Hocking hills stay

We loved staying here! It was perfect. Enough in the woods to relax and close enough to everything. The hot tub & it being dog friendly really made our stay. Also very clean!

Perfect for 2 people!

We loved the cabin! Hot tub worked well, everything was really clean. Grill had no propane tank so we couldn’t cook outdoors. We loved our stay, thank you!!

Exactly as Pictured

The cabin was exactly as shown on the listing. One room cabin with kitchen, a tv and couch, full sized bed, and a separate bathroom. The grill and hot tub worked well and everything was clean when we checked in. It made for a very cozy, romantic stay

Enjoyable

The trash at the corner of Phelps Rd doesn’t give a very good first impression but overall the cabin was very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub. This was our 2nd stay at a Blue Rose cabin. We will be back again.

Gorgeous little cabin in the woods

Took a friend for a mini vacation and we stayed in the wild rose cabin for a night. It was an amazing relaxing little get away. My only concern is the drive up the hill. We had no problems getting there in her jeep but my car would have never made it. To be honest we appreciated the remote stay just would have liked a heads up on the drive.

Solace

I needed “me” time. Twenty-four hours of reflection and peace. Far from everything and everyone while I listened to my favorite music and wrote in my journal. Can’t wait for my next sabbatical.

Cute, but not comfy

The cabin is perfect for two people. Great location and view. I have no qualms with the cabin itself. The bed was terrible to sleep on. It was not big enough for two people (maybe a full size mattress) and was not comfortable. It felt like I was sleeping on a futon or a cot. This was super disappointing after one day of exploring and needing rest for the second day of exploring. They’re also not kidding about needing a 4x4 to get to the cabin. We almost didn’t make it and we stayed in June.

The driveway leading to the cabins's is just plain awful. We have a King Ranch and even with that in 4 wheel drive , we still had a lot of issues with deep ruts. There are so many chemicals in the hot tub our eyes are burning and the whole inside smells like a musty basement.

Not the best

When we got there the house cleaner obviously just left, the floor looked like someone poured a gallon of bleach water on it. At 11:30 pm it was still wet. There was no mop to clean it up, when it dried out socks were black. No pots or pans to speak of, 1 small pot and 4 crappy skillets, 1 collender. The seating was a love seat with a cover over it. Hot tub has so much chlorine it burns your eyes Back deck is slimy with moss No cable which is fine but movies are old and outdated, the DVD player might work and it might not. The location is good, it's nice and quiet.

Overall the cabin was nice. Cleanliness could use a little more detail cleaning. The driveway to our cabin was very inaccessible our car could not make it up the hill without damaging it. Management was able to switch cabins for us in a timely manner and that was very helpful. If I could make one suggestion it would be to supply coffee filters or a reusable filter. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Dawn

Stayed there as a bit of a splurge and found it very disappointing.

It was nice to take a shower after a few days in rustic cabins -- there was no light in or near the shower so that was a problem. Poor lighting for reading, no wifi, occasional cell service and the dvd player DID NOT WORK. Perhaps the worst bed I've ever encountered. One of us had to sleep on the loveseat, or try to.

It made for a nice quiet getaway.

It was a nice quiet cozy cabin getaway. The accommodations are adequate, it was clean, the hot tub was warm. We just used the cabin as a place to sleep, so really didn’t use anything in the kitchen as we primarily went out to eat. It’s smaller than expected, but was perfect for just the two of us. All the information provided stated that four wheel drive was recommended and they went kidding. We went in early September and needed it to get up the last section, so plan accordingly.
