The house is in a great location and everything was clean and in good operating condition. The small 5th bedroom was perfect for my 3 yr. old grandson! The large outdoor table accommodated all of us for meals. Highly recommended property!
Great location within walking distance to Main St. shops and restaurants and a short drive into Arches National Park. House was clean with nice bedding.
Kitchen had basics for cooking ware and tools but no grocery items of any kind, including salt and pepper so plan to bring everything you need to prepare a meal. We enjoyed the backyard table and grill surrounded by grape vines as well as the front porch rockers. We would definitely stay here again.
Formally a bed and breakfast, this quirky but roomy and comfortable house was the perfect place for our Moab get away. The outside storage for bikes was an extra bonus. The outside space was gracious and lovely and we arrived to find some basic amenities that made it easy to transition. Becky is super accessible and helpful. We had four adults and two kids and everyone had their own space and plenty of room for group gatherings. Would highly recommend!
My family, including my husband, parents, mother-in-law and two small children stayed at the Main House for our Thanksgiving holiday. Our stay started out ok. We mostly appreciated the central location and short walk to downtown. We felt a little duped by the photos though. The first issue we noticed was that the house had not been dusted or vacuumed in quite some time. When doing a last look under beds and couches before checking out there were multiple socks from previous guests, proving that things had not been cleaned. The worst part of our stay were the mice! We contacted the host as soon as we saw the first two mice and ask to have someone come out and take care of them. The host told us she was ill and couldn't get someone out right away and then told us we could purchase traps and she would reimburse us. We thought nothing of it and immediately purchased some. We laid out traps and then heard from the host that her housekeeper would be swinging by to drop traps off. Mind you, we had already told her we would go out and grab some. Upon arrival, the housekeeper let us know that this wasn't the first time there had been mice inside the house. The next morning, we caught a mouse and then caught another the following morning, which we had to dispose of obviously. In between these two mice we saw multiple running on the kitchen counters and through rooms. Needless to say we were all creeped out for the rest of our stay. I was weary about even having my kids play in the house.
I think the worst part about this whole experience is the host's lack of customer service. I requested a reimbursement for the cleaning fee and for the lack of cleanliness as well as a reimbursement for at least a night's stay to cover the "creep" factor. She said that she would waive the cleaning fee and that would cover the mice infestation, reimbursement for the traps, and the dirt and dust. After emailing back and forth she finally reimbursed us $40 for the traps and "our time" with dealing with the mice. She then proceeded to ask for photo proof of the dirt and the dead mice. I never thought about taking pictures of anything but I will never make that mistake again. I've also never experienced such dirty conditions, false advertising and bad customer service in any other rental.
On another note VRBO will not help with this issue at all and also require photo proof. Stay away from this rental or document everything if you must stay here.
This house was perfect for our group. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. Short walk to the Main Street and everything you need for kitchen/bath supplies. Very nice property and enough space for everyone.
The home is located very close to town and we had to walk only 2 blocks to enjoy the Christmas parade that was going on during our stay. Everything in the home was exactly as described and very comfortable. The only challenge was the 10 o’clock am check out time which made making breakfast, packing, and cleaning hectic when a few people didn’t get up until after 8:30.
The home was perfect for our large group and the property was really beautiful. We really enjoyed all the outdoor sitting areas and the fantastic large dining table under the grapevine covered pergola. The location two blocks off of Main Street was another huge plus. Everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend it to our friends and are looking forward to staying there again next time we are in town.
Perrfect "home" base for the 6 adults and 3 children in our family. excellent, quiet location, but within walking distance to downtown. Plenty of bed linens and cook- and dinner-ware, great porch and yard space, and laundry facilities. Short drive to the parkks and to local playgrounds.
I hosted a small group of 8 guests for a yoga retreat! We could walk into town easily, access trails, and all have our own privacy. The backyard is special!!! I will definitely be back!!!
Worked well. 7 family members. Close to all activities for athletes. Main House is a treat. Only drawback was no hot water in front bedroom shower. Sure that will be taken care of.
Beautiful getaway for a family in the heart of Moab
My family and I had a wonderful getaway over Thanksgiving at this beautiful home in the heart of Moab. Walkable to downtown with easy access to Arches National Park. The kitchen provided the opportunity to cook many meals at the house, including a large full Thanksgiving spread, complete with a turkey. Having a private bathroom for each bedroom provided privacy for every couple, while the shared common areas allowed us to commune as a large family. Loved this getaway, and we hope to visit again in the future!
Great property. Conveniently located to downtown Moab and easy access to any activity.
I would highly recommend for any group. Hope to stay there again in the future.
It was a perfect house for our family - 7 adults and one grandchild. The courtyard or the front porch were great places to relax and to talk about our day. Dinners were shared at the massive table in the courtyard. The location close to town, Arches and Canyonlands was a huge bonus! This was much better than staying in a hotel or condo.
Cali Cochitta was perfect for our group of 10 family members..teens through grandma. One room fit the five cousins (with spacious hall bath), and then there were 3 bed/bath suites for us adults. There were plenty of kitchen amenities. Little details were thought of like lots of hooks to hang things on in bedrooms, etc. Awesome shaded front porch made it so that it didn’t feel anywhere near 100 degrees. The home is 3 blocks from town making it super easy to walk to dinner and shops. Community basketball hoop diagonal from house which the teens enjoyed. Location is 10 min from Arches and 40ish minutes to get to Canyonlands which worked very well for us. If you like hiking do the Grandstaff Canyon Trail 10 min from the house..beautiful a d great for all ages.
