70s theme, pet-friendly, home!

Two Hearthstones House is located on the south side of Yellowwood State Forest. The 5.7-mile Scarce O'Fat Loop Hiking Trail takes you through the heart of the forest.

Explore the trails in the beautiful Yellowwood Forest at your own pace. Just 25 miles away, Lake Monroe is an excellent spot for catching some rays.

Relax in front of the large brick fireplace. You can also play games at the dining table, the kitchen bar, or the breakfast nook. With its open concept, this mid-century home makes it easy for everyone to participate.

Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

All gas fireplaces are seasonal and available for use from October 1 to April 1.

PRICE STRUCTURE: Two Hearthstones is a multi-split-level home. The price structure is the rate for two people, with a master bedroom and bathroom on its split floor (all other bedrooms will remain locked). For three to four guests, we will unlock bedroom two and a bathroom on the upper split floor. Bedroom two contains another sleeping area with a trundle bed, separated by a curtain. For five or more guests, we will unlock bedroom three on the lowest level with a fireplace. A futon is located on the upper level in the loft

POOL: Open Late May-Early September

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

Base rate for this property is set at 2 people, each additional guest will be charged $30 per person per night.

The house was well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing get-a-way. The listing on Vrbo stated laundry was available at this house but that wasn't accurate. Not a big deal but if you are the type that wants to try and get some laundry done before going home its something to consider. The place was AWESOME!!

We stayed in the same Vrbo property three years ago, and we all noticed that it's showing wear and tear. For example, there's a green filmy substance at the base of the hot tub. Some baseboards are missing, like in the breakfast nook. There's an unpleasant odor from time to time on the deck. Also, the patio furniture cushions are mildewy and moldy, to the point that we removed one to set in the sun and refrained from using it.Important positive points:Well-stocked kitchen, including coffee/tea/napkins to use and all the right cooking equipment needed. Nice group seating near pool, outdoors, and in dining area. Clean pool. Responsive host. Beautiful, private, wooded setting.Important negative points:1. One in our group slipped in the shower and injured her collarbone.2. Another fell out of the bed in the lower level bedroom, thankfully no injuries, but a rude awakening. The mattress slopes downward, so moving legs off the bed like usual at home resulted in slipping to the floor.3. Steps throughout the home are different heights.4. Night lighting on the deck needs upgraded.Guests, be careful!!! We will not be returning, even though we enjoyed our two past experiences. The mildewy cushions and bodily injury made us all agree, not safe enough or to our cleanliness standards for a future stay.

Great Location!

Great set up for 6 adults! We weren’t far from anything (within 10-15 minutes). Owner very responsive from pre check-in to after we checked out! Definitely a spot to remember for any return visits!

Unique Place in the woods

Absolutely lovely! We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. The game room was a hIt for our group so fun! The hot tub and beautiful decor of all rooms and fire pit under the stars, very entertaining. We loved the extra touch of the pet station as we had or dogs. The pool was closed, the only sad part, other than leaving but it is October, although very hot out, nice a cool inside. The host's thought of everything. Such a great space for family and fun. We highly recommend this rental and enjoy!

70s theme, layout and decor were nicely curated. Large kitchen- easy to find things and space to move around. Game room was fun. Pool and hot tub were well-maintained and nice. Only downside was age of the home.

IU Family Trip

This property was great for both my elderly parents and teenage boys. Great location, not far from Bloomington or Nashville. The outdoor space was wonderful and the kitchen coffee bar was fantastic!

IU family weekend

Great for a large group

We stayed 2 nights for a bachelor weekend with 8 guests. There was so much space that we were all able to have our own space to play games, hang out in the hot tub, or just chill. The cabin is beautiful and so clean. I would love to stay again.
