Our charming Mission Beach House is 65 steps from the sparkling ocean and 1 block from the lovely bay. You can choose to relax on the beach, stroll along the lengthy boardwalk lined with restaurants and shops, or bike for miles along the ocean or bay. We provide complimentary beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. There is a fully stocked kitchen and large deck with plenty of seating and a BBQ to come home to and unwind with your family and friends. 2 car GARAGE PARKING!

The space

This stand-alone home boasts an open layout. 1 master bed/bath downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a large bath. 60 inch 4k TV in the living room and 43 inch TVs in the upstairs bedrooms - all Roku enabled for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO Max, Disney+ enabled. High speed internet is provided. Hardwood and tile floors throughout.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire property including exclusive use of the garage and washer/dryer.

Location

North Mission Beach is a laid back neighborhood that attracts families, surfers, sunbathers and volleyball players.

-Mission Boulevard, right around the corner, is lined with casual cafes and eateries.

-Mission Bay is popular for water sports and stand up paddle boarding is a favorite.

-Belmont Park is just down the boardwalk which families love.

-If you hop in the car, we are a 15 minute drive from major attractions: SeaWorld, the museums in Balboa Park, the world-famous San Diego Zoo, the restaurants and shops in the downtown Gas Lamp District, whale watching trips, dinner cruises, the ferry to Coronado Island and so much more!

Beautiful Beach Home

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay here! The house is as listed, the ac units in the rooms get super cold, it has everything you could need; beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, surf board, sand toys, pop up tent and they supply everything in the unit, soaps, laundry soap, etc. Angela the owner exceeded our expectations and was super helpful and was quick to respond! Highly recommend stay here they have thought of everything and make it so enjoyable! Thank you again Angela!!!

Excellent Host and Great Location!

Angela was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. She was also incredibly flexible and understanding. We had a later departing flight and she allowed us to leave our bags in the garage while cleaning staff were preparing for the next guests. The location was perfect! Steps to the beach and plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. There was also a grocery store and liquor/convenience store within walking distance.

Home Away from Home

This property is located in a wonderful area: close to the beach and nestled between a variety of nice restaurants & coffee shops. The property was very clean and had all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable (COMFORTABLE beds; a well stocked kitchen; everything needed for a relaxing and/or fun day on the beach; ceiling fans/air-conditioning throughout the property). I walked along the Ocean Front Walk daily and was always happy to return to this property.

Perfect location

This was such a beautiful home and the location was near perfect. The front door opened up to an alley way with a restaurant and coffee shop at your doorstep and the beach right there. The bathroom in the en suite was relatively small but was extremely clean. We weren't able to utilise the beach equipment as the weather was not too hot but this would have bene a fantastic addition if needed. The house was extremely clean and we had some fantastic afternoons on the balcony. Thank you!

The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. She made the check in process very smooth. The home was neat and tidy upon check-in and had plenty of houseware items. We enjoyed staying here and it was a minute walk away from the beach!

Everyone had a great time in the house. It is fully equipped. We lacked nothing! So nice to walk a short distance to the beach. We enjoyed the patio and not having to park our car on the street.

Can’t beat the location

The owner let us check in early, which was very considerate. My family was gathering in town for a funeral but having a place so close to the beach/bay was wonderful. We used the rooftop deck several times during our stay. We had guests park at the nearby Aquatic Center a couple blocks away and we’d walk over to meet them. Being so close to the water really helped everyone relax; it’s so beautiful.

Location is everything

We absolutely loved the location. We were easy walking distance to both the beach and the bay— my daughter enjoyed going to both. Pizza shop right next door and lots of food places within a scooter rides distance. Was able to scooter down to Belmont Park too.

Could also use shower caddie in upstairs shower. VRBO description shows ocean view but Sofa in living room was not a sleeper as advertised and no ocean view as pictured in VRBO. Could use drainboard in kitchen sink and shower caddie in upstairs shower. All these items were minor. Beach House was spacious .Wonderfully decorated. We lacked for nothing re: dishes, appliances, toiletries etc. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Why they chose this property

The location of this property is hard to beat. Mission Beach is such a magical place and represents the best of San Diego. It's charming and family friendly with something for everyone. This particular pocket of North Mission Beach is extra special because it's quieter compared to South Mission or Pacific Beach but with all of the amenities you would want. I love laying in the sand and watching the surfers on the ocean side and then being able to pop into my favorite coffee shop, Better Buzz. Equally as fun is playing in the sand on the calm bay side with my 9 month old or paddleboarding as the sun sets.

What makes this property unique

The house is a single family home which is rare in Mission Beach. Most of the properties are condos or town homes so having the privacy and space you need for family and friends is really unique!
