Lovely 3 bdr/3ba in Sapphire, with high & long golf & mountain views

This beautiful home is a rare find as it features an inviting interior in a desirable location where it is always cooler than other areas due to the mountain elevation over 3200 ft... The "no steps " entrance to the home features a king size bedroom on main floor with two full baths , a king-size bedroom downstairs with a bath and utility room. There is an loft with twin beds which is ideal for one to two children. In the beginning of 2020 we had the adjoining bath to the bedroom on main floor completely renovated with a walk-in tiled shower, new higher vanity, new flooring and comfort toilet in all of the baths. Wood floors, high ceilings, comfortable & stylish furnishings make this home so desirable. The kitchen is fully equipped and, while the appliances are older they are very clean and work beautifully for those who enjoy cooking . There is a wrap-around deck on the main floor with comfortable deck furniture and new gas grill. There is a private balcony off the downstairs bedroom with additional seating. It is the ideal spot for mature adults who love nature, the outdoors & enjoy cooler temps during the summer months and beauty of nature without having to endure difficult drives. Plus you have access to the many wonderful Sapphire Valley Resort facilities including, pools, tennis, golf, fitness center and Lake Access. The resort provides day trips to nearby areas of local interest. There is a very inexpensive fee ( $2.00 per day per person) that guests pay to enjoy these features. The shopping and dining are just wonderful in the immediate area. It is about a 5-10 minute drive into Cashiers and a 20-30 min drive to Highlands .State parks & waterfalls are within very close proximity. It is about 1 hr. drive into Asheville. This is an ideal vacation area and spot that you will want to continue to return to again and again.

I had great experience here place was perfect and clean and location was out of this world.

I give this place 5 🌟 rating you could not ask for better place or location and owner was great she answered all are questions in matter of minutes and I would recommend anyone to stay here you will never want to go home..we will be back for sure..

Very nice Villa for 2 or 4 guests

This Villa is very conveniently located in Sapphire Valley with a nice golf course view. While being compact in size, it has two very good size bedrooms with king size beds. Nicely updated interior .

Summer Getaway

This property was perfect for our two weeks stay in the mountains. Everything was as advertised in the listing. Barbara was the greatest host that we have encountered in our many stays at various locations. I highly recommend this property to anyone coming to this area and if we come again next year we will definitely want to stay here.

This place is a gem!

This property is lovely! Sits on a golf course. Outdoor space is wonderful with lots of seating, grill and countertop and sink. Indoor space is lovely, immaculate, everything in working order. Absolutely everything you need to prepare a meal in the kitchen. We'll be back next summer!

Mountain Magic

The villa was situated overlooking a sloping mountain golf fairway. The house was fully equipped with 3 inviting bedrooms, 3 baths. A wrap around deck overlooks the golf fairway, complete with deer and bear sightings and very hungry, combative hummingbirds. Very quiet, serene. Wonderful options for dining out in Cashiers, membership to the Sapphire pool complex included, a wonderful General Store with fresh tomatoes, peaches and corn and a warm welcome from all the staff and clerks at restaurants, gift shops, etc. A day trip to Highlands with lunch is a must. Mountain thunderstorms are fascinating, especially with the view from this villa. You will lack for nothing in this home. We did bring our Alexa Show and tuned into the local ‘soft and easy’ station. Kudos to Barbara—a wonderful hostess who delivered with 5 stars a wonderful, relaxing vacation for us.

Great Vacation Rental

Too many nick-nacks

The Villa was great, but the the owner had so many nick-backs sitting around that we were afraid we would knock some over and break them. The nick-nacks cluttered up the Villa rather than enhanced the appearance of the Villa. Otherwise, it was very nice and a great location.

A true jewel-This property is fabulous- beautifully decorated and totally updated. Well stocked and everything you need for a great visit. Location is ideal with porch overlooking golf course and lake out the front door. Owner is so helpful and quick to respond-

Beautiful Mountain Townhome

Barbara's home was the perfect place for our family getaway last week. A great 3 level townhome with golf course and mountain views, comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen tools and a great gas barbecue grill on the wrap around deck made for a wonderful stay. We loved the location - a 10 minute drive to Ingles and Cashiers and less than 5 minutes to the amenities at Sapphire Valley Resort and Sapphire National Golf Course. Barbara was very accommodating and promptly replied to any questions I had. We hope to visit again soon!

Family vacation

We’ve been coming to this area for 30years with our children and now grandchildren. Great beautiful relaxing spot on the golf course. Saw lots of birds,beaver, deer and a black bear twice. Awesome time with the family.

Fall mountain getaway

Barbara's Villa provided the perfect mountain getaway for my family. Her home is beautifully decorated and offers a gorgeous view of the golf course and surrounding trees. With 3 children, we loved the included amenities (for a small $2/day fee) to the recreation center where we enjoyed the indoor pool and putt putt putt golf course. Her home is also conveniently located near a grocery store and a few restaurants. You will love your stay here!

Exactly as expected

The villa was very comfortable for our family of 5, with each bedroom on a separate floor we had privacy when we wanted it, but enough common space to be together too. It's perfectly situated with the golf course in front and lake behind. So, sitting on the deck with a view of the fairway, listening to the tumbling brook next door was a relaxing zen-like experience! We loved the amenities of the resort: golf, fishing, kayaking & paddle boarding, 'beach' at the lake, swimming pool and mini-golf...all for a very reasonable daily fee of $2 each. There's also great hiking trails within a short drive. At the end of a day doing these activities it was wonderful to return to the quiet, coziness of the villa for dinner, board games or a movie and then sleeping in a comfy bed. The villa is exactly like the pictures and just what we needed. We look forward to returning!

I have been coming to the Sapphire area for many years but always as a renter. Originally, from New Orleans, we live in Jacksonville, Florida where the summers are very warm. I rented Villa 1 for several years for the month of August until the owner sold it last summer. I loved the convenience of the location and found that #3 was on the market. The views from this unit were just lovely and the floorplan was workable . My husband and I purchased the unit and have spent months redoing it to our tastes and needs. I think we have achieved a good balance of comfort and attractiveness. I have decorated the unit with many personal items as I wanted it to feel like a home and not just a rental unit. I hope that you will find the views and the unit a place that you will want to return to again and again.

Why they chose this property

Being from flat land, I find many of the mountain homes in the area are intimidating due to the steep drives and rather frightening accessibility. My unit is easy to drive in to with no steep inclines plus the parking is right on each side of the unit with literally NO STEPS to enter unit. The main level goes (both front and side) right out to the wonderful wrap around deck with gorgeous views of the 13 th fairway of the golf course.a stream, and mountain . There are 2 very large bedrooms with king size beds and a very cute loft on 3rd floor which is really good for an older child or children as it has 2 twin beds up there . There is no bath up there ,however, there are 2 full baths on the main floor. The other wonderful feature of this home is that you can walk out you front door and go across the street to the lake or walk through the woods on some great level walking trails. I love that feature of my location.

What makes this property unique

Quiet, wonderful views, close to many many natural attractions plus wonderful shopping , and good restaurants. I could just sit for hours on my deck watching the birds and many critters down below on the golf course in the late afternoons. If you are a golfer, you will enjoy watching players attempt this very difficult hole. Oh. and when I walk in the evenings on the cart paths around course, you can always find golf balls that the golfers have lost. We even still have 'fireflys" here which I love to watch in the early evening. I also love the boutique shopping in this area- no matter how long I stay here , I never get around to seeing all of the shops in the Cashiers and Highlands areas.
