Log Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6) -450 yards to the Suawnnee River

Come enjoy the peace and quiet at Red Bird Cabin with 16 private acres on the historic Suwannee River. Surrounded by giant, sleepy live oaks, lemon, and orange trees, you will thoroughly enjoy getting away from it all! The property is a wonderful retreat with a large, open yard and gorgeous views. Enjoy watching the local wildlife, such as white tail deer, Osceola turkeys, and blue herons while relaxing in the screened-in sun room or swinging on the large front porch swings.

One king master bedroom is downstairs. There is a bathroom right outside the master bedroom in the hall. It has a walk in shower with a small step over. The other king master bedroom is upstairs in the loft. The twin bunk room is upstairs as well as the second bathroom with a shower/tub.

Red Bird Cabin is completely furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences. It has recently been renovated with new countertops, flooring, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. Bring your food. Bring your fishing poles. Bring your boat! There is a private boat landing on the property, approximately 450 yards from the cabin. The public boat ramp is approximately three miles away.
There is a fire pit with a grill top just outside the side porch.

Amazing Home

Very peaceful with all the beauty nature has to offer. Home was absolutely beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything needed to cook your meals. Large outdoor areas to relax and a short walk to the river. I will definitely be back!

Red Bird Getaway

Wonderful trip. The cabin was fantastic. The quiet, the deer, the turkey. Everything was there to make it a relaxing weekend. My wife can't wait to go back again.

Great house, comfortable beds, great for a relaxing getaway. Negatives the local town is like a ghost town. Not many restaurants and 2 stores for groceries. A couple of us were outside taking photos and a black suv (neighbor down at the end of the drive) rolled slowly down the street, parked facing us and watched us for 5 minutes and drove away, kinda creepy.

Annual 4th of July Trip

This property is the perfect place for our family to spend the holiday week. It's close to our favorite springs and family in town. We plan to be back again next year. Robin is easy to communicate with, the house is clean, and everything you need for a great stay is right there.

Red Cabin Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful cabin. We welcomed friends and family for long-needed reunions. The cabin is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was the best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen in any VRBO we've stayed. The peace and quiet was much needed and much appreciated. We would recommend this cabin to anyone! Perfect little getaway...

This the perfect place to getaway and relax. We enjoyed the view while having our coffee on the front porch. The beds were comfortable and the home was cozy. We traveled to some of the near by springs. (Ichetucknee was our favorite)

Peaceful Retreat

We appreciated the grace and comfort of Redbird Cabin. This Suwannee River home is well equipped and appointed. We enjoyed the expansive grounds, front porch, and outdoor areas. We saw a lot of deer and other wildlife and took lovely drives in the countryside visiting various parks and local towns.

Exactly as described, great host.

The property was exactly as described and the host did an excellent job. A major hurricane hit just before our stay and they communicated the cleanup and power restoration process every step of the way in a calm professional manner. They were coconsiderate of our needs and very thoughtful about impacting our stay with their recovery efforts. The house is cool and when we booked it was an exceptional value. Highly recommended!

We love the house and our plans was to tube the Ichetucknee River and to see some of the surrounding springs. The Ichetucknee river was awesome. we tubed Thursday and Saturday. Fridaywe went to some of the local springs but the swanee flooded most of them.

SWEET CABIN IN THE WOODS

Great little get-away to clear our heads and be surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. During the days we drove around to explore the neighboring little historical towns, we especially enjoyed Grumpy's Diner in Madison. We saw deer and a hummingbird came to visit. us one morning while we were having coffee on the rocking chairs on the front porch. The old live oak trees were beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet. The cabin itself was super clean and welcoming and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

Paradise on the river

It was such a relaxing time staying at Red Bird. Saw deer the 1st morning and the morning we were leaving. The private boat launch was perfect for our boating adventures checking out some springs. My husband did state that this was one of your best and relaxing vacations the one downfall for us was not dropping the air past 72 lol we keep our house cold normally but the cabin did stay comfy.

Mother’s Day Memories

This place is spectacular! My two daughters and my three grandbabies had the most wonderful Mother’s Day here. Lots of space for the kiddos to run around and explore. Property was kid friendly with lots of kids toys, movies, kids table and chairs, tricycles and bikes. Saw deer and armadillos. Walked down to the boat ramp. It was so perfect for us. I grew up in Mayo and spent a lot of my childhood in and around this property. I have since moved away and have become a Professional Engineer and I am practicing in Atlanta, Georgia.

Why they chose this property

My grandfather built the cabin. It is very special to us! We wanted to keep life flowing through it, so we decided to transform it into a vacation rental property. The cabin is nestled in the middle of 16 private acres and surrounded by ancient live oak trees accented with Spanish moss. There are also orange, lemon and fig tress.
The Suwannee River is approximately 450 yds from the home. If you are looking for peace and quiet, visit our Redbird Cabin!
