This house was absolutely perfect! We were there at the end of July and the house stayed cool. The location is perfect sitting at the end of the street. The entire layout of the house was perfect for us and just a few minute walk to Main St. it was very clean and updated beautifully.
Dawn was fantastic and was very quick to respond to any questions I had. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Great views of downtown Deadwood and surrounding hills, the home was beautifully updated. Super clean, plenary of room and top notch amenities throughout. The front porch and top deck were perfect for relaxing with morning coffee and evening cocktails.
Everything was easy about this house, down to how close it was to Main Street deadwood! The only thing that was a surprise was the stair to take up and down from the house to main st. There are a lot of them and if you do it a few times you will be sore!
We had an excellent time at the Double Down house! This was our second time staying, and we loved sitting on the deck and listening to the concert at Outlaw Square. The only thing that could make it better is a hottub on one of the decks! Overall, a great house with a great hostess, Dawn answered any and all questions and was very willing to work with us. We can’t wait to come back!
The property is difficult to get up to, especially when it is slick out. We do not recommend if you are planning to drive up and down the driveway several times. But great walking distance from everything and large enough to accommodate our group! We really enjoyed the stay.
This property was beautiful inside with an amazing view. The hike from downtown back to the property was a challenging, but we found a cab ride was worth it!
Absolutely stunning views, home, and stay! So clean, and very nicely staged for a wonderful stay! We will be back! The Double Down house was, and will be our first choice every time!
The house was amazing for our group! We utilized every inch of that house and have zero complaints!
However, the driveway is something else! We came on motorcycles and fancy ourselves to be highly experienced, but the trek up that hill with a switchback curve and a combination of concrete and gravel definitely made our rear ends pucker a bit. If in a car, you’ll be fine! Bikers, be very careful!!!!!
Loved, loved, loved the home!
This home is a gem in Deadwood. It is nicely remodeled and accommodated 7 of us as we were in the area for a family wedding. My daughter actually looked up the history of the property and found pictures of what it looked like in the past....all we can say is wow! The kitchen was very nicely stocked with everything we needed to make a few meals too. Thank you for sharing your property with us.
This home is a gem, just as my title says. I appears to be pretty newly remodeled, and so tastefully done. The view of Deadwood was awesome. We were there over the 4th of July weekend, so we also enjoyed concerts playing in Deadwood from our deck! It had everything we needed for 5 adults and all was in working order. The AC did a great job too! The beds are very comfortable. The bath towels are nice quality. At first it is a little intimidating driving up the narrow road/driveway. But, don't let that intimidate you. We got the hang of it and the view makes it all worth it.
I had a few random questions for Dawn, one of the owners. She was very quick to respond, which I appreciated.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The house was great! The road up the hill was an adventure. No problems just narrow roads and straight up the hill. Walking distance to Main Street Deadwood. We will definitely rent the house again.
This property was in a great location for our family coming from CO, SD & IA. We were able to do several things within an hour of Deadwood. The house was very clean and nice. Close enough to downtown...but yet far away from others. Would highly recommend this place.
All 8 of us had a GREAT time! Easy access to downtown without having to drive. The place was absolutely perfect for coffee in the morning on one deck and happy hour in the evening on the other. Thank you for a fabulous place to stay and make many memories! We will be back!
We rented the house for an end of the school year trip for us teachers. The owner was so accommodating to us changing our dates, and allowing for an easy check in and check out. The house was beautiful, as was the location. We loved the vibe and decor of the house, and the beds were so comfy! The only thing that would make it better is a HOTTUB!! Definitely will be renting again :)
The property was very comfortable we enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice if somebody had come in and vacuumed up all the dead bugs before we got there and I would suggest this to keep on Exterminating as there was a lot of live bugs also
The house was even better than expected and the location was perfect. Secluded yet an easy walk to town. Lots of wildlife and nightlife to enjoy. Rental process was easy and communication with the owner was great. Love this house and hope to take friends back with us.
Only downside is you can't use the front porch if there is snow/rain as it drips through the deck above.
