About this property
THE MEETING HOUSE in the centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed
A superb, contemporary apartment in the centre of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed with excellent amenities and the stunning beaches of the Northumberland coast on the doorstep.
A contemporary apartment in the centre of a historic town
The period building, a former City Electrical factory, has been renovated to a very high specification by the renowned eco construction company Maden Eco. The contemporary design skillfully maintains the integrity of the building with period details including the superb domed windows and original beams retained as quirky features.
Inside the apartment is exceptionally light and bright and furnished in soft, muted tones in keeping with the fresh, contemporary restoration of the building and the seaside location. Vibrant fabrics and the owners’ delightful collection of local artwork bring splashes of colour and sit alongside quirky objets d’art and renovated period furniture sourced from the good selection of antique and restored furniture shops in the town.
The apartment is on the third floor with views across the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. There is a lift up to the apartment in addition to stairs and the accommodation is all one floor and therefore suitable for less mobile guests.
