husband, two sons aged 2.5 and 7, brother-in-law and 11 year old nephew. We have previously stayed closer to GH so we’re a bit skeptical if staying further south but we absolutely loved this place! I would have been happy not even leaving the property!! There are also plenty of day trips to do from here and grocery stores nearby and restaurants. We enjoyed preparing our own meals - fresh lobster and conch! We had brought some frozen meat with us which worked out perfectly. We also had a Bahamian meal prepared for us by Elaine that was delicious! Had dinner and lunch at Wild Orchid and enjoyed very much. The lay-out of this property is just amazing. Privacy from neighbours. Privacy from other family members! But also an amazing central living area for all to congregate at the end of a day of beaching. 10 steps down to a gorgeous beach. Very kid friendly+++ Put the kayaks to good use! Manager Columbus provided us with a mini van for the week which was perfect for getting around. Delphine was very easy to get ahold of and always helpful. Cleaning mid week was a lovely treat! The noseeums were a nuisance at dusk and dawn but it was also very calm our whole week here. There were also a few critters in the kitchen but I imagine that comes with the territory. Would love to have had a water cooler so as to use larger (and recyclable) jugs of water. A larger BBQ and bunk beds in the kids room would also be awesome! Having said that, I can’t wait to come back again. This place was an absolute dream. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us.

Paradise Found!! The thin space!!

I don’t think I can explain how amazing the location of this listing is in this brief summary, but I will try. First and foremost, the pics included with this listing do not do it justice at all!!! This beautiful home is extremely easy to get to, yet its tucked away in the south side of the bay just enough to where one could easily forget there is a grocery store with everything you could possibly need just down the road. We were fortunate enough to be able to explore the entire island multiple times while we were there and experience the full on beauty it has to offer. One thing I was personally concerned about when reading past reviews regarding this listing were the no-seeum’s. However, if you plan accordingly and know what to expect you will not notice them at all and those reviews were not accurate. If your looking for a true cultural experience of the out islands in the Bahamas, this location is what you have been looking for!! I could on and on about how absolutely amazing everything was from the day trips to Light House Point, Queen’s bath, Hatchet bay cave, Glass window bridge and all the way up to Spanish Wells and how we were treated by the property management and care takers because they went above and beyond what was required of them. Given all off this, I am going to leave out some of the best details of our trip and stay at Hightide because I would hate to spoil the many adventures that await you upon your arrival to Hightide & the beautiful Island of Eleuthera. However one secret I will share, just north of Glass Window bridge you will fine Glass Window Bar & Grill. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying everything they have to offer!!! The thin space!!! If you know what this means then you know

Relaxing at High Tide

Thank you, High Tide, for accommodating our family of 6. The house is in a very peaceful location. Winding Bay was the perfect body of water to wake up to in the morn, and rest at in the evening. The house was plenty spacious, providing ample privacy for all bedrooms. The outdoor showers were the only ones we used. Though the neighboring houses are close, you would never know it due to the lush vegetation. There was nothing that we needed that the house didn't have. There are many beautiful beaches nearby, including Paw Paw Beach and Lighthouse Beach a little further south. But if you don't want to drive around, High Tide offers a variety of surf a few steps away. The Bay itself is calm with an occasional turtle or ray sighting. We only saw other people a couple of times. Walking a few minutes south along the Atlantic Coast are gorgeous beaches. Also, one of our favorite journeys, which we took often, was floating down the cut to Half Sound just before low tide, hanging out on a sandbar, and floating(on our backs) back home. Half sound always had turtles a plenty. There is a small grocery store about three miles away for essentials. Better to journey down to Rock Sound if you want fruits and vegetables. Two things to watch out for while in Eleuthera. The No See Ums are pretty brutal in the morning and evening, but they never bothered us when we were near the water. The other- garbage, and I see this as all of our problem, not just Eleuthera's. Many of the beaches are strewn with garbage from storms, cruise ships, tourists, etc. The beauty still abounds, but just trying to paint the whole picture. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful island with it's incredible sand and crystal clear waters!!!

Loved our time!!

Our family had never stayed longer than a week anywhere and we would deter how it would go. This home, location, locals, Columbus the property manager and everything about it was amazing! My husband, myself and our 4 kids had so much fun snorkelling right off of the private beach, eating fresh coconuts, fresh mangos and the fresh fish and seafood catch that my sons would bring in from the water daily. We had a lovely conch dinner made for us from conch we caught and we explored turtle beach, local restaurants and even drove to jump into the blue hole! We will be back it was our favourite vacation ever!

Lovely, spacious home on secluded bay

Exactly as described. Well maintained, fully equipped and spacious home on a bay that only has 11 houses. In addition to the sandy beach which is a 1 minute walk down a path, there is a back channel and lagoon nearby that is quite calm and an interesting adventure. A car is essential as the location is secluded and not walking distance from provisions. The bay was calm most days -- good for kids -- but when the wind shifted to the north we had quite a few waves. One of our party was susceptible to bug bites and got quite an angry army of them on her arms and legs. One of our party got no bites...so come prepared if you are tasty to the little "no see ums."

A wonderful, relaxing vacation

High Tide Villa had more than enough amenities for our party of 5. We swam in the bay, used the kayaks and paddle boards, did some snorkeling and thoroughly enjoyed the cabana. Columbus was most helpful in getting us into the right airport (Rock Sound), transporting us to the house and renting us a car. Lily was an excellent housekeeper, good conversationalist and a pretty good singer as well. One of our party is an entertainer and Lily joined him in song on a couple of occasions. We ate delicious fresh snapper and lobster bought from the pier at Tarpum Bay which we prepared in the kitchen at High Tide Villa. We drove to a rather remote beach south of Northview Inn & Resort and were rewarded with a private swim and walk along the beach. To say that the road to the beach is rustic is an overstatement of its condition but it was a true adventure. We also ate at restaurants in Rock Sound including Sammy's, The Frigate and Rose's Northview Inn . All were very good with Rose taking top billing as both cook and singer. We drove to Governors Harbor for a day - the town and adjoining Cupid's Cay are well worth the trip. Club Med Beach is beautiful for both swimming and walking; ate lunch at The Buccaneer, excellent food. Initially we were mildly disappointed that we could not walk to any of the places mentioned but getting out and about in the car proved lots of fun and gave us some great sightseeing we would have otherwise missed. All told this was among our best vacations ever; when we return to Eleuthera we will stay again at High Tide Villa.

Welcome to our family home! My grandparents built this as a vacation getaway for themselves back in the 1990's. Many members of their family (myself included), friends, and acquaintances have been fortunate to visit this beautiful property, on picturesque Winding Bay, on the charming island of Eleuthera.

Why they chose this property

This is a unique, authentic, serene setting for those who are looking for an alternative to the typical tourist resort destinations. We are happy to open our family home to you so that you may enjoy this private paradise filled with Wild Magic!
