2 Bed, 2 Bath With Sofa Bed. Can Sleep 6.

Great get away with all the comforts of home. Fully furnished kitchen and living room with sofa bed and wood burning fireplace, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, washer/dryer,and cable and WiFi (installed 9/24/19). Outside, there is a deck on 2 sides with a hot tub. Easy access from the driveway with 1 small step up. Towels and linens provided. Full access to resort amenities including , in season, pool and Douglas Lake boat launch. Other area boat launches available year round. Many, many other attractions all within driving distances. Please note that this property is currently for sale. Listing requests that new owners honor all current reservations.

Very nice cabin

It was very nice but extremely dusty on the fans, etc., probably due to the fireplace. My family struggles with dust allergies, so it was a hindrance, but overall a great stay!

Secluded. Comfortable. Restful. Please hire a new cleaning company...

Well-maintained bldg. Nicely secluded. Well equipped kitchen area. Awesome Fireplace. Deep bathtubs. Bed/furniture very comfortable. Polite,responsive host. Would stay again. Neutral 3 stars for cleanliness because the unsanitary hot tub was not under the host's fault. The host was apologetic. I filed a complaint with the TN Dept of Health about this and other cabins with hot tubs that had not been drained and refilled between renters.  I believe that the cleaning agent defrauded the host (and myself) by charging a fee for a service that they did not perform.   On arrival the free chlorine level was over 20 ppm. It also had a foul smell of chloramines, i.e. chlorine combined with skin cells, sweat, cosmetics, and other bodily "discharges". That is only possible if there was organic matter for the chlorine to attach to. If the tub was drained and refilled, the water might smell of excess chlorine, but NOT chloramines. Drain/refilling a 300+ gallon tub takes over an hour.  I believe that the cleaning company drained some of the water, then shocked it with the intention of adding water to re-dilute the chlorine and then forgot to top off the tub in a rush to cover up the fact that they don't actually drain the tubs.  This happens each time I rent a cabin in Sevier County.  When I chat with cleaning crews I hear the same thing: 15 to 20 cabins a day.  If the law requires a drain and refill, who is performing the hot tub cleaning? Apparently, no one.

Cozy cabin!

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. Mrs Nancy was a great host. Easy to get in touch with. Beds are soooo soft and comfortable. The kids loved the board games. Will definitely be back!

Cozy cabin in the woods. 4 1/2 Stars

The stay and location were great. The cabin was clean, private and just as it was pictured on the website. The host was easy to work with and very accommodating. The hot tub was nice, I would suggest turing the temp on it up to at least 102 Degrees to fully relax. The biggest issue we had was with the Dryer. It tends to eat and / or Burn some of the items inside. A few of our items ended up with holes and a scorch mark. They get caught on the inner rim when you open the dryer. I did bring it to the hosts attention and she said she would have maintenance check it out. Otherwise, a great stay overall. I would give this place a 4 1/2 Star rating, but they do not give me that as an option.

Spring Break trip!

Great location in Douglas Lake Resort. Driveway steep, but we made it! All was great. Our only issue was the washing machine or dryer, not sure which, but we ended up with 4 shirts and 2 pairs of leggings with small slit holes in them……I would not use them. Again, everything else was great.

The cabin was a beautiful and we had a cozy welcoming with dim lights and music playing when we arrived. It was perfect for our family vacation ranging in various ages. Everything was very clean. Town wasn’t too far of drive. Wish we had better views from the cabin.

Great Cabin

This cabin was everything as described. The owner was always available, actually went out of her way to make sure we was well taken care of. Wasn’t too far from town but still very private. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time and the cabin was amazing. It was clean and cozy and just exceeded out expectations. When we first arrived we had a couple questions and they were answered almost immediately….we love the area and are truly jealous of everyone who gets to call it home.

Overall was a nice place. Location was good. The two bedrooms had paper thin walls. The distribution of air throughout cabin wasn't great... warm in livingroom due to ceiling fan being in reverse. Was a cute place and would recommend.

Great Hidden Cabin

Well, 1st impressions are lasting impressions. Somehow I got the wrong address number and was looking for an address that did not exist. With VRBO it was easy to find the correct address number. I reached out to the property owner who almost immediately called me back and guided me to the cabin while I was on the phone with her. That was outstanding. I would have been lost without her help. The cabin is just off the main road, but easily missed because it sits behind a group of trees which blocks the view of the house numbers. Along with the challenging location, the driveway to the cabin is a steep climb wrapping around to the back side of the cabin. There’s plenty of space for two vehicles. However, be warned that bringing a large truck such as a dually or even a full size quad cab, might not fit easily. I pulled a motorcycle trailer and once the owner found out, she told me the resort does not permit trailers to be parked at the cabin. There’s plenty of trailer parking in the reserved lots, you just need to make those arrangements in advance of your arrival or the day of. Once inside the cabin, we found it very clean and inviting. Well equipped and ready for us to enjoy. A couple of very minor maintenance issues were present upon arrival. The owner responded immediately and a maintenance worker arrived quickly to resolve the issues. All in all, we had a great weekend and really enjoyed the cabin.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and so quiet. The manager was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I would just suggest washing the floor because I accidentally had a spill and when I tried to wipe it up the towel was black just from a few swipes of water cleaned up. I think housekeeping is skipping washing the floor after each stay possibly. Our feet also got dirty walking on it. The rest of the cabin was clean though.

2022 Fall getaway at Douglas Lake Resort

We really enjoyed our stay our cabin was clean, cozy and we really enjoyed it I loved all the natural light. My husband and I invited our very best friends to stay with us they also enjoyed their stay we give it a 10. Thank you so much!
