Big Vista is a spacious 900 sq. ft. Open Living Luxury suite. Big Vista has one of the best views on Vancouver Island. Guests will enjoy 220 degrees of uninterrupted views of more than 100 km of coastline across the Salish Sea. Big Vista offers guests a private, luxurious suite with classic styling and traditional ambiance.

Big Vista has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with high end appliances, granite countertops, and a gas stovetop. The views from the Great Room are spectacular. The suite has 1 bathroom with a walk in shower and full laundry. It offers 2 patios: one for the spectacular sunrise views and the other for the amazing sunsets. The Big Vista suite offers a library, games, a piano, a gas fireplace, and two TVs. The flooring in the suite is a beautiful cherry hardwood.

Big Vista offers a queen bed with freshly pressed quality linens and duvets for a luxurious sleeping experience. Fleecy robes are provided for the comfort of the guests.

Big Vista has a private entrance down 1 flight of outside stairs. Guests are encouraged to explore the large terraced garden and to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Big Vista is located in a quiet neighbourhood and offers a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Beaches and trails are nearby, sea lions and whales are often seen swimming past, and the eagles are frequently found in the trees. Guests enjoy relaxing and enjoying the cruise ship views of the ocean. Big Vista offers a comfortable, luxurious vacation experience for visitors to Vancouver Island and Nanaimo.

We do not welcome pets at Big Vista.

Couple Escape

Awesome place, such a cool area. We visited Tofino, great ride. The views at the house are spectacular. We watched two Bald eagles eating dinner right in front of us! Super comfortable stay, we will be back.

Big Vista doesn’t disappoint!

This is a beautiful property. It’s very well appointed and very clean. The view from our room was wonderful. Always lots to see from Bald Eagles, and Sea Lions to Fishing boats. Debby and John were gracious hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back again!

What a view

Clean an comfy with panaoramic views. Steep stairs down to suite with rail only on one side. Close to malls and restaurants and two nice natural parks.

Stunning views

Deborah and John were great hosts, there was a bit of a misunderstanding or miscommunication in the beginning, but it all got ironed out. The home was clean, very well stocked, and that view was amazing! I have recommended it to friends and family snd would not hesitate to book again!

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful time staying at the Big Vista. Debby and John were excellent hosts. They took great care of their home, as well as their guests. Everything is as beautiful as it seemed online. Bonus point for the neighborhood as well, beautiful and quiet area, we really enjoyed walking around there. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Nanaimo.

Breathtaking Views!!!

Fabulous studio style condo with everything and more that you might need during your stay. Not enough can be said about the fantastic view from inside or on the decks! Absolutely beautiful view, very clean, and the hosts hospitable!

We were graciously welcomed; the home was very clean and had all the essentials, and then some; the view is spectacular from the two decks, and the very large picture windows! We brought food in, and barbequed one evening, because there is no better view in the area! We enjoyed talking with the hosts, who avoided being intrusive, but were a kind, interesting, and informative couple. We will look for opportunities to stay here again!

Lovely time in Nanaimo

This property is everything it is advertised. The room is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and then there is the view. We were there 10 days of which we spent two entire days looking out at the Strait of Georgia and relaxed. Our hosts told us that was not unusual. Our hosts Debby and John were super friendly and gave us lots useful information such as when whales were out as well as local trails and parks that were good for limited mobility walkers. We would definately come back here and may do so next year.

Beautiful Home and Neighbourhood

The property was exactly as listed and exceeded expectations .When you see the view , it’s spectacular, un-obstructed where wildlife abounds! The owners are amazing hosts and wonderful people. The kitchen was very well appointed and clean as was the tasteful living area , bed and bathroom. The neighbourhood was quiet , peaceful and felt safe. It’s situated nearby to “ Neck Point Park “ highly rated for things to do in Nanaimo. The deck is private , relaxing to the lapping sound of waves.Will be back in the future.

Just perfect in every way

We travelled with my elderly parents and sister to attend a family gathering. The unit was just perfect for us. There is lots of space and beautiful views from every window, so we never felt on top of each other. The large, gourmet kitchen has everything you need to feel right at home and make home cooked meals. Debby and John are excellent hosts who love their property and want their guests to love it too. When my mom and I were exploring their gorgeous garden, Debby came by with a container and an invitation to pick raspberries, which we enjoyed over breakfast the next day. The suite is newly renovated and super clean with crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. You can't go wrong choosing this property.

The property is amazing with spectacular views and gracious hosts. My family and I were lucky enough to see whales, eagles, dear and bunnies from the comfort of the living room window. Debby and John are both amazing hosts happy to assist with information about the area and any other inquiries we had. The location is close to everything you’d need and yet very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away for a great trip to Nanaimo.

Immaculate Studio with Spectacular Views

This is the perfect studio with an amazing 180 degree view of the Strait of Georgia and mainland British Columbia. The interior is very nicely designed. The views are just unbelievable. We found ourselves content a couple days to just sit in front of the picture windows and watch the whales and eagles. Debby and John were great hosts. We would not hesitate at all to stay here again.

Beautiful mountain getaway

I had a fantastic time staying here! The views were breathtaking/stunning with access to multiple viewpoints inside/outside and so much wildlife to see (ex whales, sea lions, eagles). It was very close to easily accessible walking trails. The unit was very well equipped and had everything you would need to feel at home and very clean. The host was very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable to share about the surrounding area/wildlife. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful stay!
