Our stay was incredibly inviting. Camp wood was neatly stacked. Kitchen was pleasantly supplied. Bathroom and living environment was so comfy. Trails, beautiful rustic mountains meet the shoreline. The only info I would add…. Cabin is only accessible by ferry or water transport. It gets rather pricey to go back and forth to the Mainland and the last ferry leaves at 5 so I wouldn’t stay on the island again unless I wanted isolation to write, draw, or paint.
We had a great stay! Easy to check in. Easy to communicate with the host. House had every thing we needed. Wifi available, TV available. House very comfortable. Air conditioning available as well , though I doubt it’s usually needed. We were there for a hot weekend. Great location. Easy to get to from the ferry. quick drive to the local store/market ( we actually walked as well) . House is as pictured.
The cabin is in a great location, just minutes from the Island Market (take note that the market is closed on Sundays so make sure you have enough groceries to get to Monday). The cabin has everything it advertised and has such a cute property. Perfect for relaxing. The owner is very nice too and easy to get ahold of. I would happily recommend this place!
I made a mistake on the booking dates and the owner was very accommodating and was able to switch the dates on short notice. We had to leave a day early due to weather conditions and we were even refunded one night's lodging, although this was not expected.
The place was very cozy and relaxing. Great for building memories with the family!! My 11 year old daughter and 8 year old Great Dane had a blast!! The home was tidy and there were enough amenities there for stay. Everyone on the island were so nice; everyone waved and spoke as we walked by (hard not to when you had a big, pretty Dane with you, however, lol). Close grocery store for just about all of your basic needs. My only issue was the ferry on the way in; it can be expensive if you aren't planning on that being part of your stay (I believe that I spent 71 round trip for 2 adults, 1 child--in our vehicle). Also, we missed it due to heavy traffic and construction, and had to stay elsewhere on our first night. We gave ourselves an extra hour since we were driving from DE and had a 12 hr drive, but we were still late by less than 5 minutes to catch the ferry. Stephen was great about refunding our night that we missed. Knowing the ferry schedule in advance may be helpful (although I don't think it would have helped in our situation). Lastly, Stephen was great! He was very responsive via text and accommodating. I would definitely like to head back to this cozy cabin with my family in the future. Thanks for the memories, Stephen and Islesboro!
Looks like a nice well-built cabin from the outside, but wow, when you step inside it is really a nicely laid out modern cabin! Everything we walked into was as described and more. Communication was excellent! We really enjoyed our stay on the island, finding friendly people, interesting trails, many coves and beautiful views, sun rises and sunsets, and a nice quiet lifestyle. We enjoyed sitting out and having a fire in the evening, and we sat outside on the porch quite a bit off and on days and evenings. Just a great, quiet place to "get away" from everything and unwind! Loved it! THANKS!!
This is a beautiful cabin on an island off the coast of Maine. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. The owner did a good job of getting us into the property on our arrival day. If you want a quiet, relaxing place, this is for you. Do be prepared for an expensive ferry ride to and from the island. 60.00 round trip for me and my wife.
We had a very cozy and comfortable stay here over the christmas holiday! We had everything we needed to hunker down for a few days. Would absolutely stay here again.
This was a perfect place to stay for our first visit to the island to visit family. It was very clean and I appreciated the beautiful, quiet location and affordability.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week on the Island. Biking, hiking & kayaking. The house was exactly as described. Cozy, comfy, great front porch, woodsy, with a little view of the water. Great location & very relaxing!
