Great location but house needs work

The location of this property is amazing. You’re a straight shot to the beach - just two blocks away and you’re right around the corner from downtown. However the house has much to be desired in terms of updating and general maintenance. There were old stained cushions on the front porch with a bunch of random furniture jammed in, to the point where it was hard to even fit a beach cart. The front gate was broken. The front doorknob was broken. The ice maker was broken. There was trash and random objects in the side and backyards and the kitchen wasn’t emptied of random stuff, so it was challenging to bring a bunch of groceries in for the week with very little space to put everything. The outside shower was dirty and I don’t think the front porch had been swept in some time. It felt a little like this house wasn’t ready to be sold so they just put it up to rent. Long and Foster was lovely to work with and had great processes in place for the pandemic so I would be glad to work with them again, but we will not be staying at this property next year.
