The house was very clean and comfortable. Good supply of paper products. Keep in mind, this is an older home, some updates to the cabinets and woodwork would help the appearance but it was still. Very clean and comfortable. William was very responsive to any messages.

We stayed at Captain Bill's property in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and it was wonderful. The split level home had everything we needed and was comfortable, safe, and very nice! We appreciated the information provided beforehand and felt like we understood all of the details of the stay. The only challenge was that the keyless entry device did not always lock or unlock on the first try. Beyond that, the stay was amazing.
We stayed a week while we visited family. The home was great for home base now that family is farther apart. We invited sister and family to join for dinner and relaxed in the evenings. The home was clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
My family request this property every year. The host is great with communication and the home is very clean. They love the space for everyone to be comfortable. This is a great place to stay!
This home was clean and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the deck in the fenced-in back yard in the evenings.
The owner was very responsive to my request to get in 1 day earlier then the VRBO site allowed!
It was very nice! Entry and Stairs were hard for our 95 year old mother.

Dated, worn out, dingy… furniture from 70’s…. No hair dryer, soap, shampoo… 3 bottles of water in refrigerator… stained trim beaten up,nothing updated, except carpet in lower level that we didn’t use…. Poor lighting… notified him when I saw no soap, hair dryer…replied no personal item included… . Noticed bag on back porch a day before we left, w old hair dryer, samples of shampoo, and two tiny bars of soap… we had already bought supplied obviously…

Evan, sorry my home didn’t meet your expectations, my home is not a hotel and I don’t feel obligated to supply your personal needs. However, I did try to accommodate you and you complained about that. Furniture is not worn out and dingy, water in the fridge was complimentary. You had many complaints, you also had the option to leave.

Family reunion
The home was nice just needs to be updated. Nice neighborhood I would stay again. Shower door came off in master bathroom almost fell on My mother. But was able to put back on track.
Overall everything was fine. One thing was house was very warm upon arrival. Suggest before guest arrival turn on a/c. Took quite awhile for house to cool down. Other then that everything was good.

Mixed bag--inaccurate listing and was clearly monitored without being told
The house was much larger and comfortable (including more full baths) than listing suggested, and location was excellent for our needs. However, it became clear that our comings/goings were eing monitored by the owner(s) somehow during our stay without our being told, which completely freaked us out. I could not wait to leave.
You couldn't pay me to do business with these people again

Joshua, sorry you seem upset. But,you cannot cancel your reservation the day before check in and expect a refund. Review the refund policy when making reservations in the future.
Nice neighborhood and great location to stay for the weekend of the mopar nationals. Owner was kind to leave us a lemon cucumber which have never heard of or seen before. Nice gesture. The only thing that was a disappointment was there is not a door on the master bathroom so there is no privacy
In general, the property served the purpose of what we needed. We spent a few days there before flying out on Monday for a vacation in Florida. The property was clean but in general need of repair. Heavily scratched woodwork, gas grill didn't work, hot tub had seen better days, general landscaping needed some attention and the deck was covered in ants, which made it difficult to sit at the outdoor patio table for too long. The water heater didn't hold out for four showers...the last to take a shower was met with some fairly chilly water! Having said all of that, the property was clean, located close to grocery stores and restaurants, and was in a quiet and well maintained neighborhood. There were minimal checkout procedures (just take out the garbage and lock up). There are video monitoring cameras positioned on the property. We noticed being monitored a time or two while out on the patio but not much to see from four 60 year old women sitting around talking!
We were in town for my MIL memorial. The house was what we expected . Some of the furniture was nicely updated and we enjoyed the downstairs family room. The master closet was locked so we needed to hang our clothes in the entryway closet. The house was very very warm when we arrived and after traveling for 5+ hours, trying to prep for the next day in a hot house was hard. By time we arrived back after dinner, the house had completely cooled down. I think the high temps were unexpected so the normal temp setting was just too high for that day. The master bed is very soft but we slept very well. Location was convenient to shopping, family and the airport.
Comfortable beds but be very clear about your number of guests
The property was very clean & beds were very comfortable. Keyless entry was very finicky compared to other keyless entries I've used in rental stays. The listing stated it slept 6, so plenty of room for the 4 of us who stayed. I mistakenly assumed the price was the same regardless of number of guests as long as we were less than 6. At the time I booked the listing, it was unclear how many of us would be traveling, so I booked the listing for 2, not realizing there would be additional charges for extra guests. I later shared the listing through VRBO with our extra 2 guests & when I viewed our trip it listed all 4 of us , so I mistakenly thought I had updated our stay to 4 guests. The listing does state "This property is also equipped with external security cameras for your safety.", & apparently the host monitors these during your stay (although that really didn't feel like it was for OUR safety & made me uneasy the rest of the stay wondering exactly where all the cameras were), so additional charges were added to our stay because of the extra 2 people I thought we had already included. That wouldn't have been a huge deal if it was more clearly explained on the listing itself. It stated "Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy" but I couldn't find anywhere on the listing where it stated what property policy was for this house. Clearly listed extra person charges & more transparency about the cameras would be good.

Somewhat Disappointed
It was a hot day and when we arrived it was too warm in the house. It is a split level and it took a few hours to cool the upper floor off where the bedrooms are. The sheets in the master bedroom appeared stained. I found only one fry pan which was cast iron and would normally use but it actually looked a bit damaged on the bottom and it was an electric gas cooktop. I did go out and buy a frypan to use. The master bath toilet clogged twice. The showers could use some soap scum remover. The overall appearance of the home inside is a bit dated. For positives: it was a nice quiet neighborhood, we slept well, the back yard and deck with table and chairs was very nice. The back yard is fenced in for some privacy. It was great to have a driveway to park in. And the price was great.
And to be honest and fair, I would not normally stay in a split level as they are not my favorite layout and I never called the Hosts to discuss any of the issues. I'm sure they would have addressed a couple of these but we were so busy running around during our stay.

Katherine, sorry you were disappointed with your stay. I am also disappointed with your review. If you had issues with the house my contact info was available to you. There are no stained sheets in the house, there is a working A/C in the house, fry pan, dated interior etc. Glad you enjoyed the backyard.
