About this property

This beautiful retreat is located just minutes from the town Montrose. Open the patio doors and step onto the deck to enjoy the sight and sounds of the Uncompahgre River flowing through the acreage. There is also a stream on the property that leads to a pond. Don’t mind the deer that live in the adjoining thicket, they love the apples from our tree as much as we do.

On the main floor is the gathering area, including an open plan kitchen, living room, dining area and a game table. Be sure to light the fire, sit back, and relax.

Adjacent to the gathering area is the library with a queen size sleeper sofa and the ensuite master bedroom with a king size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. Feel free to sleep with the French doors open. The next room has full-size bunk beds. The home is set up to comfortably sleep 12 people.

Across the breezeway is an apartment above the garage. You will find a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room which has a queen size pull-out couch. Off of the living room is a gorgeous deck with amazing views! The apartment also has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a full bathroom with a stand-up shower. The apartment is set up to sleep 4 people.

This property also boasts a lovingly-restored sod house (be sure to note the live green roof)! The one-room sod home has a small kitchen and full bath. The 2 full size beds are located at one end of the open space. The sod house sleeps 4 and is available to reserve in addition to the main house May through September, weather permitting. There is no A/C in the sod house, but it stays so cool in there, it isn't really needed!

Laundry facilities are also provided in the main house.

Work Trip

Six of us from work had a meeting in Montrose. Great place for a group. Plenty of rooms and privacy paired with a large living room space that allowed us to complete some of the work we needed to do together. Gorgeous setting, quite, and comfortable.

What a place!

We needed a place to stay close to Ophir and Imogene Pass in Colorado. This house was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and 1 child. The views from the back porch were wonderful. We would definitely stay again!
