This cozy creekside cottage is your ideal mountain home away-from-home in the Rocky Mountains. Walk to downtown Nederland, convenient to Downtown Boulder as well! We offer discounted stays for 30+ day and multi-month rentals, contact the host for more information!

Enjoy the soothing sounds of the North Beaver Creek, which runs right through our property. Our home spans the creek like a bridge. The fully fenced backyard has a patio, gas grill, charming historic barn and mature spruce trees for privacy.
The home features two bedrooms with queen sized beds, one bath with an open concept living room, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen includes a 5 burner gas range, microwave, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, and all the cooking implements you'll need to make yourself at home. Listen to the sounds of the creek as you take a bath or shower in the claw foot tub.

This rustic cottage does not have AC. We do provide fans for the guests for the hotter summer months and recommend opening windows. Our cottage is located at 8,300' elevation so it's generally about 15-20 degrees cooler than Boulder in the summer. There is an electric wall heater in each of the Bedrooms and a gas stove in the main living space.

We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly rental. If you're coming with children please let us know so we can provide you with a pack-n-play, high chair, hiking backpack, toys, books & more. The playground, children's fishing pond and carousel are within walking distance!

Please note there is no TV in the cottage. Enjoy all the activities the beautiful Colorado Rockies have to offer, or stream on your devices with our high-speed internet.

If you're lucky, you may catch a sighting of one of our neighborhood foxes or even a moose!

You will be renting the entire cottage and will access to the backyard area. The historic barn is not available for guest use.

We have two security cameras on the outside of the house. The cameras point at the driveway and front door of the home as well as the rear door into the home. We only use the cameras for security purposes.

Please note this property is licensed and will never be listed for rent on Craigsl1st or any other platform off site. We only rent through reputable sites.

Very clean and welcoming, with many amenities. The host had provided a basket of great snacks, good coffee and teas, and the kitchen basics. The living area is comfy, and so are the beds. Location is excellent to walking about Nederland.The host is wonderfully communicative, without being interfering. I'd be happy to stay there again!

Stephanie was an awesome host. From the day before arrival, a mid week check-in and the day before we left, she was available to help make our stay perfect. The house had everything we needed upon arrival including yummy treats and a welcome note. We would stay there again for sure.

We recently spent a week in Nederland, visiting family and skiing at nearby Eldora Mountain. This small home was a wonderful discovery for us as a "base camp" for everything we did. The house is located on a quiet side street, but we were able to walk to diverse restaurants, coffee shops, and stores (including a full-size supermarket) in just a few minutes. The interior of the house felt warmly welcoming every time we opened the door and entered: the beds, couch, and chairs were all extremely comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. We were especially impressed by how this home was very attentively supplied with virtually everything we could possibly need during our stay, far exceeding what we usually expect to find in a rental unit. Perhaps best of all for making our stay enjoyable, our host Stephanie was consistently thoughtful, helpful, and responsive in every interaction we had. In regard to both the home itself and the host, we consistently felt more like guests than customers. We will definitely hope to stay in this property again when we return to Nederland.

Great Little House

What a great little house! As others have noted, its location is right in the beating heart of Ned -- walking distance to everything. I really felt like part of the neighborhood. My stay was a longer one, so feeling part of things was a real bonus. The host is a great communicator -- just the right amount -- checking in on me occasionally without being intrusive. A small problem cropped up while I was there and the solution was handled graciously. Even though the house is right in town, moose and bear felt comfortable visiting. Outside, of course. That's what life in the mountains is all about!

Incredible Cottage For Our Anniversary Vacation!

Creekside Retreat in Nederland was the ideal cottage for my husband and I to celebrate our 30th anniversary together in the Colorado mountains! Everything at the property was exactly as listed, and so much more! The owner Stephanie was wonderful - with great information, excellent communication, and even the loan of a backpack for use during our stay. She offered terrific sightseeing and hiking suggestions. We were seeking a private getaway, and the backyard was surrounded by huge trees, even though it was right in town and close to everything. The creek runs through the property and right underneath the house, as mentioned, with such relaxing babbling sounds. We enjoyed seeing the small trout in the creek! We had perfect climate control with good heaters when needed, or windows for fresh air and soothing creek sounds as we fell asleep. The back patio Weber BBQ grill was great, and all appliances in the cottage were top quality. The owners thought of everything a guest might need, and the place was immaculate. The beautiful clawfoot bathtub was glorius, with plenty of hot water. Having no TV was actually a relaxing plus for us, but outstanding wi-fi service was always available. Stephanie graciously accommodated my extreme sensitivity to fragrances: she went above and beyond, by removing any scented items and providing fragrance-free products for our stay. This was our first Vrbo experience, and Stephanie made sure that everything went smoothly. We had an amazing anniversary week at this magical vacation home, in our favorite little mountain town!

Perfect.

Close to everything, and just a quick walk to Barker Rez, this space was perfect for us. Quiet neighborhood, comfy, well laid out- and best of all the kitchen actually had useable cookwear and utensils-unlike a few vrbos we’ve rented in the past. Enough plateware to entertain- which we did the last night we stayed. The amenities were nice, too- personal care products, coffee, snacks, and enough spices to start- all from Trader Joe’s. It’s evident that Stephanie cares for her guest’s comfort- and the little touches throughout made us feel at home. We look forward to our next visit to Casa de Arroyo! Thanks so much!

Our home is built literally over a creek! This is the reason we bought the home and we think you'll love it as well! We have a sweet fenced in back yard that looks onto a historic barn structure. You can walk to all of downtown Nederland!

What makes this property unique

Get away from it all, but have easy access to everything! You can get to our home from Denver Airport with buses and can get by in Nederland on foot without a car. There is a bus stop just a block from our home which will take you to Eldora Ski Resort, Boulder, Denver or the airport!
