Perfect for large families or groups, the remarkable house is a sleek, chic, feast for the eyes. It’s also warm and inviting, each room a charming display of modern aesthetics.

The first level accommodates 13 guests with 5 bedrooms, including a primary suite, king, with a soaking tub and private patio. A guest room, queen, and a second guest room, queen, each have a private bath. A third guest room has a pair of twin bunk beds, while a fourth has bunks and a twin.

Down the hall, cheer for your favorite team in the media room with stadium seating. Or have the kids watch their favorite movie. Upstairs, a primary suite, king, has a soaking tub and an incredible walk-in shower. The second level also hosts the kitchen and living area, with panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Grayton Beach

The house was well located and the living spaces well designed for our family of 11. The large living room with great views was enjoyed as well as the large circular outdoor dining table. The house is worn, but the equipment largely worked and the location and views make up for the age.

Wedding at A-Typical

The property was beautiful to host our daughter’s wedding. We had a couple of maintenance issues and the management company got them taken care of promptly. The management staff was courteous and easy to contact and respond. The maintenance gentleman was extremely nice and capable of repairing our issues. We recommend A-Typical to anyone looking for a beautiful get away or for an event.

Family vacation

The property was great as far as space, cleanliness & location with amazing views. However the kitchen was a little awkward to work in, no upright refrigerator located in the kitchen, only drawers. And some basic kitchen supplies were not present. One thing that really was disappointing was the theater room. It is set up to only accommodate DVD’s which we don’t travel with or even have anymore. My suggestion is to get rid of the outdated projector system & install a new smart tv. We were looking forward to movie nights & never were able to do that in the movie room. We had a great time playing games upstairs in the great room & watching the Olympics anyway. There was a leak in one of the bedrooms & property managers were easy to contact & quick to take care of the issue.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was surprised at how much work needed to be done on the place considering how much we paid for it. It definitely needs to be updated and kept up. The place wasn't as clean as expected either after a $500 cleaning fee. We found 2 leaks in rooms during our stay and some of the doors were hard to keep closed and locked during storms.That being said, the rental company Oversee was very helpful when getting my groceries delivered and packages delivered to their office. Ryan was especially helpful

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Atypical is on a prime corner lot right next to the public entrance of the beach and one block from fun restaurants and shops. The house easily accommodated our group of 16 and provided endless views and amazing family fun. Families should be prepared for lots of stairs, so this might be difficult for very young or senior visitors. Also, the location provides for great people watching, but also means that people are always walking by - it's a tradeoff to consider.Maintenance - A house by the ocean will always require some maintenance, but this one needs some work done to it, nothing that will get in the way of your trip. It's just aging.Cleanliness - The cleaning crew is missing the mark here with the fast check out/check in process and such a large home. They did not do a complete job and we had to clean many parts ourselves to feel certain. I would stay at Atypical again, but this is the one thing I would like to see improved.Comfort - "We never slept better", said every guest in the home. You can't beat that. The living area is also extremely large and spacious and incredibly comfortable.Management Company - Oversee was incredibly responsive. They took great care of us. When we had an issue they were fast to respond and more than accommodating in their triage. The bikes they provide were the icing on the cake.

Overall great location and great views. Somewhat disappointed in some of the items in need of repair for a house in this price range. Many lights burned out, oven in kitchen inop. Just showed a lack of attention to detail. For the price average experience but views and location made up for it.

Strange People, Nice Dogs

We have been vacationing along 30A for many years. Atypical has been the best location and space for our family of #15. Grayton is our favorite beach and the town of Grayton cannot be beat. Everyone was helpful and friendly. You can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, parks and shopping. We had a few minor issues, (as with every beach house we have stayed in), but they were promptly addressed and the Managing company was very helpful and friendly.

We love this location and home so much that this is not our first time staying here. We actually decided at the last minute to arrive a day early and leave a day later than originally planned because we wanted as much time at the house as possible. Property management is always eager to assist and quick to resolve any issues! Thoroughly enjoyed renting through Oversee. The location of the house couldn’t be more perfect and there’s plenty of space. The view is to die for! We are already planning our next trip back!

Extremely Rundown

This property is extremely rundown but it’s a great location. There are more items broken, damaged, molded, chipping than not in this house. The house was NOT clean on arrival, we had to toss 2 garbage bags of items left in and around the home. The fence was broken, 2 toilets didn’t work, grill had food still stuck on it, speaker covers hanging out of ceiling, curtains broken, dining chairs had legs broken, we killed at least 3 roaches, kitchen pots, pans, utensils are all a disaster, the fridge is in the laundry room downstairs, mold on outdoor seat covers, wine fridge was broken, the list is endless. Some things were fixed while we were there but most weren’t. It’s a great location it’s just extremely sad they let the property go, it needs a complete & total overhaul.
