On the heights of Orliaguet, 20 km from Sarlat and about 40 km from Rocamadour, for nature lovers, a restoration in the countryside with its old stones, furnished with a style of the Dordogne to offer a quality stay .
It's up to you to discover the exposed beams, the sunny tones of the rooms with their neat bathrooms, all with a mixture of old and new.

A beautiful house in a lovely rural setting. Our family of 3 teenagers and a dog stayed here for a week and it was ideal for our stay. There are lots of wonderful walks straight from the house. The pool is large and fenced and positioned close to a pretty outdoor eating area covered with climbing plants. Indoors, there's a well-equipped kitchen with 2 fridges. Each bedroom is large with very comfy mattresses. The whole house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our lovely hosts were very efficient communicators and welcomed us on arrival. We found the house well-situated for day trips, but to be honest, we mostly spent time walking in the surrounding forests, hanging by the pool and eating!! Loved this house.

Carine and Olivier host a wonderful gite with the option of hiring the adjacent property for a larger group. It is in a remote but easily accessible location in Dordogne, near the river for kayaking and plenty of local activities - the kids enjoyed the tree top ropes nearby.The house is very spacious with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. Private swimming pool and plenty of outdoor games like pétanque, table tennis and darts as well as a huge expanse of land for walking. Carine and Olivier meet you at the property and speak good English. They are very welcoming, staying in the property next door for Saturday night checkin and then leave you to enjoy a restful stay for the rest of the week. My wife and 4 kids and I thoroughly recommend.

A fabulous find for our family holiday

We had a wonderful week here in July. The accommodation was fabulous. It is often difficult to find an appropriate space for 3 adult couples with their own private bathrooms, but this was perfect. Together with the inside space, large living and dining area and really well equipped spacious kitchen, the accommodation met all our needs. We regularly cooked at home inside and outside on the BBQ using the local walnut shells as fuel as recommended by our hosts, accessing good supermarkets and local produce morning markets nearby (Souillac a 10 min drive away). Our host baked us a gateaux - noix, a local speciality which was delicious. The ping- pong, badminton, boules, swimming pool with plenty of loungers and other games meant we always had something to do if not out exploring the river and neighbouring villages, and eating out too. The location was rural and very tranquil and there were amazing sunsets to experience. Our hosts were so welcoming, and provided good detailed information in advance of our visit and during. Thank you, we will be returning I hope

A lovely property which has everything you need, the outdoor space and pool are great for families or groups.The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.I think my only issue is that there is not any aircon. All the rooms have fans but they are not great quality so not very efficient. That said, we had a wonderful holiday and would stay again.The area is beautiful with lots to explore.The contact with the host was fantastic, Carine was exceptionally helpful.

The house itself with 4 bed/4bath - all lovely - was a real find. The swimming pool was fabulous and there is a sunset deck a short walk from the house with a lovely view for sundowners. The surrounding area is perfect for exploring and the nearby village has all kinds of shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time!However, the house felt neglected. No care was taken to present a clean, cared for home. Filled with hand me down scratched kitchen pots, pans, old tea sets and really embarrassing dish towels. It was not cleaned to a standard you would expect of a holiday rental. Dead flies, dust bunnies, lots of spiders / webs and even an ants nest (which they did remove). Dead plants and empty planters did not make it feel welcoming.The house is well equipped with games and there is a pétanque course if you ever get tired of the pool. The lounge only has a three seater sofa so others had to sit on dining chairs when inside. Lovely area outside to relax in but beware the mosquitos and harvest mites.The owners were really kind and helpful, very easy to communicate with via Watsapp. All in all a lovely place and one I will recommend to others. Might I make a few suggestions that will make the next guests happier: Please provide towels, at least for the bathrooms (for those flying in to France), an extra set of bedding for longer stays, extra indoor seating for up to 8 people!

Indeed, the cleaning was carried out by ourselves, and we pay particular attention to this aspect. However, as the house is located in the countryside, it can happen that insects (spiders, flies, ants, etc.) reappear very quickly, even after a thorough cleaning, especially during the summer period. We understand that this may be uncomfortable and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We also thank you for your suggestions, particularly regarding the provision of towels and additional bed linen. These are relevant points that we will carefully consider in order to improve the comfort of our future guests. We are nevertheless pleased that you had an overall enjoyable stay and that you appreciated our availability. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Magnifique endroit !

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en famille dans le domaine de Carine et Olivier. Chaque couple avait sa chambre, sa salle de bain et son wc. Grande cuisine fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Séjour agréable. De nombreux plus: lingerie, tonnelle, barbecue, garage, jeux...et bien sûr, la piscine ! Un terrain immense qui invite au calme et à la sérénité mais aussi aux activités sportives. La tranquillité sans être totalement isolé.Les commerces et les visites à faire sont à seulement quelques kilomètres ce qui permet d’emprunter de très jolies routes périgourdines. L’endroit est idéal pour se ressourcer au contact de la nature avec des proches ou des amis tout en préservant l’intimité de chacun. Carine et Olivier sont charmants, accueillants et disponibles. Un beau gîte et bien équipé

Le gîte est parfait, très bien équipé, vaisselle, machine à laver, sèche linge, table ping pong, baby foot... La météo ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la belle piscine qui doit être très agréable. Un beau lieu au calme avec une table sous la glycine très agréable. Un beau séjour !

Excellent.

Situé dans la campagne de la Dordogne le gîte est très très calme. Son grand espace fermé, enlève tous soucis pour petits enfants et animaux de compagnie. Très bonne conception des 4 chambres chacune avec SB et WC le plus du plus. Beaucoup de vaisselle à dispo. Une piscine chauffée. Par contre un peu difficile à trouver la première fois, ce qui mériterait un guidage plus précis. Nous sommes 4 couples retraités à nous retrouver tous les ans 1 semaine et ce style de gîte est très difficile à trouver. Je mets 5 étoiles.

Très bon séjour dans un joli environnement

Séjour conforme à ce que l'on recherchait. Bon accueil et contacts faciles avec les propriétaires. Il manquait juste le soleil mais la maison spacieuse nous a permis de passer un agréable WE.

Un lieu authentique

Le paradis des enfants et des parents! Nous avons passé un séjour très reposant, l'idéal pour se reposer en pleine campagne et découvrir le Périgord noir ! Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Le calme de la campagne.

Situation en pleine campagne avec magnifique vue, grand terrain, belle maison bien équipée. Piscine, terrasse sous la tonnelle, barbecue,... pour profiter de l'été. A recommander avec des enfants.

Grand gîte propre et très bien équipé ( wii, Ping Pong, baby foot piscine et jacuzzi). Chaque chambre a sa salle de bain! Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et aimables. La vue du gîte est magnifique et l’environnement très calme et paisible. La région est magnifique et offre de nombreuses activités et visites. Gîte à louer sans hésiter!
