About this property

180 Degree Lake View, 20 Acres of Private Property, Lake Front, Easy Lake Access

A great place to get away from the hustle of life where you can enjoy solitude, the lake & nature in a private and peaceful environment. It is glorious!

You will not be in a neighborhood... You will have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful 20 acres on private property with mowed nature trails, an old barn that is over 100 years old, a farmhouse with such charm, and it all sits on the shoreline of Beaver Lake.

This private property is at the end of a lane with a gated entrance, and is right on the water's edge with a 180 degree view of the lake.

Nearest grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, urgent care, & bank are 15 minutes away.

The Farm House On Beaver Lake is over 100 years old and was updated in 2014. We added modern amenities, while keeping the charm of farm house living; including orginial repurposed wood and shiplap. It has a large screened-in porch across the front of the house with a stunning view of the lake and The Barn. The living room has a 48" flat screen with OzarkGo cable & wifi, and a DVR. The dining room table comfortably seats 8; and there are additional tables, chairs, and TV trays. The kitchen has a 6 burner gas commercial range & stainless appliances; it is fully stocked with pots & pans, glasses, dishes, etc. The laundry room has full size washer & dryer with counter space for storage, and it leads to the backyard. There are five (5) bedrooms each with their own personality; one is downstairs and four are upstairs. Each bedroom has a queen bed; one also includes a crib and another also includes a twin bunk. There are two (2) bathrooms; one on each floor.

Outdoors includes an outdoor shower with hot & cold water, picnic table, gas grill, fire pit w/ 10 Adirondack chairs and string lights, tire swings, swing, and two 2-person kayaks with 4 adult life jackets. Bring your own children’s life jackets; life jackets are required when using the kayaks.

We also have LOTS of wildlife. All the posted animal photos were taken on the property by me or my husband. So bring your camera!

The shoreline is a easy stroll where you can safely swim with no steep drop-offs. We do not have a boat dock, but Hickory Creek Marina is only 5.6 miles - where you can launch your boat. We are on the south end of the lake across from point 12 where the White River and War Eagle River merge. This area of the lake is MUCH quieter than the area north of us.

And the location is GREAT. You are within 30 minutes from some of the most famous attractions in NWA.

And while most guests want to hang out on the property...

We stayed at the Farmhouse for a family reunion. Absolutely ideal. It’s the most unique rental property I’ve ever stayed at. The house sits on 20 acres of lake shore privacy. Excellent for yard games, swimming, kayaking, and relaxing by the well appointed firepit. The house easily accommodates 10 people. We saw wildlife every night including herds of deer. I cannot recommend this property high enough for a large group gathering. We rented a pontoon boat from Prairie Creek marina, and that was a wonderful experience as well. It was so fun cruising around Beaver Lake for the day. Finally, the owner was so easy to work with. She surprised us with a homemade cake upon our arrival. Very nice touch.

Great stay with friends

We had a blast at this property! It was unique , charming and comfortable for a larger group. We spent time out in the water, around the fire, playing hide and seek on the grounds and cooking some great dinners. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Best place for a guys weekend!!!

This place blew our expectations out of the water. It was very secluded, but only a 15–20 min drive to get whatever you needed. Everything was so clean and there was enough room for our group of 10. Would highly recommend!

Perfect Lake House

This is our second time to stay in this wonderful house. We like it so much, We’ve already booked for next year. The hosts are wonderful, and we feel like we are family, they treat us so well. The house is very well stocked with everything a family would need. The entry into the lake is very shallow, perfect for the children. Relaxing on the front porch in the rocking chairs, morning and evening is very tranquil, the perfect vacation.

Peaceful retreat by the lake

The house is an absolutely beautiful old farmhouse on a lake front property. We had 12 family members coming in for a graduation, and it suited our needs perfectly. There were lots of comfortable beds. There was plenty of room for family meals. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to take a bunch of kids. They forget about their video games and run to the kayak. The shoreline had a very easy path into the water and wasn't too muddy.

So praceful

We really enjoyed our stay, we were greeted with a homemade cake and felt so at home. The kids loved having the space to run and play and wish they could move in. Seeing the deer by the lake in the evenings was a favorite. The host was prompt about answering our questions and resolving the issues. We’ll definitely be back!

Such a wonderful stay!

We loved our time at the Farmhouse! The weather was gorgeous and we loved all the amenities. We played corn hole, did a fire pit, played in the lake, fished, sat in the rocking chairs on the sunporch, cooked our meals on the awesome stove and even enjoyed the WiFi and cable tv one night. Beds were comfy and room for everyone. The home is old but has every modern convenience. And is sooo clean! We couldn’t get over how clean it was and how we had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. We walked the trails on the property and saw deer each time!

absolute perfection

Perfect get away for my family! You need to be okay with quiet-no road noise, no sirens which is what my husband and I grew up with and therefore regenerates us. Two of our "adult" kids (19 and 20) enjoyed the morning walks and sneaking up on the armadillo each day. We took a raft and tied off to an old tree and just floated. The kayaks provided an additional workout to off set the home cooking we did on that awesome stove. Everyone mentions the apple cake. I will definitely try to replicate it this fall. One of our kids is moving to the area so, Lucinda, don't be surprised if we are back--only with more extended family.

Fantastic Farmhouse

From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the place, the property, and the people. Hospitality at its finest. We were welcomed with a homemade apple cake that was out of this world. The farmhouse and property were absolutely exceptional. We adored the place. We loved sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the mornings, and sitting around the amazing firepit in the evening. We made smores, we played cornhole, we grilled and ate out too. We watched the deer and the summer lightning bugs .We swam, kayaked and fished as well. They have thought of everything to make this a wonderful experience. The vision they had in restoring this place and the hard work is a gift for the guests to truly enjoy. We feel so lucky to have spent time here and look forward to returning again.

Family Vacation

The pictures do not do this place justice! The house was very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were good sized and the decor was perfect. The outside space and water frontage was amazing (with a long gentle slope perfect for learning to ride a bike). There was plenty of green grass to run around on and the kids loved the tree swing, tire swing and little walking trails. At dusk, the fireflies and fire pit were a big hit. We swam and floated in the lake and would recommend water shoes and floats as the water and shoreline has a lot of trees and branches in it. We brought an easy up which provided great shade near the water. It was also a great area to kayak. The owners live next door and were very helpful. Everything worked as expected and we had a great time!

Loved this Farmhouse!!

This is a great place to stay! First of all, it is just an adorable house. All the bedrooms are different in the way it was restored with the wood available. The doors are antique, and just adds so much character. Just a great house! There was not a thing we were lacking as we did cook there. The kitchen is well stocked, and the grill is large. There is a screened front porch with rockers, and a great lighted outside area with a fire pit and a large grill. We were able to use the kayaks, but it wasn't warm enough to swim in the cove, but that area looks great for floating and swimming when it is warm. There are trails to walk that are mowed, and an old barn that is just lovely to look at! We actually had a proposal by that old barn and we have so many memorable photos of that with the barn in the background. You are a bit out of things to do, but an easy drive to get around. We went to Fayetteville, Crystal Bridges and Eureka Springs very easily. All in all, we would definently go back and recommend this farmhouse!

Wish I was Still there!

First, you should know I rated everything a 5 because no HIGHER rating is possible. The host is fabulous. She baked us a fresh apple bundt cake for heaven's sake and had it waiting for us in the kitchen. Who DOES that?! The house is everything you see in the post and more. The whole place was ... well, you just imagine ... a long walk along the lakeshore, a deer walking with you not 10 yards away, a light breeze as you sip your morning coffee in a rocking chair on the screened-in porch, later cooking a full meal in a well-stocked kitchen and enjoy it together around the large dining table. We didn't have time to use the extra large firepit or hike the many trails on the property (but the bug spray was right by the back door if we needed it). Our group of four went for a work retreat and it was the perfect balance of room to work and time to chill. We CANNOT WAIT to go back. Seriously, rent this place and thank me later. It's exactly the kind of place and the caliber of hosts VRBO and similar platforms were created for.

Wonderful Escape from the Hustle and Bustle of the City & Daily Life!

Staying at the Farmhouse was pure escape. From the drive up the tree-lined backroad, thru the gate, and on to the property we all felt a huge exhale of relief and peace. Actual quotes from the grandkids were "This really is JUST LIKE HEAVEN!" and "I can't stop RUNNING!!" The authenticity of the 100+-year-old farmhouse was quaint yet totally accommodating for our family of 4 generations ages 4-84. We were graced with a beautiful thunderstorm through one of our nights, and we just couldn't help ourselves but lay in our bed listening to the fall of the drops on the metal roof. It was delightful. The creaking of the wood floors, all the views through the windows, the big welcoming dining table... OH, and the delicious homemade apple cake that the host gifted us upon arrival! It was like we traveled back in time to my grandmother's house, yet here we were with the next generations! This was likely my mother's last real trip as her 84 years are beginning to make travel a challenge. I am so grateful for The Farmhouse and the memories it gave her and us together. The host, the house, the beautiful setting - I can't say enough about this precious place. Granddaughter was right... "It REALLY IS just like heaven!"

About the host

Hosted by Lucinda Waller

Host profile image
My name is Lucinda. My husband, DJ and I wanted to move to NWA to be near our kids/grandchildren. Our son and his family live in Bentonville, and our daughter and her family live in Fayetteville. We had no idea how much we would love the area ~ can not imagine living any where else. We live across the creek from The Farm House. So if you have any needs while being our guests we are close enough to accommodate, if possible; but far enough away that you will have your privacy.

Why they chose this property

When we saw this property it was love at first sight. It had been abandoned for over 20 years and needed a lot of love; nature had taken her back and trespassers had abused her. We cleaned and cleared. Almost everyone told us we should tear down The Farm House, but we just couldn’t. So we worked tirelessly and updated The Farm House with modern amenities while keeping the farm house charm. This is my happy place.

What makes this property unique

The property is close enough to town, but feels like you are far away from the hustle of life. It sits at the end of the lane with no other houses near by (we live across the creek from The Farm House). The views are unobstructed and the sunrises are amazing. The only thing we hear are the sounds of nature, an occasional airplane, and an occasional boat. There is wildlife in abundance; deer, coyotes, a bobcat, roadrunners, geese, eagles, etc. It is heavenly.
