Was looking for a retreat from suburban life and found tranquility here. Was nice to sit back and relax after my bike rides. Loved sitting on the porch late afternoons, playing with Shin, feeding the horses & chickens.
It’s hard to write this review because the hosts were wonderful and the chickens and horses were fun. I knew that it was going to be cold, but I would not have booked the room knowing there was a space heater which can be a fire hazard. I also think it was very overpriced. We were in a pinch so had no real choice. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again.
It is as it is shown. Exactly like the pics. Needs more heat during the cold nights for this southern guy. The roosters love this particular unit. When I arrived they set outside and crowed until I went into town. Then they were back in the morning, not too early, but back. Would use this locations again and my next year if the regional weight lifting competition is at Suwannee again.
Overall great stay.
We loved getting away from the city (Atlanta) to enjoy the rural farm life for a few days. The stars are absolutely beautiful without light pollution, and the “star gazing bed” was perfect for viewing. Our accommodations were clean, fully stocked with toiletries and snacks upon arrival, and comfortable. The hosts are sweet and kindhearted people who will entertain you with stories and answer any questions you have (and offer suggestions for food/fun too!).
Normally we keep to ourselves, but this little haven felt like a commune. We met many other guests all gathered around the fire and shared our love for nature and animals. Most important to us - the hosts and other guests were LGBTQ+ friendly! As a queer couple, rural FL can be a scary place. If you’re looking for a relaxing, queer-friendly place near the springs of northern FL, stay here! You’ll be surrounded by positivity from hand painted signs and can make your own. :)
This place was just what I needed to get away from ALL distractions. They have rescued farm animals. I'm a city girl by nature, so who knew how much I would enjoy interacting with them. This place was exactly what I needed!
The tiny house is amazing, it was super cute, very neat and clean, the bed was comfy, it had everything we needed for our 1 night stay, and the little extras like coffee and corn to feed the chickens were a nice surprise. The owners are very friendly and and respond to messages quickly. Falling asleep to the rain on the roof and waking up to the peacefulness was just what we needed after our long time on the road. I highly recommend the tiny house or any of the other options available at Kokomo Farms.
