The Blue Pearl: 3 - Bedroom Executive Class Villa
Welcome to the Blue Pearl, one of three 4.5 star vacation homes located on a scenic 50-acre, `Stay & Play` oceanside destination with a stunning, secluded sandy beach. The villa`s open-concept design, amenities, ocean views and deck makes it ideal for a family or two couples.
A great base for exploring Cape Breton - Located just 30 minutes from Cabot Cliffs golf course, a scenic 1-hour drive from the Cabot Trail and 5-10 minutes from the restaurants, live music, beaches and shops in Port Hood and Mabou.
If enjoying Cape Breton’s natural beauty in comfort and style is important, then you have come to the right place.
This luxurious, 3-bedroom vacation home is packed full of modern amenities including, a well-equipped open-concept kitchen (with an island, bar stools and premium stainless-steel appliances), air conditioning, satellite TV, a laundry center and ocean views from every room. During their stay, guests can visit stunning Colindale Beach, located an easy 8-10 minute stroll along our scenic nature trail which winds through a vibrant field of wildflowers, past a shimmering freshwater pond and over emerald green sand dunes. This gem of a beach has warm swimming waters in summer and ideal conditions for cold plunging in the spring and late fall. Unwind in one of our beach chairs, soothed by the sound of crashing waves and the fresh sea breeze. A romantic setting for many wedding proposals, the beach is perfect for leisurely walks, sea glass hunting, meditation, refreshing swims, or photography—especially in the early evening when the western sun illuminates the deep blue sea, waves, and dunes in a magical way. The sunsets here are world class.
Location wise, we are an easy 5-10 minute drive from the shops, restaurants, and 5 sandy swimming beaches in Port Hood, which is well-known for its warm waters, music festivals, great seafood, fishing charters and warm hospitality. Meanwhile, we are about 10 minutes from picturesque Mabou which has restaurants with local fiddle music, groceries and miles of sensational hiking trails (up to and along Cape Mabou which features breathtaking views of Cape Breton`s rugged coastline, cliffs and beaches below).

We're glad you were able to enjoy the property. Thank you for your stay, for being respectful guests and for the feedback.
We did want to add some context for future guests regarding the nature trail. The grass and gravel trail is fully established and is generally beautifully maintained — it winds from our various villas down to the beach and often draws nice compliments from our guest. Unfortunately, our region experienced an unusually heavy stretch of rainfall in the two weeks leading up to your visit and this unfortunately left some muddy patches along the path. We are sorry if the trail did not look complete.
With the extreme rain behind us and summer fast-approaching, the nature trail should be back to normal within a few days. Additionally, we are in the process of building a separate access road to the beach so guests will have the option to drive a vehicle to within a few hundred feet of the beach and avoid wet spots if they arise.
A wonderful place for our family vacation. The beach was quiet and beautiful, and easy access to nearby towns. Villa was clean and had epic views and sunsets.
We had a lovely stay. The beds were very comfortable...a beautiful deck overlooking the water. We took a twenty minute walk down to the beach. A relaxing place to stay while exploring Cape Breton

Hi Chris - Thanks again for your stay and for being outstanding guests in all ways! It was a pleasure to host you all. For the benefit of our readers, the distance to the beach via our groomed nature trail is approximately 600 meters. Walking times vary. Fast walkers can get there in under 10 minutes while others take longer, especially if they stop for photos.
Comfortable, well maintained residence in an amazing location.
Very comfortable and well maintained residence in an amazing location. Host was very accommodating, and communication was prompt. Would highly recommend this VRBO.
We had a great time the place was very clean and easy access to all activities. Michael was great to work with. So nice having easy access to the beach. The place was stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property. Walk to the beach, lots of hiking close by
We recently spent 5 days at this lovely property! The house was immaculate and fully equipped. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening bbq’s on the large sun deck as well as the very peaceful private beach, which is located about a 5 min walk away down a pathway from the house. Perfect vacation getaway!
Clean, well-stocked, beautiful views. The “beach” wasn’t easily accessible, but that wasn’t a necessity for us. The owner was more than cordial and helpful with local information.
We absolutely loved our stay at this quiet and beautiful property! Modern, clean and spacious house. The grounds and private beach were surreal! Where else can you have a picnic on the ocean beach with just your family? Michael is a wonderful host and he communicated with us daily to make sure we have everything we needare comfortable ad
This property is quiet, peaceful and beautifully appointed. A short walk to a private beach on groomed trails makes one feel it is done only for you. Other houses are also located on the property but are out of sight from each other offering privacy. The house is comfortable with everything needed for the best of stays. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a retreat with easy access to the rest of Cape Breton.
Owner and property were excellent. Accord were great. Only complaint would be about how far it is from the beach and ocean, but that is not a major issue for us. Great experience. Thanks

Thank you for your stay. It has been a real pleasure to host your group.
Many thanks for your feedback. While the beach is indeed a 5-10 minute walk from your villa, its worth highlighting to readers that many guests thoroughly enjoy the peaceful walk along our groomed nature trail which features a lush meadow, wild roses, as well as captivating views of our pond, the ocean and an occasional eagle or deer. Guests wishing to shorten the distance to the beach or visit the beach frequently are welcome to park in our dedicated guest parking stall located at the beginning of the nature trail. I am sorry if that was not clear to you during your stay.
Again, we appreciate you choosing to stay with us.
I would rate this property over a 5 if I could! Beautifully decorated, spotless, comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful view of the coast and access to a private beach. Property felt new. Owner was very easy to work with. Best Rental experience we’ve had.
The cottage was spotless and located just outside of Port Hood, long coastline and boardwalk.
The cottage has it's own beach, very clean (new building) kitchen was well equip, dishwasher, 3 bedrooms, with comfortable beds, two bathrooms (ones an ensuite), huge deck with BBQ and a table with seating for 6. WiFi was good, TV with satiate.
Clean and relatively new this unit offers 3 bedroom and 2 baths with high ceilings and large outside deck. The host was very attentive and helpful.
The only draw back was a perception that the cabin is close to the beach/ocean. It offers access to the beach via 5-7 minute walking path and the beach is sandy, wide and private.
Overall lovely unit for entertaining and visiting the local Cabot Trail.

Thanks Bruce for your stay, for your review and for leaving the property in excellent shape.
While the beach is currently accessible via the the groomed nature trail (which many guests enjoy), we plan to build a short, private lane which will give guests an option to drive a vehicle and park within about 100 meters of the beach beginning in 2025.
Thanks again for your stay. We'd be pleased to host you and your group again.
This property was immaculate and had a lovely pastoral location with views of the sea.
We loved the walking trail to the private sandy beach.
The owner was quick to respond to questions.
We had dear and bunnies in the yard each day and had no visibility if the other rentals on this large property.
Highly recommend biking the Celtic trail with Mikes Bikes enike rentals. Also loved our hike at Egypt Falls and dinners and music at the Red Shoe pub
