Maui's most exclusive location with the best weather is this award-winning Wailea Resort. Ideally situated just uphill from gorgeous Keawekapu Beach, The Palms at Wailea is an architect-designed, two-story only complex with charming Mediterranean accents and beautifully-manicured grounds, including two lily ponds joined by a charming stream. It's an easy walk to the luxury 'Shops at Wailea and many fine restaurants. Five world-class golf courses and a tennis club are nearby.

Please note that Palms at Wailea no longer allows private grills. There will not be a grill for you to use on the lanai of this condo.

The condo is well equipped and in a great location. Felt our family of 3 (2 adults and a 5 year old) had everything we needed to really enjoy our vacation. The condo complex is well kept with beautiful grounds and a great pool with a view. I appreciated the peace and quiet as it is removed from the busier louder Kihei.

Pleasent and Relaxing

Property was well kept with plenty of everything from beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and stuff to enjoy the beach. Plenty of space for relaxing and a nicely furnished lanai. Ceiling fans and a/c worked well for those occasions you needed a little more comfort. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

The Palms 609

Well maintained and updated property. Nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen. The main issue we had was with road noise as this unit backs on to a busy corner. Could also have used some cleaning supplies for cleaning the kitchen floor, a vacuum is not adequate for this. A spare set of sheets for the bed would also have been nice.

Great stay in Wailea

The property was as described in the listing and more. Clean and comfortable with all we needed for our family vacation. The large lanai with comfortable seating, dinner table and grill were enjoyed in our stay. Unit is a corner side of the property and very private. Traffic noise from street is mostly during weekday commute hours (early mornings and late afternoon), but otherwise we enjoyed more the songbirds than neighborhood noise when seating outside. The location was perfect for our favorite Wailea activities: snorkeling in Makena beach (turtle town), swimming in the pool and sunset walks on the nearby beach boardwalk. We would come back again.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was close to several beaches and areas that we want to frequently visit. The condo was clean and had a great outdoor living space to relax and grill (very nice grill) our dinners. We live in Oregon so it felt a little warm at first inside the living room area without air conditioning, however, the bedroom does have a small air conditioning unit that will keep you cool at night. Most places do not have air conditioning in Maui and you just need to open up your windows early in the morning and later in the evening. We appreciated the beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. There were also beach toys for kids. We’d love to stay here again in the future.

This was a fantastic unit. Everything was practically perfect. Except that the TV is way too small for this modern world - I had larger computer monitors 20 years ago! Also, need towel racks (not just a single hook) in the bathroom...

Misrepresented and NOT Clean

The posting states that the property has air conditioning, but it in reality, there are major limitations on the air conditioning. There is only an air conditioning unit in the bedroom, and you can only use it a couple hours or the AC unit will leak water. The living room and kitchen area had a ceiling fan and one other fan, which was also not included in the posting. I booked this property because the posting said it had air conditioning. My mother does not handle heat very well, so air conditioning is necessary to prevent heat exhaustion. The posting needed to include the limitations of the air conditioning to properly inform guests. If I would have been properly informed, I would not have booked this property. The property also was not very clean. We wiped commonly touched areas upon arrival, and the surfaces were dirty. The kitchen counter had crumbs and food stuck to the counter. There was pubic hair on and around the toilet, which we cleaned up. We also saw several bugs in the approximately 15 minutes we spent at the property. I have stayed at several rental properties in Hawaii, so I am accustomed to seeing bugs and geckos. But I saw more bugs in 15 minutes than I did in my previous week-long stays. We did not inspect the linens or other areas, but there may have been evidence of poor cleaning if we would have looked prior to our departure from the property. Overall, the cleanliness of this property was disappointing. Due to the misrepresentation and lack of cleanliness at this property, we left to find new accommodations approximately 15 minutes after our arrival. We did not stay the night. The primary reason for finding new accommodations was to prevent my mother from getting heat exhaustion during our stay without reliable air conditioning, which was not included in the posting. I contacted the host, but never received a response addressing my concerns. I am disappointed by the host. I will not book another property managed by this host.

I recommend the lanai door be repaired because it is very difficult to lock.

Excellent location!!

We travel to Maui once a year and usually stay at a 5-star luxury resort. This place was an amazing alternative. It was well equipped, really close to the pool, about a 5 minute drive to a great beach, or a 10 minute walk. I loved how convenient it was to park right outside our place. No elevators or COVID Checkpoints to deal with. It was really great. We will stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I were very pleased to find this condo perfectly located, convenient to Wailea Village and restaurants, as well as close to highways for excursions to other parts of the island. The kitchen was stocked with all equipment needed for creation of gourmet meals. Pam was amazed that they even provided a Zester! I enjoyed the Sonos sound system, which made the occasional traffic noise fade away. A few minor hiccups (curtain in living room and dryer not working) were promptly handled by maintenance staff, who were extremely courteous. We enjoyed cruises for whale watching and snorkeling. We were fortunate enough to be there during peak season for Humpback whale watching, and it was an unforgettable experience. We could even see them from Big Beach, which was a beautiful sunset experience. Can't wait to return to Maui, and would definitely choose this unit again!

Beautiful unit

The property was very well appointed, nicely decorated and exceptionally well located. It was in the back corner of the property which forwarded a great deal of privacy but there was also quite a bit of road noise. We actually ran the floor fans which acted as sort of a “white noise“ solution to the problem and we just got used to it. No there was no ocean view from the unit, there was a great one from the pool. The pool area was nice, we did not use the spa. The book library was also a big hit. We could walk to spectacular restaurants and shopping and beautiful beaches. We really liked this spot.

I stayed with my roommate from college and we were looking for a laid back place and we got just that! It is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need. I wish we would've cooked more because it is expansive to eat out in Wailea. The only negative thing about my visit (which we were warned about) was that there were a lot of spiders and bugs.
