Excellent central Newport Location - Great Amenities and Staff.

The property and the unit were very clean and obviously well managed and the unit was as described. Great Shower, beds well made and comfortable. Everything you might need in the kitchen except a tea kettle of some kind. There was a Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby that made really good coffee Despite being pretty full, it was very quiet at night and the pools and amenities are very good. The one issue was the unit location immediately above the property trash cans and where employees hung out when on break or lunch. We were woken up very early by the trash truck the first morning , and employees hanging out with some smoking, loud talking etc.We would definitely come back to the property for next years Jazz Fest, but proably look for a unit with a view and in a different location on site.

Great location

The property is close to everything, yet in a surprisingly quiet location. Located very close to the Newport transportation center where you could hop on the free trolley shuttle or pick up the trolley tours. Communicating with the property owner, Russell, was easy. He was responsive and answered all of our questions. The property staff was excellent! They were very friendly and responsive to any requests, e.g. ice, toothbrush, etc. The unit was spotless and comfortable. A great touch was finding a gallon of spring water in the refrigerator! Only wish our unit overlooked the harbor rather than the parking lot and Marriott next door! There was construction going on at the property which made things a bit tricky but not too noisy. Our unit was above the activity room where movies played 3 times daily and you could hear them, especially any action sequences! Despite the cloudy weather during our entire stay, we had an enjoyable time!

Convenient and Relaxing

The Wyndham Long Warf is situated in a very convenient location. It is found almost around the corner from the visitor's center. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. The area is quiet and not congested. The Complex is well maintained and the apartments are very clean and comfortable. You'll find everything that you need in the apartment (from paper goods to wine glasses).. Costomer services is very accommodating..All of this makes for a very relaxing time.

I would not recommend this place to anyone

While the suite was clean and satisfactory, the pools and grounds were much too small for the number of guests/rooms and there were no other useful amenities for families to enjoy. It would appear this is the cheapest place around to stay because there were loud and intrusive bachelor and bachelorette parties as well as barking dogs on-site.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and spacious, laid out nicely. AC was not working, we called front desk and someone was out in a few minutes and got it running. Very satisfied. Could walk into town, nice location.

Great place, perfect location

My husband and I stayed at this property with our one year old and my mom and dad. The unit was very clean and was in the perfect location. We walked everywhere! We frequent Newport often and look forward to staying here again in the future! Designated parking is a huge bonus during the peak season.

Great location, very clean

Check in was a bit frustrating...arrived at 4:25 for 4:00 check in but unit was not ready, waited 1.5 hrs. Seemed very understaffed in general. The unit was very clean and well appointed, with the minor exception of the AC...extremely loud in tbe living room and did not keep main bedroom cool. All things considered we had an excellent stay!

Great Stay! Better than Advertised!

My family stayed at the Wyndham property for four night and have all good things to say about our stay. The property manager was responsive, checkin stay informative and helpful and the property was clean and fully equipped. I was confused by some of the pictures and now understand a few things that might help other renters. The biggest thing to know if that you aren’t guaranteed the exact unit (per the receptionist) that you see on the pictures. That is why I assume there are so many different formats show. They do work with you to fit your needs but all units have been updated. That was also unclear from the pictures but I felt so relieved once we got into the place. We had a great experience and highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised!

We booked this property for a last minute weekend in Newport mainly because of the location. My whole party was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the large room, the helpful staff, and the convenience of the location. We were walking distance to town and right near the water! Would definitely recommend this place to others looking to stay in Newport!

Wonderful..location..great comfort bedding...easy access ..lovely pool grounds..(also indoor pool and hot tub) full kitchen..free parking..Can walk to downtown. Location Is Everything!

My family stayed at the Wellington Resort. There are multiple locations on the listing on HomeAway which causes some confusion and can be misleading as to which location you'll be staying at. I had to contact the property manager once I booked to gather some clarification and to confirm the exact location that my family would be staying. Our stay at the property was amazing. We were there the week of the 4th; Independence Day. I feel its an ideal central location if you're staying in Newport and everything is within walking distance. If you have a car the resort provides free parking. You're practically on Thames Street where you have access to a plethora of stores and restaurants. Bowen's Wharf, Easton's Beach, Cliff Walk, Newport Winery, and the Mansions are all nearby. As far as the unit is concerned, it was very clean and larger than I expected. It was kind of dated with the wall paper and furnishing, but cleanliness is always more important to me, so I was happy about that. There were 2 bedrooms. One had a king with master bathroom and the other had 2 twins with a bathroom in the hallway. We had a kitchenette, living room, and dining room area with tv's in each bedroom and the living room. The only thing this unit was missing was an oven, which would've made for a complete functioning kitchen/apartment. Other than that we had absolutely no complaints. They do provide you with an electric hot plate/skillet and allow you to use their clubhouse oven if you need it. They accommodated all of our needs and provided WiFi. When arriving with our luggage they had a luggage cart at the elevator which was godsend. The unit had a balcony with a stunning view of the Newport Harbor where you could view fireworks or travel down the road a short distance to Fort Adams to view them there like we did .We had a great time and this location is what made our stay a memorable one. It was comfortable and felt like our home away from home.

Our family enjoyed the cleanliness of the property and the pool and hot tubs on the grounds. We also loved that there was a great place to eat breakfast next to boats within walking distance of the property. We wished there had been a washer and dryer in the unit, but laundry facilities were relatively close to our unit.

Amazing view.

The condo was beautiful. The view was amazing. The facilities of the resort were great. Cannot complain. Have been to Newport millions of times, never have stayed at this resort, however, will definitely stay here again. It was a perfect spot. Quiet too.
