The guys enjoyed their stay and fishing was good. The house was very convenient and so homey. This fishing trip will be talked about for months to come. Made a lot of memories with family and friends. Would highly recommend this house.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice and close to the beach (2 minute walk). The only thing that would keep us from renting this property again is the condition of the stairs. If they get replaced we will happily sign up for next year.

Barbara,
I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Although the stairs needed a few repairs done, we have since then decided to replace the deck and all the stairs! We appreciate your input regarding this matter, and hope to have you and your family as our guest again in the near future 😎

This home is in a great location. Just a short walk to the beach. There are several great restaurants nearby. Felt like home! It was the perfect weekend stay!
The location was perfect — very close to the beach and easy to get around. Communication with the hosts was smooth and timely. The kitchen had what we needed for basic cooking. Like most rentals, the skillet wasn’t great, but that’s pretty common. Dishes and utensils were a mix of styles, but there was enough for our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable, though the carpets are older and a bit worn in spots. If you’re bringing dogs, I recommend bringing a gate or board to block off the deck stairs.Overall, the house had plenty of room and worked out perfectly for our short visit. We’d definitely stay here again!
The place was GREAT! Plenty of room for the 7 of us. Clean, and well stocked, even had coffee. The owners contacted us ahead of time with contact information. Then followed up after our stay.Tina was friendly and professional. I really enjoy our chat.First time using Vrbo, Won't be our last
The house was very comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a quiet vacation for my husband and I and our adult children. We will definitely look to stay here again.
Absolute gem of a property close to a fantastic beach. Immaculately clean, well furnished, and friendly hosts. Couldn't ask for anything more for a beach vacation. Thank you!! Can't wait to come back
My family and I enjoyed our vacation. We were pleased to see the pictures really didn't do the place justice. Pet friendly area, and great house to stay in.
We rented this house to meet family members. Tha house was wonderful it was roomy and close to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and beach is very family friendly and clean. The hosts were friendly and quickly responded to all our inquiries prior to our stay. Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.
This property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The living area is huge! It has a large kitchen, packed with everything you need and plenty of space in the dining room. The location is so convenient. Walk by a few houses and you're on the Gulf of America beach. This section of the beach is actually dog friendly (as is the property)! Our little Ewokian (Havanese/Pomeranian) puppy loved the beach! The Tacky Jack seafood restaurant is a few minutes away and not far from Fort Morgan Historical Site (all dog friendly). The Fort Morgan area is so secluded from the tourists and is so quiet, yet close enough to drive to Gulf Shores for souvenirs and shopping. We'll be back!
This was our first time in the Gulf Shores area. We had a wonderful family vacation with all of our family. The location was perfect, 20 minutes outside of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. We loved that we were a short walk to the beach and that we were in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house was a good size for our family. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to cook meals. We loved having the washer and dryer. We definitely would stay here again when we are in the Gulf Shores area. We encountered no problems while we were there.
We had a wonderful week at Busy Doin Nothin! Property was perfect! Rustic and beachy! Tina was the most accommodating! We had one issue, terrible mosquitoes because of prior rains before we showed up, and she called the town and they came and sprayed twice! Service!!!!! Wow! Thanks for your help! We will definitely stay with you in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Tina Scarborough.
We are native Alabamians. We live in Tallassee, Alabama. Joe and I enjoy actively participating in our Church, traveling with our friends, boat rides on Mobile Bay, fishing and shrimping, riding the ferry to Dauphin Island, bike rides in the Fort Morgan and Dauphin Island area, and enjoying the prettiest beach in the world- here in Ft. Morgan!
Why they chose this property
The Fort Morgan area reminds us of how Gulf Shores was forty (40) years ago- prior to the proliferation of condos. Ft. Morgan is a quiet, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the pristine white sandy beach, salt air, and the ever-present Gulf breezes; a community of single-family homes, with great neighbors and friends.
What makes this property unique
Only a short walk (less than 100 yards- length of football field) from the house to the beach. Our street (Bernard Court East) actually dead ends onto the beach- there is no cutting through other property owner's yards, or walking down the beach front road east or west to access the 'public' areas. The Gulf and Bay views (when leaves are off the trees in the Fall and Winter) can be enjoyed from the front deck. Since the house is located about a 1/4 mile away from Fort Morgan Marina, and approximately a mile from the Ft. Morgan historic site with public boat launch and fishing pier (to be remodeled in the coming year), there are a lot of fishing and boating activities available- we enjoy shrimping and fishing in Mobile Bay. .
