Thank you Patricia! Glad you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to seeing you again!
Sandra & Jeff were wonderful host. We were welcomed with homemade cookies, beautiful flowers and dog treats. Not to mention a dozen farm fresh eggs to enjoy during our stay. The property was private with free range chickens and roosters and Mr Happy Hank their lab who came to say hello to us and our dogs everyday. He was so friendly and our lab Elle loved him. They became best friends quickly. The stars at night were also so clear & beautiful in the sky as we enjoyed them while sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows. This was a great way to get away from the stresses of work, disconnect from social media and just enjoy spending time connecting with your friends, loved ones and nature. Not connecting to a screen. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and Jeff’s assistance with my husband’s gear issues. It went above and beyond !!!
The property host did an excellent job and in truth the customer service portion and attention to detail was high. The only thing that was difficult for us is the wifi was very weak and since we were working this definitely was an issue. Thankfully they worked with us to reset the internet as needed. We also had a few toilet issues, but really it was a minor thing. The gate was either annoying or great depending on if your focus is easy access or security. The property itself was very peaceful and had a very country / natural / quiet atmosphere. When we were out they took care of our trash and had some eggs / a few other treats to make the stay better. All in all, if you are not planning on working and you just want a nice get away from normal life, this is an excellent location. If you are working, you might have a few hiccups.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming property for a three-night weekend getaway, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described—if not better. The location is conveniently situated just outside of Live Oak, which made it very easy to find, while still offering a wonderful sense of seclusion and privacy. We felt completely safe and at ease throughout our stay, which added to the peacefulness of the setting. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative, always quick to respond and very helpful without ever being intrusive. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Hank, the resident farm dog. He was an absolute sweetheart—gentle, friendly, and immediately got along with both of us and our own dog, which made us feel right at home. The rental itself was spotless upon arrival and thoughtfully prepared. It provided a comfortable and quiet space for us to unwind, read, and enjoy a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle. One of our favorite parts of each day was taking leisurely walks with our dog down to the nearby pond, where we enjoyed watching the ducks and soaking in the peaceful rural atmosphere. All in all, this was a truly lovely stay and a perfect weekend retreat. We would absolutely stay here again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and pet-friendly escape with welcoming hosts and a beautiful property
This is a great place to get away from the stress of the world. We had a long stay and never had to worry about anything bothering us. Its name describes it well, almost camping. Sandy is one of the friendliest ladies you will ever meet and so easy to work with.
If we ever go back to Live Oak we will stay here.
