Lot Valley - Beautiful old residence

A beautiful old house in the countryside on a plot of 2 Ha, in the Lot valley halfway between Cahors and Villeneuve sur Lot.
Lots of space inside and outside, which will delight young and old, the calm in this area with spaced houses, between vineyards, meadows, paths and woods, overlooking the Lot valley.
But we are not lost in the middle of nowhere, 5 kms away, The Montayral-Fumel-Monsempron agglomeration, with its beautiful commercial area where there is everything you need.
Here, we breathe, we take the time, we recharge our batteries, and we drop to local pleasures: the gastronomy of the southwest, the beautiful river Lot, very natural, lakes, hiking trails, heritage, village festivals.
I specify that the internet is accessible in 4G only and not in Wifi.
To make your stay a success, I recommend:
- the visit of the essential Château Fort de Bonaguil
- swimming in the beautiful landscaped lake of Montcuq
- a gabarre or canoe ride on the Lot

C est une maison parfaite pour un séjour au calme en famille avec de la place pour tout le monde en suffisance, la cuisine est immense, la chambre parentale aussi, il y a beaucoup d équipements dont des chaises longues pour tous pour profiter de la terrasse. Le jardin est aussi grand et tout autour et on peut partir en ballade autour avec des belles vues sur le Lot. Deco soignée.

Nous sommes avons été très satisfaits de notre récent séjour à MAUROUX. La maison est située dans un endroit très tranquille (quel plaisir d'entendre les cigales) propice au repos de notre famille et de notre chien. Elle est en outre très bien équipée. Par ailleurs, son emplacement est parfait pour visiter de jolis petits villages et leurs bastides (Lauzerte, Montcuq, Montflanquin etc), admirer le Lot et les nombreuses vignes aux alentours. Bref, nous recommandons !!!!

Très bon gîte, Beaucoup de charme et maison très fraîche pour les grosses journées de chaleur. Le coin est très beau pour des randonnées, baignades. Petits villages proche de la maison pour les apéros gourmands du soir. Accueil très sympa. À refaire.

Location très agréable, calme absolu (sauf les cigales 😁), entourée de champs et de bois. Très bel aménagement intérieur, bien équipé et fonctionnel. Repos très apprécié ponctué de belles visites : Penne d'agenais, Château de Bonaguil, Cahors, Lauzerte ... Quelques baignades dans le Lot ou au plan d'eau de Montcuq On a adoré cet endroit et notre chat aussi 😼

Du charme et du calme !

On a adoré notre séjour. La maison est pleine de charme et fonctionnelle. Le jardin et le terrain autour est immense, on se sent " seuls au monde ", au calme c'est ce qu'on souhaitait. Selon où vous placez les transats vous aurez une jolie vue sur la vallée du Lot, vous aurez aussi des coins ombragés (ouf ! Il a fait chaud !) L'intérieur reste à une température très raisonnable malgré la chaleur. C'était aussi très agréable. Seuls au monde certes, mais proche de la ville avec tous les commerces, comme indiqué sur le site, et Mauroux, pour un tout petit village est vivant et accueillant. Vous serez aussi proches de plein de villages sympas et authentiques à visiter (mention spéciale à Monflanquin, Monpazier, Villeneuve sur Lot et Lauzerte que nous avons particulièrement aimés) et des châteaux impressionnants de Bonaguil, Gavaudin, Biron. Enfin et ce n'est pas négligeable pour nous, on a particulièrement apprécié l'accueil des propriétaires, charmants, qui avaient pris le soin de nous laisser une maison impeccable et qui en quelques minutes nous on fait sentir qu'ils voulaient qu'on se sente bien, beaucoup de prévenance. Bref, on a adoré. Merci :)

Très agréable semaine à la campagne. Le gîte est bien équipé, et bénéficie d'une position permettant de nombreuses activités aux alentours. Parfait avec 2 enfants et 2 chiens !

maison agréable à vivre, simple et dans son jus

bel environnement hyper calme autour de cette maison familiale, avec de beaux volumes et tout ce qu'il faut. Mobilier de jardin un peu trop sommaire. Accueil agréable malgré une arrivée qui nous a donnée l'impression de ne pas être attendus. Mais il faut noter que le produit est très plaisant par rapport à son prix et nous nous y sommes sentis bien.

Genieten in Mauroux

Een heerlijk huis: ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien, zeer rustige omgeving, veel te wandelen en te doen. Heerlijk restaurant in de nabije omgeving: Bistrot du Parc, zeker een aanrader. De wijn van het locale Chateau Latuc zijn ook niet te versmaden 😃🍷 Maar om bij het huis te blijven: wij komen graag nog eens terug!

Très bon séjour en pleine nature

Nous avons passer un super séjour, trop court(1 semaine),dans cette vieille bâtisse pleine de charme ... Endroit très calme et reposant. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des biches, cerf et lapins autour de la maison. Merci à Pierrot pour son accueil , sa gentillesse et ses bons plans... On reviendra dans cette maison.

Fabulous authentic farmhouse, super quiet environment

We were pleasantly surprised by this spacious house. It had lots of charm and it was comfortable for our family. The kitchen in particular was very well appointed and we were wowed by the authentic features. During most of the days and the evenings we sat out on the wonderfully sheltered veranda where the only noises we could hear were from the crickets and birds around us. The house is situated very privately away from the (also very quiet) road, which we loved. We did a few daytrips to the surrounding chateaux and towns and this cool house with its thick walls was always wonderful to come back too.
