The house sits right on the river! Beautiful, quiet, private place. In addition, the owners were very convenience/safety minded: flashlights if u want to venture out at night or lose power, bug spray (it’s Florida) , nightlights in hallways and bathroom (some of us can’t see in the dark), etc. Very grateful for these small, but thoughtful touches. And lastly- that “kayak loading/launching” rig down on the dock- FABULOUS! Certainly made it easier getting in/out of the river
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was peaceful, quiet, and calm—exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. It was well-equipped with everything we could have possibly needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. We spent our days fishing, grilling, and kayaking to the springs and down the river—such a beautiful and memorable experience. We also enjoyed exploring the area, including a visit to Nature’s River Antique Store in Mayo, which was a fun stop. For meals, we tried Mayo Café and Mi Viejo, and both were delicious—definitely recommend!Overall, this was a perfect getaway, and we would absolutely come back again.
Everything was as stated by the host. It is a very pleasant and quiet retreat. Spotlessly clean. It is a great place to stay and visit the area. We enjoyed the rivers and springs.
We enjoyed our stay and the property was just as described. The easy access to the springs was wonderful and communication with the owners was excellent. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!
Everything was great and accurate. We loved it. If I had younger children I would be concerned about the river but if you watch the kids it is all cool. Lots of wildlife and close to all the springs. We would stay again. Very quite and secluded.
Very clean, organized and well-stocked with towels, cooking utensils, a grill, kayaks, etc.Hosts were very helpful in answering questions. Had a TERRIFIC guest information book with info about grocery shopping, restaurants, emergency numbers.
This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The description of the place was on point. We seen some wildlife. And right across from the house was a beautiful little spring that you could swim in. Our family will definitely be back.
We had a great time! We had Nana Camp with my grandchildren ranging in age from 7-13. We loved the wildlife, weather, river, and all the provisions you supplied so we could make the most of everything. We tubed, kayaked, roasted marshmallows, played board games, sang, danced and fell exhaustedly to sleep each night.
Second time and it was just a perfect as the first.
Fantastic hosts.

Loved how secluded this property was and it being on the river! Very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Take note that this house is elevated so getting your suitcase up might be a bit of a hassle.
Perfect vacation getaway. Spring across the river was like a hideaway serenity. Host was very responsive at all time. Check in was smooth as can be. I wouldve like having a tv in the bedroom as i am a white noise sleeper but thats the only thing i would change.
Amazing property. Perfect peaceful river retreat. House is very well stocked with everything you need. Very clean and well maintained property. The four kayaks give you ability to get out on the river and explore its beauty. Will definitely return.
They house was very nice, we fit 6 people with no issues. I think the only complaint from my family (2 boys 8 and 10 years old) was there wasn’t tvs in the bedrooms. The patio area with the lights, basket ball, the dock, was nice to escape reality in a new area. Highly recommend. The little river springs is beautiful too!
Cleanest most well supplied rental I’ve been in. Private location on the river sets the scene for a relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time and highly recommend the River House.
This place is exactly what we were looking for. We loved the location, very quiet and relaxing. The house was extremely clean and well organized. Plenty of springs to visit just few miles from the house. If you want a peaceful and relaxing weekend this is the place to go.
This property was exactly what I hoped it would be. It was in a beautiful location right on the river and had a very nice outdoor space. The house itself was very clean and have everything you would need. Would definitely stay again.
The house was very clean. Beautiful location with a beautiful view of the river. Had a lot of fun fishing and just relaxing. The host responded very quickly to any questions from booking to checking out.
Had a fantastic stay, kayaked up river each day and got into the vibe, floated back down and back to this beautiful place and recovered. The river is strong, definitely more than we were used to but worth the paddle to get up to Peacock Springs and on less strenuous day rt across the river to spring! The sturgeon’s jumping, and catfishing off the dock was awesome too. Highly recomend and will be back!
Ez to navigate to. The Spring"S are a short ride troy, peacock, convict spring was very nice plenty of space not at all busy. We did cook an guests had any thing u needed to cook with we did get take out from a place in Branford called 0ur place pizzeria ate left overs for 2days awesome . An that was just 1st day loved it can't wait togo back
If you are looking for a place to relax and watch the river flow by, this is the place to go. This place could use a little TLC, but don’t let that deter you. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The place was well stocked and check in and out was easy. The owner sent us a message the day we checked in telling us to be careful going down the ramp to the dock due to river being low which made it real steep, which was nice of them. The one thing I would watch out for is when it’s raining the rain runs off the roof right into the middle of the steps leading up to the door.

About the host
Hosted by Michael & Trang Daniel
We are a family of 4 and live full time in St. Petersburg, 3 hours south of the river. A few years ago we began exploring the various rivers in Florida, and fell in love with North Florida and the Suwannee River. The moment we stood on the back balcony and looked out over the Suwannee we new it was a great fit for our family. We love coming up to the River House every couple of weeks, and have been blessed to share it and the memories with friends as well.
Why they chose this property
This part of Florida has that "Old Florida" feel of which we Floridians speak so fondly. The lazy flow of the river resonates throughout the area. Life seems to relax and slow down. The locals are friendly and polite, and the hurried pace of the city does not seem to exist here.
What makes this property unique
There are two springs across the river from the house. Both are available to the public, however the property around them is private. The spring directly across from the house is Running Spring. Then approximately 100 yards down stream from that is Cow Spring. The crystal clear cold water is especially refreshing on a hot summer day.
