This property was excellent for our annual family trip to Traverse City! We enjoyed easy access to everything the area had to offer, being steps away from the TART trail for biking and walking, kayaking on Cedar Lake, and more.
Great stay - the hosts are wonderful. The house was clean, really nice open spaces and kitchen, comfy beds. Really appreciated the location and access to the TART trail as it made walks with our dog easy. The lake is beautiful, peaceful and serene, enjoyed kayaking. Quiet neighborhood - lots of wildlife. Would definitely stay again!
The house is in great shape and bigger than we anticipated. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location is convenient to Traverse City or heading up M22 to other fun towns. The deck with the lake view is incredible and you’re literally steps from the Leelanau bike trail.
This house was amazing in every way! Beautiful views, lake access, yard games, fire pit and kayaks for outdoor family fun. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and all the comforts of home. Better than expected! Perfect for families.
Our family of six really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Lake. The house was very clean and well equipped, and the owners were super responsive to any questions and provided all of the basics. We look forward to returning for another summer trip.

Brad was great to work with and left our home clean and tidy. They are welcome back anytime.
This lake house is phenomenal for groups. Plenty of space, bathroom, and amenities. The surrounding area is also stunning. It sits on a very low traffic lake, which leads to amazing views. I can't recommend this property enough!
Our stay at the Cedar Lake house was perfect for our family getaway and fishing charter. The views to the lake are stunning and the house is beautifully furnished. We enjoyeed grilling, and the guys caught a few fish off the dock! Wish we could have stayed longer!! Thank you for providing such beautiful home to share.
This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view of Cedar Lake. The kitchen has an amazing view of the lake with a high top table to enjoy dinner. The location is close to downtown yet quiet and secluded. Very close to the bike trail. We had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you for opening your home to visitors.
We booked this house for my Brother In Laws wedding. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we wanted, so would look to come back! The house had a lot of space for 5 adults and one infant. Easy check in and check out process. Would definitely recommend this house if you are visiting the area!
We loved this home and can’t wait to return! The view is unbelievable! Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Very comfortable bed and living room. We went kayaking and had a bonfire. It’s close to everything we wanted to do in the area! An absolute gem!
We’ve stayed in many up north vacation rentals, and none compare to this perfect house on Cedar Lake! The property exceeded our expectations in every way - in size, comfort, amenities, VIEWS! The hosts were quick to communicate, hospitable, helpful and kind. With so much to do around Traverse City and up the peninsula, our kids never wanted to leave the house and the lake. We hope to be back next summer, if not before!
Spacious house with full upper and lower living areas. The upper kitchen that we used is well-equipped. Beautiful view of the lake from the back of the house. Great deck. Patio near the dock with a huge fire pit where we spent the evenings enjoying the weather and beautiful star-filled sky. Great location. Not far from Sleeping Bear Dunes and lovely wineries. Thanks to Maude for a very memorable stay.
Comfortable Home in a perfect location with a great view
We had a fantastic family vacation at Maude's home. It was my husband and I, and three grown children/inlaws.The house has a great layout for everyone and the four bathrooms with the four bedrooms is hard to beat. The view from the deck or pier is so relaxing. The house is in great condition and has everything you'd need. We love that it was outside of downtown TC but still so close to all the wineries and the bike trail. We even got to enjoy Cedar Lake's fireworks over the lake in the most comfortable setting with a fire going. Great family memories were made here. Highly recommended.
We decided, somewhat impromptu, to book a stay in Traverse City with our kids and Australian neighbors, who had never been up north, and we were absolutely thrilled Maude's house was available! The layout was perfect for two families with small kids b/c each family could have a level of the home for various bedtimes. The view is unparalleled, and after arriving late in the evening on Thursday, it was the most beautiful site when we woke up early Friday. The kids loved running in the yard, we explored the lake on the kayaks provided, and couldn't believe the clarity of the water to spot the fish. It was peaceful at all hours of the day, and we enjoyed the cool nights on the deck, and the fire pit one night as well. My husband and I already decided we want to return for a week to truly sink into the beauty around the property and the area in general. Thank you for offering your house to families - the memories created there will be lasting!

Amazing home on Cedar Lake and right next to the Tart Trail. House was exactly as described and a wonderful last minute weekend away with the family before the school year. Would definitely book again.
Our stay here was nothing short of fantastic. Everything from communication before to the actual listing itself. Quiet Location at the end of a dead end street. The water in the back yard was beautiful and peaceful. The property was clean and accurately described. My only complaint is the master bedroom mattress is quite squishy and I prefer something more firm. Highly recommend this listing and hoping to be back again next summer!
My family and I enjoyed a relaxing week at this property. The home had everything you could imagine available to make your stay perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels in the bathrooms, and the property was immaculately clean! Cedar Lake was quiet and calm. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking with hardly any boat traffic. We did rent a jetski for one day from Aussie Watersports and had lots of fun with that. We visited Good Harbor Bay Beach twice to swim in Lake Michigan (about 25 minutes away). We bought all of our groceries from Tom's Market which is a short drive away. The Leelanau Trail is adjacent to the property which makes easy access for walking and biking. You do not notice that the trail is there though as there is a thick tree line that makes for nice privacy while enjoying the yard/lake. We also enjoyed the ping pong table in the lower level. My 2 sons are hockey players and enjoyed the Red Wing décor! This is a lovely bi-level home that makes a wonderful setting for a family get away. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
What an exceptional home and property! Maude's place offers everything you could hope for to make a lake house family vacation unforgettable. We had such an amazing stay--swimming in the lake, enjoying meals on the deck, and walking the Leelanau Trail every day. The house is extremely spacious and thoughtfully designed for a larger group: three bedrooms and a fourth space with bunk beds that could be used as a bedroom, four full bathrooms, an outdoor deck and living room with television on each floor, an open kitchen / dining area that shares with the upper deck an *extraordinary* lake view, a wet bar and washer & dryer on the lower level, and a large yard wrapping around the house that leads out to the fire pit, patio seating, and swimming pier on Cedar Lake. There is so much to do in Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula, but we spent a substantial portion of our trip just savoring our time at the house, which is situated at the very end of a quiet residential street, abutted by trees and with direct access to the paved Leelanau Trail (perfect for walking and biking) and to the jewel of this property, Cedar Lake. The lake is literally right in the back yard and it is stunning. We swam several times a day; the water was clean and clear and the temperature consistently delightful. The house comes with everything you need to enjoy the outdoor space: kayaks and floating devices for the water, wood for the fire pit, swimming towels, and plentiful patio chairs and chaise lounges (if you're traveling with kids, there are also bikes for children and teenagers). We were so grateful to be able to bring our dogs, who delighted in the property as much as we did. Maude's communication was always clear and welcoming, and we were given complete privacy during our stay. We are so grateful to have stayed here. It was a perfect spot for a quiet lakeside vacation, yet with quick access to all that Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula have to offer. So many wonderful memories. We hope to return. VERY highly recommended!
Amazing house with a great view of Cedar Lake! Minutes from downtown TC!
Open layout on the main/top floor with an amazing view. Fire pit for s’mores and plenty of chairs! Loved the access to Bike trail right by house…perfect for walking, running or biking! My son loved fishing off the dock! Lots of outdoor activities available in garage! A great place to stay for a few days or a week! The location is ideal…minutes to downtown TC.
