We had a great stay the grandkids loved the river and the fact the movie The Fugitive was film across the river. We enjoyed the screen porch. The house was clean and stocked with pots, pans, and kitchen wares.
Booking was easy, communication was fabulous. Check in was super easy and the property was just as described. Beautiful water view! Thanks for a great stay!
We had a great time at this property and very convenient to town and close to other towns to visit . We had to cut our time short but I am sure if were ever go back to Sylva NC this would be a place I would rent again. Everyone was very friendly.
I stayed here for a weekend work trip and it worked PERFECT! My boyfriend fished while I worked and it was so convenient for us both. 10/10 recommend for a couple or small group! Very friendly host who answered all of our questions and made the check in/check out process effortless!
3 friends came for a two night stay for a Cherokee fishing trip. The location was perfect, short drive to Dillsboro and Sylva and 15 minutes to Cherokee casino or rivers. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outside patio is perfect for relaxing at night and listening to the river.
My wife and have been married for a year today and we took off for the weekend to our cabin streams and dreams and it was a wonderful cozy warm little cavin and we were just at home. My wife did shed a few tears because the cabin made her feel at home with her late grandmother who was a big part of her life. We wnjoyed our time away to relax and be free from the world for a couple days with our dogs. We will definitely stay there again and we will be booking for next year. Wonderful host and very informative, respectful and great communicator. Best weekend in a long while
This is the vacation we needed. The cabin/trailer is in the perfect place with peace and tanquility and it is right across from the river. It is very quiet and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. We opened the large window at night and enjoyed listening to the stream and the train on the other side. We sat by the firepit, roasted marshmallows and even viewed an osprey catching fish from the river.
There was little touches the owner added that we enjoyed very much from the coffee station, hand wash and dish wash liquid, to the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower.
The owner was helpful in providing us with a guide book on things to do in town and great restaurants to try.
Overall, we would love to stay here again.
Cute and quite area. Not too high up in the mountains so easy drive. Great for pet friendly.
Easy communication with host. Did not meet them so did not know if they were on site or not. But very easy communication. As for cleanliness it was not to my standards. I think a good deep cleaning would be the overall improvement. Carpet needs a good deep cleaning. Refrigerator and microwave was very clean, oven not so clean. Rained most of the time so internet was not the best. But remember you are in the mountains And that should be considered.

This is the worst VRBO we have ever stayed in. If we had not had our dogs with us, we would have left immediatley after seeing it. We did leave a day early because of the condition of the property. We have never stayed in a pet friedly rental that had carpet. The carpet was stained and very nasty. The kitchen facuet leaked all over the counter every time you turn the water on making a mess. The water ruined some of our baked goods before we saw the leak. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty. We didn't cook, but the pots need to be replaced and my husband said the oven was filthy (I didn't look in it). It needs a thorough cleaning inside and out. The only good thing about this rental is the location on the river.
We had stayed with Tavish before and had a great time. This time was no different - great location, fine facilities and a friendly and unobtrusive host. Great
