Christmas in Gran Canaria!

The villa was even more beautiful than the photos and just what we wanted for a Christmas stay. We had an absolutely wonderful second week here on the island. It was a great base to carry on exploring the island and it was very easy to access wherever we wanted to go. The woodburner was very much appreciated on the colder winter evenings. The host couldn't have been more welcoming and we felt very much at home. Thank you very much for having us to stay.

Cosy and beautiful home

We stayed at Ruth’s beautiful home in early January for a week. What an oasis she has built, so much love and attention to detail in the house. This is staying at a real well loved home. Well stocked kitchen, so many lovely coves to rest in, a wonderful fireplace for cool evenings, and within the greenest valley on Gran Canaria. Beds were very comfortable and the town of Santa Birgidia is very quaint and authentic, away from the bustle of tourist areas. There is a great hiperdino supermarket an 3 minute drive away, with super selection of fresh fish, vegetables, etc. Although the pool was quite cool on January, we had some brief dips and it was beautifully shaped and maintained. Ruth was extremely helpful making our family of four feel comfortable and welcome. Such a great place and we will absolutely return.

TOP Location für einen wundervollen Urlaub

Die Finca bietet alles, was man sich für einen schönen Urlaub wünscht! Sie ist ruhig gelegen, man ist mit dem Mietwagen von hier aber schnell Richtung Autobahn oder dem Inneren der Insel unterwegs. Die Finca lädt aber auch in jeder Hinsicht dazu ein, den ein oder anderen Tag einfach zu bleiben und zu relaxen. Herzlichen Dank Ruth, für die schöne Zeit! Bianca, Sascha, Marlon & Julius

Ruhige Lage fernab vom Massentourismus, Haus und Grundstück ist traumhaft.

In der idyllisch eingerichteten Finca und der schönen Außenanlage, die über zwei Ebenen geht haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von Rut, unsere Vermieterin, empfangen. Da unsere Kinder erst spät abends anreisten und den Mietwagen gebucht hatten, organisierte Rut für uns einen Shuttle Transfer vom Flughafen ins Objekt. Auch für das Frühstück für den ersten morgen hat sie gesorgt, Holz für den Kamin war da, ausreichendes Wasser sogar frisches Obst, also uns hat an nichts gefehlt. Dafür noch einmal rechtherzlichen Dank an dich Rut. Frühmorgens haben wir leider immer zulange geschlafen, da uns das Ambiente im Wohnbereich und der strahlend Kammin, am Abend nicht losgelassen hatte. Frühstück erst mal zum Bäcker, für die Harten, 30 Minuten hoch auf den Berg zum Bäcker und 20 Minuten runder an den Frühstückstisch, mit den Auto ca. 8 Minuten. Bei frischen Brötchen, Kaffee, Milch, Frühstückseiern, Marmelade und Wurst haben wir die Tagesruten besprochen und dann ging es Berg auf und Berg ab und was wir da alles Schönes gesehen haben verraten wir nicht, müsst ihr selber erkunden. Abends um die Jahreszeit ist es schon etwas kühl auf der Insel in den Bergen. Wir haben den Kamin angeheizt und die Heizquellen eingeschaltet so dass es schön warm in der Finca wurde. An einigen Abenden hatten wir keine Lust zum Essen zu Fahren und haben zu Hause gekocht und gebraten, Makkaroni mit Wurst und Tomatensoße, Kürbissuppe und neben bei Süßkartoffeln als Proviant für den nächsten Tag. Am Silvesterabend haben wir dann gegrillt frischen Fich das war lecker. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Finca und auf der Insel. Elke, Uwe, Thu Ha und Stephan

Auch beim zweiten Mal wieder wunderbar!

Liebe Ruth, wieder einmal hat Deine Finca uns in ihren Bann gezogen und wir haben ein Drittel aller Urlaubstage im Garten, am Pool, im Haus oder auf einer der Terrassen verbracht. Das Flair, die Sauberkeit, die Ausstattung, die sehr gute Kommunikation mit Ruth und natürlich die Lage mit Blick auf den grünen Barranco sprechen für sich :) Wir haben den Aufenthalt wieder genossen und bedanken uns sehr für Deine Gastfreundschaft, den gute Wein, der bereits auf uns wartete und verbleiben bis zum nächsten Mal! Deine Jungs ;)

wunderbares Haus in der Natur

Wir fuhren im November. Schönes verwinkeltes rustikales Haus geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Pool war im November recht kalt, würde aber im Hochsommerdurch Bäume natürlich beschattet werden. Überhaupt ist der großzügige Garten wunderbar. Viele Pflanzenarten und in irgendeiner Ecke wuchert und blüht immer etwas in voller Pracht. Man ist weitab der Touristenzentren inmitten bäuerlichen Dorflebens. Auto erforderlich. Aufgrund der vielen Treppen nur bedingt für Senioren geeignet. Vermieter war unaufdringlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Liebe Grüße an Ruth :-)
