A 4x4 vehicle is necessary all year round.

This home produces its own electricity from solar-powered panels and stores excess power in batteries located at the home.

Amazing stay right on the beach! Joel was a wonderful host. He provided insight on the area, made several dinner reservations for us, and organized a tour to Corcovado with a local company. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Cabo Matapalo. The house is great and right on the water. The staff were very helpful with everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful place

The house we rented exceeded our expectations in terms of confort and location. The staff was absolutely wonderful, very helpful, welcoming and available. If your are looking for something remote combining jungle and beach you are at the right place.

It had been 25 years since we had been to Matapalo. It had hardly changed. Place is so amazing.Also Casa Verde is an amazing house. Joel the care taker of the house stays close by and can help you with anything you need. Make sure you take a short walk and a hike to King Loui waterfall.If you want to fish. We scored big time with Donald with Dos Mas fishing charter. Great captain and bigger boat.I can not say enough about how much we loved staying at Casa Verde. Will definitely be back! Pura Vida...

We had a great time at Casa Verde! Beautiful location and our co-host was great. We cooked our meals and appreciated the nicer pots and pans that were available to use. It's certainly not for everyone... no a/c and lots of humidity on the floors and things just stay a little wet in general. We had a great time!

Casa Verde is SUPERB!

Casa Verde was amazing! We had a great time exploring the Osa Peninsula and Gulfo Dulce. We spent 4 nights there and wish we were still there. From the house you can walk along the shoreline, explore tide pools, hike to waterfalls and through jungle teaming with wildlife. Every day we were entertained by monkeys and macaws and every night we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the surf. Carlos is an excellent host, friendly, helpful, and always available.

Slice of Paradise

Casa verde is the perfect jungle house on the beach. Capuchin monkeys and scarlet macaws are your neighbors and you are immersed in the rainforest wildlife. Amazing coffee was provided. I would recommend this home to everyone except i don't want it to be booked up next time i visit! It takes about 30 minutes off the main road in a 4x4 but it is well worth the journey. Incredible home, wish i was still there!

Amazing place at the end of the world. The road was very challenging but worth the drive.

This open air home was immaculate! It was perfectly equipped with incredible cookware, fabulous bathrooms and the roar of the sea. We were prepped to keep all food in a convenient lockable pantry so the monkeys would not steal anything. The monkeys tried but we were prepared. The comfortable beds were screened with overhead fans. Perfect!

Remote & wonderful

We had an great stay at this beautiful cottage near Corcovado National Park! The location is stunning, and the adventure begins with the 4x4 road—it’s part of the experience and well worth it. The house is clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience.Joel was a fantastic host, even going out of his way to pick up a few items for us from Puerto Jiménez—so appreciated! After a day of exploring, the pool was perfect for a refreshing dip, and the Green Egg BBQ made grilling easy since town is a bit of a trek.The nearby Playa Pan Dulce was a highlight, where we swam daily while watching monkeys swing through the trees. We also spotted Agoutis, Macaws, and even an anteater!Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wild, beautiful, and peaceful getaway. Thanks, Joel!

Ein Traum

Die Anfahrt ist sehr beschwerlich und ein SUV muss sein, da das Auto auf der steinigen schon fast felsigen Zufahrt aufsetzt. Die Loction ist wunderschön und näher kann man nicht am Meer wohnen. Sehr viele Tiere auch schon auf dem Weg dahin. Die Betreuung vor Ort war super! Dankeschön an die ganze Familie😀

The end of the road seaside location is divine. The large open air design gave everyone room to spread out. Kitchen well equipped and want we needed the caretaker, Joella, provided quickly. He was so polite, helpful and caring. We really appreciated him. A good place for birdwatching, finding waterfalls and watching monstrous waves crash on the beach endlessly

Wonderful tropical treehouse

Great peaceful place to be. Right on the beach, with wildlife all around. Rocky beach so no swimming but a small refreshing pool. Open house, no AC but fans available, can get warm at night with no breeze. Road in was rustic and bumpy, bring in food and ice. The house lights are weak so bring flashlights or a lantern. Carlos is very helpful and available. Nice experience!

What a beautiful location! The house was clean and Carlos was very helpful and right there if we needed anything! Such a great guy! Only 2 suggestions if you stay here. Bring flashlights, the house is pretty dark at night! Bring lots of ice, there is nowhere nearby to buy it! Would definitely stay here again!

This is the paradies on earth! A wonderful open house right on the beach and in the middle of the jungle. The housekeepers are very friendly and helpful. You definitly need a 4WD to get there. Good surf is near by and we saw alot of animals.

Casa Verde is a must do if you're visiting the Osa Peninsula. The house is beautiful and the location right on the beach is stunning. We had an amazing holiday, saw so much wildlife right on the doorstep and got all of the help we needed from Carlos who was never far away. We'll definitely be back! Screen reader support enabled.
