This lovely Nantucket vacation rental is a rambling home in the old historic district. It features wonderful walk to town convenience coupled with the quiet and beauty of Lily Pond Land Trust. It has an updated kitchen with gas range, quartz countertops and all new appliances. A new addition on the back features a living room with wet bar and a second floor Master Suite. Off the master is a private outdoor porch perfect for bird watching over Lily Pond. Outside the living room is a stone patio for al fresco dining. The large well manicured lawn abuts the land trust and is great for lawn games. An outdoor shower is provided close to the house for an after beach rinse. From the indoor dining room an outside porch with umbrella can sit eight for dinner. A Weber grill is available for outside cooking. Parking is available off street in the driveway.

Amazing house

We had a lovely vacation at this home with our 2 young children and my parents. The house was very clean, spacious, and had beautiful decor and Nantucket charm. The kitchen was renovated and had all the conveniences. There were 2 master bedrooms, one with a luxurious spa-like bath, and the other with a lovely little balcony. There was a large den for hanging out, a lovely deck for outdoor dining, and a huge lush yard that borders a park. We were in walking distance to both the beach and town. Steps Beach was a favorite for our family b/c of proximity, and the sandbars and warmer waters. Our young kids are not old enough for biking around town safely, however my husband and I were able to get away and had amazing bike rides on trails to the other parts of the island. We truly loved pristine, beautiful Nantucket--the cottages, gardens, window boxes (Sconcet Bluff Walk, wow!!), the whaling museum, the history-- it is a special place, and we feel thankful for our stay at this property!

Lovely historic home on Nantucket

With 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, this rental property was perfect for our family of 5. It has historic charm with slanted wide-plank flooring, fixtures and such, yet has been modernized in essential ways - bright new kitchen, bathrooms, and a large living room space / addition at the back of the house. The kitchen is fully-stocked and we enjoyed the deck for dinner al fresco a couple nights. We also enjoyed the proximity to town, walking to Brown-Eyed Susan's for breakfast, Juice Bar for ice cream, the book shops, Atheneum, Whaling Museum, and Children's Beach. We were able to walk to Jetties Beach for the 4th of July fireworks - it only took about 20 minutes. Very conveniently located to downtown, yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. Only two suggestions: 1. Would love to see more detailed printed instructions on trash and recycling regulations / expectations, 2. The smaller front bedroom upstairs could use a headboard - since the bed doesn't fit against the wall, my son's pillows fell off the end every night and he was frustrated with that. Overall, we loved the house and property! The communication with the owners and property manager were excellent, and I highly recommend.

Great Nantucket base

Very happy with our stay, house is very well equipped and nice to have access to bikes and beach gear. Good location for town or the beach. Plenty of space for our group and nice big garden out the back.

Perfect family stay

The house worked so well for the three generations staying together. There was plenty of room to have time apart and also large enough areas to be together. Those who wanted to go to town could walk or bike if someone else was out with the car so we didn’t have to overly coordinated with each other. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay!

Amazing home in perfect location

Much better than the pictures. The home has a lot of charm. The kitchen is great, and the back yard is huge and beautiful. Very clean with all amenities. The location is perfect - 10 min walk to town or beaches. Sara was really on top of the communication - all my questions were answered right away. Great stay and we will come back!

Great place and great holiday

This was our first trip back to Nantucket since our two boys were little. Everything about the house was even better than in the listing. Clean, well decorated, kitchen had everything one could need. It ended up being only four of us as my oldest son and his girlfriend could not get away from work. The house really has two master bedrooms out of the four. The bathrooms are all up to date as are all the furnishings. It was easy to feel at home in the house and the yard. We brought our own beach towels but used their beach chairs which like everything in the house were in great condition. Our Dog Millie really enjoyed the yard as well. Great for catching some sun or watching bunnies! Everything from the barbecue to the wet bar in the family room were in good order and easy to use. We would definitely recommend this listing to others.

Excellent location to town and this house had all the amenities for a family of 6 ( towels, plates

This house is amazing! We loved the kitchen and all the amenities it had. We would definitely stay here again.
