We were delighted with the house. Very warm and welcoming with Xmas decorations and tree up for us arriving. Well equipped kitchen and everything spotlessly clean. There were 10 of us family members and didn't feel crowded at all. Would recommend for stays in the area for bigger groups.
Wonderful home for weeks holidaying in the Borders
House was fantastic base for our holiday with extended family (5 adults, 5 kids plus a dog). Wonderful spacious rooms so everyone had their own space to relax/play etc, didn't feel we were in top of each other even with such a large party of mixed age ranges. Kitchen a fantastic communal space with everything you need. Bedrooms very comfy and excellent en suite facilities upstairs. Kids and adults all enjoyed the games room - we had traditional Scottish summer weather (rain!!) so great to have that on site to help burn of some energy with a pingpong or pool competition before bed!! We enjoyed walks straight from the garden to the near by woods and even just along the relatively quiet lane roads, it's a very peaceful area with stunning views. Owners are close at hand and very approachable if needed but very unintrusive...though my kids loved meeting farmer John.
Overall highly recommend and we'll definitely be back.
Loved the house, plenty room for everyone the only down side and it was a massive down side for us was the garden is advertised as secure but it actually has a very large open gate that small dogs can escape through so whilst it's secure for large dogs it's not for all dogs and I booked the property thinking my dogs would be secure and they had to be monitored the whole time which was difficult because the garden had 2 escape routes either side of the house , there was a small side gate also for escapism and I had 3 small dogs to watch constantly so it definitely made the week more difficult than we had planned. They need to change the wording on description I wouldn't have booked if I had known my dogs were not safe it's a lot of money to constantly worry about their safety
