Overall, the cabin was clean, and we had no issues checking in. I would recommend bringing or renting a boat. The cabin was family-friendly, and the sunset views were worth the price of the rental and then some!
We had such a very relaxing time, it was so nice to sit on the porch and the dock was so nice, done some fishing and just letting our feet in the water was so nice
Lake was great for swimming and floating. Disappointed there was no fire pit as shown in the listing. House keeping could do a better job of cleaning. Lots of dust on some of the furniture and under the beds. Checkout time listed on Vrbo was different than host checkout time, but host accommodated. Overall good experience.
Had a great stay, the only thing I would like people to know before booking is that Douglas Lake does lower the water level every winter, unfortunately it has not been refilled when we stayed in April 25 so the dock shown in the pics were roped off and not useable. Wish we knew that when booking as we were picking cabins with a dock access on site
Everything appeared as advertised. I sent a message to the PM which never received a response. When I received the arrival information or "Keys to the trip" the email states Sorry, we do not WIFI under the WIFI heading, confusing but yes there is WiFi. I could never get the shower in the hallway to come on. The knob on the spigot didn't work for me. Those were the only negatives and definitely non-issues in my book. The view was great, everything was clean, the instructions were straight-forward. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. If I get the opportunity to go again I will bring a couple kayaks for the lake access. The grill is charcoal so keep that in mind.
Our stay was relaxing. This was the perfect place to get away from the real world and connect with each other. The rocking chairs overlooking the lake gave a perfect place to share time. No noise and distractions. The Hide Away we all needed.
We really enjoy this cabin so much. Its away from all of the craziness and we especially love the wood burning fireplace. Just a sweet place to get away from things for a few days.
Not West Virginia (where my wife is from) but beautuful scenery, cabin, view from the deck, and weather. We had a great time. Isolated at the cabin but a short drive to shopping and tourist activities. Highly recomend
We had a wonderful time. The driveway is very cumbersome for large vehicles. Also, the hot water heater seems to be very small as it started to run out before we finished showering. Other than that, everything was perfect.
The cabin was comfortable. The dock and the steps down to the lake could use a little maintenance. It was very relaxing and peaceful sitting in the rocking chairs overlooking the lake.
This was my second time at this property, again we enjoyed our time in this awesome place. Love waking up and drinking coffee on deck over looking Douglas Lake. This place is worth the stay, not to far from everything. A 5 ⭐ stay.
The location overlooking the lake is beautiful. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and included most everything needed. I highly recommend this cabin but there are a couple of minor items to keep in mind. First we had a terrible time finding it. The directions said unit 88. We finally gave up and called the owner only to learn that the unit numbers have been changed. That would have been nice to know beforehand but at least the owner responded right away.Second, the internet is not made available to the visitor. I just assumed there was no internet due to the remote location. But that’s not the case. Access simply isn’t provided for reasons unknown. Finally the shower in the second bath is inoperable. There is no diverter to change from tub to the shower head. No idea why.Otherwise the cabin is awesome, and it is convenient to a grocery store and everything Pigeon Forge / Seiverville has to offer.
This is the second time we have stayed here. Waking up with the water view is wonderful, so relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood and was perfect for our 35th wedding anniversary. Just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
I absolutely loved my stay. The only down side was the parking. We had a boat and had to park separate from the house. But it was secure and safe. Otherwise, everything was great with an amazing view. Will be returning!
Cabin was exactly as described. Nice & Cozy. Beautiful view. Would recommend backing down the shared drive. Perfect location if want quiet place off the beaten path.
