My communication with the host were wonderful. Very cute cabin, pretty much had everything you need. Only drawback was it’s on a steep graded road to get in and Parking was a little difficult for 2 vehicles . But we figured it out after several attempts. Was in a great location. Would definitely recommend.

A good three bedroom cottage within Northpoint community near Davis WV. Interiors are well maintained. Basement bedroom and bathroom looks new and renovated. Exteriors and roofing needs repair but we didn’t face any issues.

The house location was very accessible to activities. The outside had a bunch of leaves and window blinds broken which were not a good first impression. There was no location of lockbox in description or the narrow spiral staircase to the bottom floor. There were obvious repairs needed on the outside and doors.Kitchen was great and had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, especially after we found them in the dishwasher. I felt the lighting was very dim. The over head lights are dim and limited table lamps. The couches in LR were comfy but light colored and stained, possibly bc up against baseboard heating. We found baby clothes and pill container under beds. The bathrooms were clean. We did not burn a fire. And due to its extremely steep entry road to the house I would not rent again.The host was ok. I’m not a frequent VRBO client and wish texting was the primary communication if help was needed. I probably should have asked more questions.

Host was very accessible when needed and accommodating. Kitchen, bathrooms, and sittinf area was very clean. Had a full cabin of games to enjoy. We didn't spend much time at the cabin but we did enjoy the time we were there.

We stayed here while participating in the Canaan Valley half marathon /10K /5K. The home was clean and cozy just as described and met all our needs for the weekend. Easy access to multiple other areas of interest. Nice home with well equipped kitchen, large outdoor terrace, comfortable living room.

We hope to come back as soon as possible! This beautiful home was even better than the pictures. Huge deck with gorgeous views, sunken living room with wood-burning fireplace, games, amazing CD collection, open kitchen, every room with it's own full bathroom. Truly a lovely place and so close to the slopes!

This cabin was fully stocked with anything you could need. The downstairs area was great for the evening time spent at the cabin. The checking in process was super easy as well as the check out instructions. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

This cabin was cute and cozy! It was clean and comfortable, and it met all of our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked so we could cook, the rooms/bathrooms were great, and the host was easy to communicate with. It was the perfect, quiet getaway!

The recommendation that you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle should be taken seriously. In the winter, I don't see how you could navigate a vehicle there without 4-wheel drive - something that the listing makes clear in it's description. The home is on a steep incline, unpaved, loose gravel road with limited space to navigate your vehicle, turn around, park, etc. During our stay in late June 2026 construction crews were tearing up the road and laying fiber optic cable which made everything worse and construction crews were staying in neighboring home(s) with limited regard to those looking for peace and quiet. The home itself is well furnished and adequate for short term stays but it is an older home and needs some work in several areas to close gaps around doors, screens, etc. It's rural so sometimes this can be challenging for city dwellers to adjust to (i.e. well water, critters, etc.) - all the things that also make escaping the city attractive. There's a lot to do in the area if you enjoy nature, hiking, the outdoors, etc. Host was responsive and answered all our questions. There's no air-conditioning but there's a very effective attic fan that helps to keep the home cool. It's loud but pulls the air through the home rather well. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals and we used the washer/dryer without any trouble.

Host messaged us promptly with directions and check in info before our arrival. The house itself is beautiful, spacious and comfortable.We were there during a major storm that froze up a good portion of the US this January, the roads and the driveway were plowed twice during the storm but we still needed do to a lot of digging and had to use chains on our 4WD to get out of the driveway and the resort roads, with all the VERY crusty ice everywhere. No reflection whatsoever on the host, but they are not kidding when they say 4WD at a minimum to access the steep driveway in the winter!

Our long weekend getaway in March started with half a foot of snow and ended with spring temperatures. We found everything we needed, including shovels to deal with the snow. We enjoyed the CD collection and loved gazing at the stars from the deck in the dark. Everyone had settled on a favorite coffee mug from the eclectic collection by the end of our stay. Our dog enjoyed the local squirrels and deer, but she was not keen on the spiral stairs. The upstairs bedrooms had high ceilings with fans and bathroom shower heads placed high enough for taller guests. The only conversation we needed with the responsive host was accommodating and cordial. The driveway was an opportunity to flex our WV driving skills and our necessary all-wheel drive. This cozy cabin was a wonderful outpost to explore so many fantastic things that the area had to offer.
