About this property

Houseboat at Venice Marina (Front Row View) w/ Ice Machine

You won't be disappointed with this newly renovated house boat at Venice Marina. This humble abode contains everything you will need to have an amazing trip to Venice, from leather relining sofas to an outside freezer for bait or fish storage.

The houseboat can sleep 8 people comfortably with 2 queen beds (bunked) and 4 XL twin beds (bunked). The bed frames are hand made from solid wood, ensuring your safety and comfort. Every bed is furnished with new memory foam mattresses to ensure a good night's sleep after a great day of fishing. Linens, pillows, and comforters are all provided. There are two separate AC units for the houseboat, so you will never have to break a sweat while staying at McHooves'.

The kitchen contains brand new stainless steel appliances complimented by new cabinetry. All the amenities of home will be right at your finger tips - oven/stove, refrigerator & freezer, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, kitchen utensils and silverware, stocked knife butcher block, and more!

The house boat contains 2 separate bathrooms to ensure there is never a line for the bathroom after a long day. The. half bath was a new addition from the previous owner. The full bath contains a full size shower, toilet, vanity, along with a stackable washer dryer (incase you forgot to pack enough clothes, we understand). The hot water heater is tankless, so cold showers are a thing of the past for the last few in the shower queue.

There are two couches accompanied by a large coffee table and side table. The couches are reclining sofas for maximum comfort when you unwind for the day. A TV was a must, so no one ever has to miss an LSU or Saints game. (All fans are welcome at McHooves' though).

The house boat provides ample outdoor space with a front and back porch. The front porch contains an ice machine, a propane grill and a fish cleaning table. Don't forget to park your boat right out front the house boat or simply ask your charter to pick you up at the front door! The back porch is currently open for all actives. A large empty dock to drink some beverages and hang out, or simply use for storage, the options are endless.

Came in on Sunday for a week fishing trip we do every year. First time staying on house boat in Venice Marina but won’t be the last. Property was clean and comfy with instant hot water and nice beds. Docking the boat up to the front of the house made leaving and returning from fishing an excellent experience and the filet table out back was great as well. The only negative was that the ice machine was gone as the owner had taken it for repairs Called the owner about the ice machine and he immediately stepped up and said he would reimburse me for all my ice which he did by Zelle after we checked out. Overall a great stay and we will be back next year.

Place was very good for a nice fishing trip. Had a couple issues, the cleaner forgot to come by the day before, but the owner fixed that quickly and the cart to carry all your things to and from the car had flat tires. Overall a good pick for our trip.
