Nice house, nice holiday, some discussions

It is a nice house with a spacious living area and proper window blinds. The house stays quite cool even while having 38 degrees outside. Bathrooms are ok, there are two in the upper floor and a very small one on the ground floor. Outside there is a big terrace facing the garden and the pool. There is also a poolhouse. Even though the pool would need some renovation, it is quite big and has an alarm, which is comfortable when traveling with kids. If there were any problems, the kind neighbour was quick to help. A big plus is the walking distance to Uzés. A charming town with lovely restaurants and a wonderful market on Saturdays. Christine and Didier are kind and helpful hosts. Unfortunately we had some discussions over too many details at the end. The house is decorated with lots of private items and antiques. It is recommendable to remove some items for security reasons (especially when traveling with smaller kids) and put them back on its exact place before leaving. This is also the case for the kitchen, which tends to be quite compact when cooking for 9 persons. The sunbeds did not have cushions and there were no bath towels, but we had to deal with the complaint about alleged stains from sunmilk. However, we enjoyed our holidays in this beautiful region!

En réponse à cette appréciation, il nous parait important de souligner les points suivants : - Les parties privées ont été visitées malgré les affiches et les consignes écrites et orales - - En pleine canicule avec 40 degrés, la climatisation est réglée sur 16 degrés dans 1 chambre et 20 degrés au rez de chaussée ! Les directives gouvernementales étaient 26 degrés…. - C’est peut être pour cette raison que les couvertures d’hiver en laine et les plaids en fourrure rangés dans la partie PRIVEE PRIVATE ont été sorties ainsi que le linge préparé pour les vacanciers suivants. - - meubles et objets déplacés d’un étage à l autre, linge taché à l eau de Javel, transats définitivement tachés par des produits solaires, sol tachés - A noter que les 12 draps de bains mis en évidence dans le pool house avec 1 étiquette format A4 dessus « DRAPS DE BAINS SERVEZ VOUS » n’ont pas été utilisés. - Locataires fort sympathiques mais maison laissée en état négligé Nous avons été un peu déçus

A great find - Modern Stylish House - 12 minutes walk to the centre of Uzes -

This house is a perfect choice for those seeking a modern space walking distance to the centre of Uzes. It gave us exactly what we hoped it would. We needed 5 Double Bedrooms for our party of 8 in walking distance to the centre of Uzes. 12 minutes walk to the centre along some of my favourite lanes in Uzes. An architect designed house with a fantastic large downstairs open plan lounge/dining area, a compact but lovely kitchen one end and 5 bedrooms. 1 downstairs Double and upstairs 3 bedrooms one end of the building and a master suite on a mezzanine the other end. A 6th day bed available with the master suite. It is a modern space, white walls throughout with splashes of colour artistically around the house. Outside a terrace with a separate outdoor seating area and a large table and seating for al fresco dining outside the kitchen door. Clever system of electric blinds that are kept shut through the heat of the day and opened in the evening makes the house very cool - a clever air conditioning alternative. It worked perfectly and this was one of the coolest houses we have stayed in in France. Pool area with poolside covered seating area and barbecue. Plenty of loungers by the pool. Lots of linen provided and the hosts could not have been more welcoming, we were instructed to make the house our own and help ourselves to anything we needed. It is a very calm space , modern, arty, and a tranquil space that was just what we needed. Uzes has so much to offer and this really was the perfect location. A holiday that we all loved and a house we would stay in without hesitation again.

Lovely house walking distance to Uzès

Lovely 5 double bedroom house on the outskirts of Uzès. There is a big living space with the living room and the kitchen on the ground floor plus one bedroom. On the first floor, on one side you have 3 double bedrooms and a bathroom and the other side, the master bedroom with ensuite and walking wardrobe. Outside, there is a big south facing terrace, a pool house with a barbecue and a lovely space to eat in the shade. The pool could do with a bit of renovation but still very nice when it's 30°+ outside!!! Christine and Didier are lovely hosts and very helpful when we needed them. I'd definitely recommend this house!

Super séjour à Uzes

Fantastische Villa aan de rand van Uzes

Wij hebben met 2 gezinnen, met onze pubers genoten van deze heerlijke villa. We zijn zeer gastvrij en hartelijk ontvangen. De villa is enorm ruimtelijk en decoratief ingericht. De slaapkamers zijn ruim, sfeervol en voorzien van voldoende bergruimte voor je kleding. Het huis heeft fijne goed uitgeruste keuken, waar we dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Een heerlijke tuin, met heerlijk zwembad met voldoende ligbedden. Het enige minpuntje waren wellicht de douchekoppen. Een bevestiging aan de wand zou prettig zijn, ipv vasthouden. Verder was het huis echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Uzes is een ontzettend gezellig plaatsje met winkeltjes en terrassen op loop/ of fietsafstand. Wij danken onze gastheer en gastvrouw nogmaals voor hun warme ontvangst.
