The cottage was clean and well maintained with a front deck with seating and a back patio with a table and 4 chairs, a grill, and a small fireplace. The view of the water is there, but distant. Its a short walk to the rail trail, which was very pleasant. The cottage is on a main road, so you do hear the cars going by, but it did quiet down at night. There is a loft, with a double bed and half bath. Its completely open to the downstairs, so there is very little privacy. Every footfall or turn in the bed upstairs, or use of the bathroom was heard in our bedroom downstairs. The stairway risers are all open and the stairs are a bit steep, so caution is recommended. The kitchen is great - all new appliances, etc. I suggest bringing a good knife and a frying pan, if you plan to cook in at all. I recommend to the owner to put a rubber safety mat in the shower - it is very slippery! Overall, we had a great time visiting Belfast and friends, and were comfortable in the cottage.
