We had a wonderful vacation at River Rush!! The location on the river is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The main road is very busy, but you honestly don't pay attention to the noise.
I'm really sorry that you booked this cabin and then had buyers remorse right before the trip and when you weren't going to receive a refund you never showed up. You have no clue what the cabin looks like because you were never there. The cabin actually has all new appliances since those photos and the view off the back dock is even better than the photos. VRBO has already been contacted about your actions. Owners Beware!!!
I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights in this wonderful cabin, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and well-appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the hot tub and how secure the area felt when locking the doors at night and when we went into town. The location is fantastic, providing a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to local attractions and activities. Overall, my stay at this cabin was great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Great little place to stay. Pigeon Forge, gatlinburg all easily accessible. Great cabin feel without having to twist and turn for miles through mountain roads. Plenty of eating places nearby in Sevierville if you did not want to venture too far out Loved the back porch and swing with view of the river. Traffic noise was a little loud but that was a small minus, threw on some earbuds and it was not an issue. Tim was a great host. Would love to return to this cabin.
Great for a couple. I didn’t like the lack of privacy for the bathroom. (Toilet and bed are separated by a curtain only) The jets in the tubs had black gunk around them so we didn’t use it. Location is good other than being on a main road with heavy traffic. Can hear all the cars and see headlights coming in. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Other than that it was a great little get away for the price. Not too far from main attractions.
My wife couldn't take a jacuzzi tub bath because the hot water didn't stay hot enough to go over the jets. We took this cabin because of the location and creek and etc. I was just wondering if we could get a some of a refund because of this reason. Also just wondering when the deposit will come off.
BEWARE: the only accessible part of this cabin is the front door.
Once we entered the cabin, we couldn't get the wheelchair to the bed our bathroom, because of the narrow passages. We immediately left and contacted our host via text and he would not agree to any amount of refund. Needless to say, we do not recommend this cabin.
i was most excited about the heart shape bath tub but was unable to use it. the water turned cold before it could even reach the jets.
i thought the bathroom would have a door, but you just have a curtain.
the host was very nice, i hate to leave a bad review but i wouldn’t want anyone else to not know these things before renting the property.
overall we had a really good trip, just let down about the bath tub situation
Very clean and cozy cabin. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the river. Only downside is the busy road. Property owner is very quick at responding . I would stay here again and plan on coming back soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Great little cabin
The cabin was awesome, really enjoyed the coziness of it. The only downfall was the traffic. The description stated that it was off a main highway but didn’t state that it was probably less than 20 ‘ from the edge of the pavement. Traffic count is around 10-20 cars a minute. And it doesn’t really slow down that much at night. Sorry Tim but the quiet relaxing sleep and peace we were looking for is impossible with that traffic.
Everything on the listing is accurate, and the cabin itself is great. The view across the river is really hard to beat, the fireplace was wonderful for our winter visit, and the hot tub made relaxing very easy. Getting to the Pigeon Forge attractions is very convenient. We had great communication with the host, and he set us up for a very relaxing and enjoyable trip.
But, the cabin is directly off of a fairly busy road, so you don't get the peace and quiet of the mountains.
My daughter and I have been traveling to the area at least once a year since she was 3 years old. This is our happy place away from home.
Why they chose this property
Since purchasing it here are some things we have done to what is now known as River Rush:
Stained and painted the entire exterior, added a firepit, built a stairway down to the lower lever for easy firepit access, upgraded to a flattop stove, added an over the stove microwave, upgraded the vanity sink, changed out all of the wall décor, transitioned the electric fireplace to a gas burning log fireplace, added a king bed and sleeper sofa with all new bedding, added an out door grill, and several other smaller upgrades as well.
In the future some of the plans we have are to build a wall with a door between the living room and bedroom, build a wall with a door between the bedroom and bathroom, completely remodel the bathroom, and build a spiral staircase down to the current unfinished basement and add a second bedroom and game room.
We hope you enjoy your stay at River Rush and you come back to visit again soon. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, or questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
