Great place to stay and would definitely stay again. The only issue is that the ceilings may be a little thin where you can hear kids running around or dogs barking above you if you are on lower floors, bur it wasnt a big detraction. Great property to stay right on the beach with lots to do in the area.

So happy you enjoyed your stay, and thanks for the feedback!
Overall, the experience was great!!! Check in was easy and they let us check in early. The condo was excellent and in a great location. Only reason I did not give it 5*s is because of the walk to the beach. If the property works on that, we’ll be back!!!

Thanks for the great review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at Shipwatch! We can’t wait to have you for another stay.
The condo is clean, beautifully decorated, and located in a cute gated community. The walk to the beach is extensive, to say the least. We could hear every movement of the people in the condo above us. The beds were comfortable, but could definitely use a few extra pillows. The outdoor furniture on the balcony is nice and the string lights were an enjoyable touch. Excellent communication from the company- very clear and easy check in and check out information.
This unit was adorable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Wonderful experience!!!

Yay! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us at Shipwatch! We love this beautiful property too! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
Our stay was great! Private and yet still close enough to shopping and the beach. It was a little longer walk to the beach than I thought it would be but wasn’t too bad. The pool was a plus!

Wonderful! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us at Shipwatch! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
It was a great getaway for myself and and my 12 year old nieces. Self check-in was easy. Parking was close. The condo had everything we needed (although if you are really into cooking then you might need to bring more of your own supplies. It was nicely decorated. I would stay here again.
This was my first visit to St. Simons and I enjoyed the island.
Property is extremely far for a walk to beach. The second floor was so loud from the neighbors on top we did not get any sleep or rest. That was the main concern.

A decent place on the beach
First the negative; check-in was not smooth and was unorganized. An email provided instructions which seemed very simple and concise. We phoned to let them know we would be a late arrival and got a machine so we left a message. Later, a phone call came in that changed the instructions from the email. I followed the phone message instructions to go to the main office to get the check-in package. I get there at 2am and there is no package. I call the number listed for after hours and a friendly but sleepy lady answered and said to follow the directions in the email. We did that and there was the package and we were off to the room. That 20 extra minutes seemed like a week after a 6 hour drive and 10 hour work day. We were on the 2nd floor which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem, except we had upstairs neighbors that were so loud and obnoxious, we finally ended up having to contact management. It was well past ridiculous. Management for us was not management for the room above us so our guys had to get in touch with their guys etc. Eventually it quietened down some. We don't hold the management responsible for that and appreciated that they acted to help us out. I did not include that experience in the ratings. The pictures would indicate that the pier is near the property. I felt really jipped by the suggestive photos as the pier photo is the single one that sealed the deal for me to stay in that condo. The pier is over a mile away on the beach, 2 or 3 by car. I was overwhelmingly disappointed by this but made the best of the trip anyway. I felt as though that picture was a misrepresentation of the property. The wi-fi seems to be throttled back at night to the point that I had to use my phone as a hotspot to finish a movie. Lastly, the parking was insane. There are under building parking spaces, but are not assigned to each condo. So it's a free for all. There was no parking spaces when we arrived so I just had to park in some grass as far out of the drive as possible. Now the good. This condo is in a great location if you want to be sort of away from town and far from the pier. The floors were very nice tile and easy to clean, the rooms spacious and the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. There was a TV in the bedroom which was a plus. The air in the condo was ice cold and felt great on the 90+ degree days. Getting the beach was a very comfortable and easy down the private and locked boardwalk. The pool was clean and refreshing w/bthrms.

Hi Anna,
Thanks for staying with us and for the review. We are sorry to hear of the issues you had with the check in process. We are glad our after hours Manager was able to assist in clarifying how to get settled into your rental. Thank you for your understanding with the upstairs neighbors and we are happy that we were able to help resolve that issue for you. Parking is on a first come first serve basis, over the 4th of July in which you were staying with us we limited parking to 2 spaces per unit to ensure there would be enough room for everyone. We apologize if there was an oversight that led to you needing to park in the grass. The photos on the listing are of the unit, the complex, as well as area photos of the island showcasing popular sites and the beautiful landscape St. Simons offers. We sincerely apologize if you felt the photos misrepresented the location of the unit. We strive to ensure our listings are accurate with detailed descriptions and correct map locations. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and felt the condo was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!
Check-in and check-out process was seamless and great text and email communications. The property met our expectations based on the the listing and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you, we are pleased you enjoyed your visit and hope to welcome you again soon.
The condo was bright, very clean, and beautifully decorated. We loved sitting at the high table on the balcony talking into the night. We ate dinner there two nights with cooked shrimp from Winn Dixie. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the meals. We love walking on the beach and it’s an easy walk to get to the water’s edge. We love this location on our favorite vacation spot.
We enjoyed our stay at ShipWatch. The food at St. Simons restaurants was excellent! Can't choose a favorite, they were all delicious! July 4th fireworks were great! Beach was so nice, even though there were some expected afternoon showers! Just love St. Simons! I

Quick little get away for a family. First time to St Simons
Our arrival started out rough but eventually turned out to be a great stay. The company we rented from sent great instructions and reminders prior to the trip. Unfortunate, they sent the wrong gate code and we couldn’t get in. Of course, we arrived after “office hours” and no one answered the phone. Thankfully, someone staying at the condos, pulled in behind us a half an hour later and gave us the code. When we got into our place, the company had left a reminder card regarding access codes, and they had the right one listed on there. Why was the wrong one sent to us? Anyway, we had questions regarding parking and left a message on their after hours voice mail and no one ever returned our call. There is parking below the complex and wasn’t sure if we could park there if the small front lot was full. Overall, the condo was small but super cute. I would suggest better cleaning under the beds. The washer and dryer was a stackable unit and very small. We could only wash about 4 towels max at a time. We were awaken every morning by a toddler running in the floor above us. No fault of the toddler but not a lot of sound barrier between floors. Condo was a nice walk to the beach and a short drive to the pier. We would stay there again despite the little nuisances we encountered along the way.

Great little "base camp"
Ship Watch was a great place for our "base camp" for a long weekend. For a longer visit, it would have been close to perfect. Far enough away from the Village to be away from the crowds but close enough to easily bike or even walk. Easy access to the beach and while we didn't use it, the pool looked great.
While we didn't do any meal prep - or even eat in the condo - it was fully stocked and would have been more than acceptable for an extended stay.
For a small family, not sure you could beat it.
