Historical heritage 3 km from the sea, the Manoir de Barneville

The Gîte de la Sirène is the old cellar of the Manor, dating from 1798, completely renovated. It opened in August 2017.

It is located in the heart of a property labeled historic heritage, the Manoir de Barneville (16th century). Surrounded by Norman groves, the gîte is close to the sea (2 km), on the coast of the Channel Islands, in the seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret. Its typical Cotentin setting is ideal for your holidays in the Manche.

The gîte de la sirène is a stone house with open views without vis-à-vis enclosed gardens (1 ha) and the Manor. The property consists of an Italian garden and two meadows. It is closed by low walls, hedges and a grove. Two streams border the meadows. The property is surrounded by meadows where you can admire cows, horses but also a typical wild fauna and many birds...

Great for summer break

This was a perfect spot, near to town but secluded in the country. Our hostess was kind and welcoming and the ping pong table was very useful in bad weather. We would highly recommend this place

Erholsamer Urlaub in Unterkunft mit Charme

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dieser originellen Unterkunft verbracht. Es handelt sich um ein eigenes Haus auf dem Anwesen eines alten Herrenhauses (Manoir). Bzgl. der Ausstattung haben wir nichts vermisst, die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Ruhe war herrlich. Für die Gäste gibt es eine idyllische Terrasse, die über einige Schritte vom Haus zu erreichen ist, auf dem ganzen Anwesen kann man sich frei bewegen. Zu den Stränden und zum Supermarkt sind es wenige Kilometer. Wer es originell und traditionell mag, ist hier genau richtig.

Urlaub wie im Bilderbuch

Vielen Dank für diese tolle Urlaubswoche. Wir haben nicht damit gerechnet, dass das Manoir in Wirklichkeit noch viel schöner ist, als auf den Bildern. Haus und Anwesen sind liebevoll restauriert und instandgesetzt worden. Die Gîte ist sehr großzügig ausgestattet und in der Küche findet man alles, was man für fröhliche Kochrunden im Urlaub so braucht. Unsere Gastgeber waren unglaublich offen, freundlich und zugewandt und haben sich sehr, sehr geduldig auf unsere rudimentären Französischkenntnisse eingelassen. Unsere Kinder waren in Stall und Garten immer willkommen und waren von den Tieren sehr begeistert. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und der Bäcker im Ort ausgezeichnet. Wir haben viel Französisch gelernt und uns gut erholt. Merci beaucoup, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Alles war perfekt und stimmig!

Wir durften zu viert dieses wundervolle Herrenhaus für eine Woche bewohnen. Vielen Dank an Annick und Antoine! Das geschichtsträchtige Herrenhaus liegt etwas abgeschieden von der kleinen Ortschaft Barneville-Carteret. Fußläufig ist die Ortschaft aber innerhalb von 15 Minuten erreichbar, mit dem Auto sogar in wengen Minuten. Die Nachtruhe, die wir als Großstädter sehr vermissen, war sehr angenehm und erholsam. Bei der Ankfunt empfingen uns die Vermieter herzlich und offen. Nach einem ausführlichen Rundgang wurde uns der Schlüssel übergeben und wir konnten unseren Urlaub beginnen. Das Herrenhaus wurde liebevoll restauriert und uns erwarteten saubere und helle Zimmer. Es waren wunderschöne Tage die wir sehr genossen haben. Vielen Dank dafür und wir kommen wieder!

Besonderer Ort - toller Urlaub

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Dies verdanken wir den tollen Gasgebern Annik und Antoien. Haus und Hif sind sehr gemütlich und ein besonderer Ort. Die Umgebung viele Möglichkeiten.
