Cute, cozy studio cottage in a quiet, gated 5 acres. Cottage has open floor plan. King size bed with sofa sleeper accommodates up to 4 guests. Washer and dryer, WiFi and ROKU available. Large, private back porch makes it the ideal spot for your coffee overlooking the serene wooded area. You'll enjoy sharing your morning with the birds. Bring your pets, they are welcome here! Feel free to walk the 5 acres and play ball with you pets. We provide leashes, a doggie bed, food/water bowls and snacks. We live on the property along with our dogs; Rosita and Hercules. They're both friendly and will also welcome you if they see you! We are located only 20 minutes from central and downtown Austin and only 7 minutes to the quaint little town of Bastrop. Whether you are looking for festivals, arts or the Formula 1 racetrack, there is always lots to do in either direction. When you're done, you will have the peace and quiet of country living to enjoy. Welcome!

Great spot for a show we loved

We ended up staying here for being a great spot for this local show we loved! They were an Australian band and we had a great time enjoying their 3 hour set at the venue they were at. The band themselves are fantastic, and the venue made it that much better. Thanks again for the hosts!

Great getaway

Great stay, private and well set up unit. Perfect for a couple with dog. Close to town of Bastrop which was great. Also close proximity to circuit of Americas. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in town for a race!

Nice little get away

The property was a little farther out (from the main road) than expected. Everything one could need was provided. I would have liked it to be a bit cleaner. Especially the floors. I don't wear shoes in my house nor others and my feet got dirty from the floor. I get that it is a rustic retreat and things get dirty. Overall, nice and peaceful.

Lovely stay

I came for a few nights to visit family in the area and this place was perfect for me. I loved that it was gated, had a quiet back porch, and had all the supplies I needed to make meals. It was tucked away off of the main road and felt very secure. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

A little off the main road but really easy to get to just a few minutes from COTA. Quiet and spacious with comfortable furniture. Balcony is a nice place to sit and relax on. Bathroom mirror was a little low for me but otherwise a fantastic place! Will definitely look to book again next time I'm in Austin!

The location is very close to Austin but without being in the big city! The home is clean and very spacious. We stayed there during Thanksgiving and the kitchen was well equipped to suit our needs as we prepared food to take to my husband’s sisters house. Nice House Near Bastrop

The house is close to Bastrop and is in a quiet neighborhood. The online description was accurate, the house was clean and the owner is very responsive, communications were very good. The house was well furnished, and even had some food, coffee and condiments.

My husband was born and raised in Austin. I was a military brat, being raised in several different places. We both enjoy living in Austin with all it has to offer in entertainment, while also enjoying the quietness of the quaint town of Bastrop. We are a pet family and adore our animals. In our spare time, we love to fish, dance and enjoy music festivals, concerts, etc.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the property in Cedar Creek after looking for land for almost a year! This property is located perfectly between Austin and Bastrop. It's very private, with almost all of our neighbors owning 5 acre lots as well. The houses sit on a hill, so we don't have to worry about flooding with heavy rain storms. The wild animals are plentiful; coyotes, turtles, birds, etc. I love waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning.

What makes this property unique

The cottage has a back porch that overlooks the wooded portion of the acreage. It's very private and relaxing. The open space makes the home feel very cozy and enjoyable. Our guests will love the atmosphere out in the country neighborhood and can unwind after a full day of sightseeing and fun in Austin.
